Chapter 72: My Wife was Kidnapped, but Leisure Goes on.
(Zia’s POV)
Ria: “I do wonder who will permanently be in control.” She said with a curious tone.
Zia: “Who knows? Not like it matters right now. But I am sure that we will just be able to switch at will.” I reply with a shrug.
It has been over a month now, and Ria had finally woken up over a week ago. My recovery has gone smoothly, and recently, my family was finally letting me actually leave the estate.
Ria and I both share the same body and soul, but it’s not like we are fully together. For instance, me thinking right now, Ria cannot hear any of it. Nor can I hear her thinking, either.
Ria: “Regardless, do please enjoy Heaven. Celia worked a lot to make sure it was safe, so you should appreciate her efforts.” She advised.
Zia: “When was I ever one to belittle or think less of Celia? That was your problem, not mine.” I reply with a smug tone.
Ria: “Ooooh, says the girl that was still fine with peeping in on her thoughts. If you don’t recall, we have already fixed that breach of Celia’s personal space.” She shot back.
Zia: “…”
Damn… she got me there. With Ria’s memories, only now do I know that listening in on Celia’s thoughts was a very bad thing to do. It was bad, because it upset her, and Celia just never mentioned it.
Mena: “Mom, are you having fun?” She asked with an unsure tone.
Zia: “I am having fun, Mena. I was just talking to Ria.” I answer with a smile.
Mena was the one to take me out, with the others staying home. Like it was some weird prison experiment, I wasn’t the only being watched. All those that could leave Heaven wanted to do so and go save Celia.
According to God, only she and I are actually able to find Celia. That is just her assumption, though. The search for Celia is still very early, and we don’t have very much at all to go on right now.
For one, we still have no idea how Sava managed to avoid everyone for so long. With the history we do know, she was always reclusive, and rarely would any higher being find her.
And those that did find her, would end up dead. Fetichia and Yemi weren’t of any help, either. As the memories regarding Sava were blurred. Sava obviously did that on purpose. Which is kinda scary…
Mena: “Wow! Look at that one! I am sure that Celia would enjoy exploring this place.” She happily said.
She was looking at a sea creature, as we had gone to an aquarium. Such a place is good for dates, and for taking your family members out on a bonding trip. And this one… Why was it so grand?
Zia: “Mena… why is this place so big?” I ask with a curious tone.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
It was like every sea creature, from every dimension, was in this place. I now know that Heaven is extremely massive, and practically endless, but does that make it okay to build an aquarium that was miles long?…
Mena: “Ah, well, you see… Celia really likes aquariums. And this place is owned by Garentia.” She answered.
Zia: “Garentia? Isn’t that Celia’s newer wife?” I say with a head tilt.
Ria’s memories, like I said, were vague and foggy. And the woman herself was currently sleeping. Ria woke up, but she would have to sleep a lot. We both were still recovering, after all.
Mena: “Yeah! She made this place specifically for Celia. Isn’t that so romantic?” She answered with a wistful tone and expression.
Zia: “…”
Mena: “Oh! And we call her, Tia. Which is amazingly funny.” She added.
Zia: “How is it funny?” I ask in reply.
Mena: “Currently, Celia has five wives. Lia, Nia, Ria, Tia, and now you, Zia. Why does all of her wife’s names end with an ia?” She clarified, trying not to laugh.
Zia: “…”
At her words, I broke out into laughter, which she joined in on. That’s right… It is an oddity with Celia, one that doesn’t make any sense at all. It doesn’t make sense, as why would the Will bother to do that?
If this was something done by the Will, then why is Guinevere going to be Celia’s six wife? That woman breaks the entire chain of ia’s. In the end, I can only assume that it was just a major and funny coincidence.
Mena: “But enough about Celia… We’re supposed to be having fun!” She said, snapping out of her thoughts, and grabbing my hand.
Mena dragged me to another part of this almost endless aquarium. And I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t having fun, despite Celia not being here with us. How could someone not enjoy this place?
It was almost alien, in a sense. Most of the sea creatures here were ones that I have never seen before. So… that is what Tia has been doing while waiting for Celia to get back, huh? What a dutiful wife she is…
Mena: “I want to take Celia here one day…” She said, still ended up being sad.
Of course, going by the wise words of my dear wife, Celia, sad girls need to be comforted as well as pampered. As such, I gave Mena a loving hug. To which she happily accepted.
Alisa, Nina, and Ruina, were all very mature people by the time that Celia adopted them. Mena, though she lived a long time as a ghost, is still very young. Unlike them, she still greatly needs Celia in her life.
Mena: “Celia… and you all… saved me. You all gave me what I well and truly needed, and that is something that I can never, ever repay any of you for.” She said with some small sobs.
Ria: “We have never asked you to do so, nor ever expect it from you, Mena. You’re part of our family, and we aren’t the type of family that requires an input such as repayment.” She explained with a loving tone.
Mena: “I know… I am actually just crying… because I won’t be able to do anything to save Celia.” She admitted, sobbing some more.
Ria: “Mena… it is too early for you to hold on to such a burden. You don’t have the strength or power, and that isn’t your fault at all.” She replied.
Mena: “…”
Ria: “You don’t need to do anything other than be in our family. We love you dearly, never forget that. And Celia doesn’t resent or hate you for your powerlessness.” She continued.
Mena: “…That’s what makes it more painful… But, yeah, you’re right about that. Celia wouldn’t like to see me mopping like this.” She said, finally putting a smile back on her cute face.
Ria woke up, and she easily took control of our body. It was nice to know that Ria loved our daughter so much. Not like I wasn’t going to console Mena… I was! But Ria butted in before I could do so. Cheeky witch!! Stealing my spotlight as a mother… I will get her back for this!!!
Ria: “Besides, knowing Celia, she might have already seduced that Sava by now.” She jokingly replied.
Mena: “Ha! I wouldn’t put such a thing past her. That woman is oddly very good at seducing other women… Oh, and, Ria?” She replied.
Ria: “What is it?” She asked.
Mena: “Bring Zia back! It was supposed to be my bonding time with her. You already had your turn!” She said with a pout.
Ria: “…”
Mena: “But, really. Thank you for consoling me, Ria. I love you.” She said, giving her a hug.
Ria: “I love you too.” She said with a loving tone.
With a slight chill, I was then back in control of our body. Locking arms with Mena, I continued to explore this aquarium with my loving daughter. This place was great, as I can take Alisa here as well, and not be bored. That is just how big of a damn aquarium it was. I will have to… no, I need to praise Tia later!…
