Chapter 34: How…
(Maralia’s POV)
Due to the typical bureaucracy of how the game is run, the debates on what to do with Celia kept going on and on. Eventually, I had to step in and advise Celia on what to do.
Kerstan: “Did she agree?” He asked with a stern tone.
Maralia: “You saw how weak she pretended to act.” I reply with a light scoff.
Kerstan: “But there is no guarantee that she won’t just use her current Status to the fullest…” He griped.
Maralia: “I’ll ask her not to do so.” I add.
Kerstan: “Will she even agree to your request? We understand that you’re partial to that woman, but would Celia also be partial with you as well?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.
Hm… I thought that revealing our relationship would bring trouble, but maybe not doing so will be even more of a problem. Oh, well. I don’t particularly care how others see me, so I guess it is time to reveal it.
Maralia: “As one of her wives, Celia is sure to listen to my advice.” I reply with a smile.
Stolen story; please report.
Kerstan: “This…” He was too shocked to say any more.
Maralia: “Surprising? Well, now that you all know, you’ll understand how fair I have been in regards to Celia.” I reply with a laugh.
Debates started again, and as their words didn’t mean much to me, since I could easily kill them all to get my way, I ignored them. Instead, I went back to messaging my wife.
Maralia: “Celia, please use your head for this part of the game, and don’t use your Status at all.”
Celia: “What should I do exactly?”
Maralia: “Be weak for at least a few days, and then pretend to evolve. Pick a magic element to use as your power, and before awakening it, fall asleep for two days.”
Celia: “Okay, I’ll do that then. Shouldn’t be too hard, as I can easily bluff my way out of most things. Though, can’t I just eat a bunch of those Level Up Crystals?”
Maralia: “…”
Celia: “???”
Maralia: “How many left do you have stored up?”
Celia: “Oh, a few million. You do realize that I give out bribes all the time, and that I have so many SIPs to spend, right?”
Ah… Stupidly, I forgot about Celia’s tendency to horde piles upon piles of items that she might never use, as well as food… Her plan will work like this then.
Maralia: “Eat a bunch of them, but just pretend that you’re just stronger than an Enhanced Human. With this plan, you can get through most situations without anyone knowing that you’re cheating.”
Celia: “Alright!”
Maralia: “Celia still has a lot of Level Up Crystals, and she agreed to only act stronger than an Enhanced Human.” I say out loud, breaking up their worthless arguments.
Everyone in the Room: “( o_o)”
Kerstan: “That… would work. This will help her still be able to be on top, and the views won’t lessen, either.” He agreed with a happy tone.
With that, everything calmed down once more. Seriously… Celia keeps doing crazy things, even when she doesn’t try to do so. And, in reality, despite the cruelty of this game, the views is what are important to most of the staff. After all, the more viewers, the more SIPs they get in payment…
