Chapter 33 Garentia is Confusing...
(*Celia’s POV*)
From a long time ago, it seems that Heaven’s technology had relapsed. Garentia was sitting at her desk, just working and writing things on her laptop. So far, she hadn’t done anything to me, and Garentia seemed completely lost in her work.
I…I don’t know why, but I felt like I really liked this woman. Not as a friend, but on the same level as I like my wives. Which is weird, as we do not know each other. Like with Ria, I felt like I wanted to pamper her while she worked.
Looking around the room, there was a snack bar. No, wait… There was an entire kitchen! She told me to sit, but even when I got up from the couch, Garentia didn’t seem to notice.
I had no intention of running away, despite God silently begging me to do so. I walked over to the kitchen, found a cabinet that had cups in it, and then I took a cup out. With the cup, I made some hot tea for Garentia.
This was Heaven. New Heaven, at that, but it seemed that brands existed. The tea looked of very high quality, as well. It took only a few minutes for me to make the tea, so I brought it over to Garentia to drink. She looked stressed, so hopefully the tea will help her.
Garentia: “…This is?” She asked with a confused expression.
Celia: “Some tea. There were a few brands, so I wasn’t sure which you preferred.” I answered.
Garentia: “Thank you.” She said with a smile.
I pretended not to notice Garentia blocking the screen of her laptop by pulling the lid down. Was her work so secret? Or was she watching porn?… I didn’t know the answer, so I went back to the kitchen.
Thankfully, I did learn how to cook a while back. I opened up the fridge and was happy to see various ingredients for me to use. I didn’t ask for Garentia’s permission, but she was once again lost in her work.
I decided to make her some chicken fried rice with teriyaki chicken. I’ve never pampered a woman like this that wasn’t one of my wives, but even so, I was lost in cooking. Similar to how Garentia was lost in her work. When the food was almost done, Garentia surprised me by hugging my back once more.
Garentia: “That smells amazing!” She said while happily rubbing her head on the side of mine.
Celia: “It’s almost done, Mistress.” I reply.
Garentia: “Okay. I’ll go back to working, then. Please call out to me when it is done, otherwise I won’t notice.” She said with a smile before walking away.
Why the fuck do I feel like a kept woman at the moment? Fuck… this crazy woman has made me realize my true desires… I don’t want to fight and work so hard, I just want to stay home and pamper my family.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
At least, for a while, that is. Clearly, I am beyond burned out at this point. Me sleeping during my evolution didn’t count, and I am reaching my limit. Once this is all over, I need some major rest…
While finishing up the food, I realized how stupid both God and I were… The sign outside the building looked kinda like a bar, but I just recalled the inside wasn’t at all. In fact, it was just a normal office building.
I guess that I am really tired, as what kind of bar has a receptionist wearing a very conservative OL outfit? I mean, maybe a high-class bar would do something like that? Look, in my first life, I ended up being a teacher. And, I hate alcohol, as well as parties. I never even been to a bar before…
Celia: “Mistress, the food is done.” I say with an oddly happy tone.
Was I really this happy with acting like a housewife? Me, the person has killed so many people and creatures? Fuck… I already said this a few times, but I really, really need a break. With a sigh in my heart, I set up two plates on the dining table.
Rather than an office, it seemed as if Garentia lived in this place. As I was lost in thought, Garentia showed up behind me once more. When I turned around, she smiled and patted my head. Then she walked over to her sit and sat down. I quickly did the same, and sat down on my spot.
Garentia: “This looks like a high-class chef made it.” She praised.
Celia: “Thank you…” I reply with a blush.
Garentia started to eat, and everything was fine. That was, until tears started pouring down her face. She looked to be in shock, but quickly regained her composer and acted like she didn’t just cry. Is she lonely? Really? In this city, that is basically her harem?…
After a quiet meal, Garentia went back to work, and I went to wash the dishes. As I was washing, I realized that I was a complete idiot… Why the fuck would I wash dishes by hand, when I can just use cleaning magic? Man, I am tired…
With a quiet sigh, I found something to store the leftovers in and then put them in the fridge. Apart from the ingredients, there weren’t really any prepared meals, so at least Garentia will have something to eat later.
Garentia: “What is your name?” She asked.
While she was working, I went back to chill on the couch. I was lost in thought once more, and didn’t realize that she sat down in front of me.
Celia: “Celia.” I reply.
Garentia: “…Where is your ID?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “ID?” I say with a head tilt.
Garentia: “This is just a normal slave collar… Didn’t they give you an ID once you ended up here?” She asked with a confused expression.
Celia: “I’ll be honest. I woke up in an alleyway, and once I saw that everyone was wearing these collars, I got worried. Luckily, I found one that was discarded. Is it not the same?” I ask with an unsure tone.
Garentia: “Hm… You must have just got to Heaven, then. How lucky that you ended up here instead of outside. Though, if you’re new, why did you call me Mistress?” She asked with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Instinct?” I reply.
Garentia: “Hah… Most here don’t even realize that I am actually the one in control… It has been a long time since someone has called me “Mistress” Call me Garentia instead.” She suggested.
Celia: “Alright… Wait, then why did you invite me up to your office?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Garentia: “A moment of weakness, perhaps? I find you to be quite cute, and you weren’t an employee of mine. Regardless, thank you for giving me your time. The food was amazing, and I really appreciate it.” She said with a smile.
Celia: “Thanks. It’s nice when people get to enjoy my food.” I reply with a smile of my own.
Garentia got up from the couch and walked over to me. Her smile was like a fierce beast. Except she didn’t want to kill me. It seems that I have gained her interest by accident… Before I could say something, Garentia put her hand on my head and I fell asleep…
