Chapter 37: Strange Girl.
(Alisa’s POV)
As I sit on my throne, I am happy about watching the world burn to the ground. Some will survive this, and that is what I wanted in the first place. The world was full of useless people, that did neither good nor bad.
With such people living, there wasn’t any hope of real progress. The times of pain are forgotten, replaced by some wars that will never affect most people outside of said wars. As such, a drastic change was needed.
Alisa: “Fin met an interesting human, right? Bring her to me.” I order one of my maids, who responded with a bow.
Fin, despite being one of the first I’ve changed, never got up high in the ranks. In total, she is the strongest of our force, but doesn’t do anything with that power. I can’t blame her, though.
Give a girl who only wishes for peace ultimate power, and she will either just destroy the world in pursuit of said peace, or do nothing at all. And Fin is one such girl. This is a good thing, as she could possibly overthrow me otherwise.
And the woman… well, she was a random human that Fin happened to run into. Rather than listen to Fin’s warning, the woman stayed around in that forest to kill the monsters that spawned.
The problem was that she had killed way too many monsters. I used most of my Mana Crystal reserves to plant monster farms in easier areas. With the plan to use more when we have them on hand to reinforce the numbers of the more dangerous monsters.
With the destruction she caused, I had to dip into our emergency Mana Crystal reserves. After all, it would be a shame to give the remaining humans a good camp free of monsters so early on. Soon, Fin was before me.
Fin: “Yes, Mistress?” She said with a bow.
Alisa: “That girl, where is she now?” I ask with a curious tone.
Despite it probably being treason, Fin brought the woman here to, not only one of our camps, but our main one to boot. I didn’t mind, as interesting people are things that I will always forgive. That woman and Fin being included in that list.
Fin: “I sent her away.” She answered, not lifting her head.
Alisa: “…Why?” I ask with a head tilt.
Fin: “…”
Alisa: “Answer truthfully, and nothing bad will happen to you, Fin. I swear.” I say with a serious tone.
Fin: “She was too dangerous, so I sent her to the area with currently the strongest spawned monsters.” She answered.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Alisa: “…”
Fin: “…”
Alisa: “How was she dangerous?” I ask.
Fin: “The power she amassed in such a short time is staggering. If she is to be left alive, then there will come a day when she strikes you down, Mistress.” She replied.
Alisa: “Really? From what I’ve heard, she didn’t seem to the type of person who would do such a thing.” I reply.
Fin: “She really didn’t. But I preferred to not take the chance.” She replied with a sigh.
Alisa: “…”
Has Fin lost the point of this entire plan? My intention wasn’t to become the supreme ruler of this world. Instead, I only wanted the strongest and most interesting people to survive. Once they did, they will be able to rebuild the world even better than it originally was previously. And, of course, I will lend my hand in helping them do so.
Fin: “Mistress?” She said with a nervous tone.
Alisa: “If it wasn’t for me keeping my word, I would have you executed, Fin.” I say with an angry tone.
Fin: “I am aware of that, yes.” She replied.
Alisa: “What are the chances that the woman will survive?” I ask with a curious tone.
Fin: “Celia? I didn’t fight her, so I have no real idea of her current power. But if I was to make a guess… she has a 10% chance of surviving.” She said with a thinking pose, finally lifting her head to look at me.
Alisa: “Just 10%? Is she really that powerful in the first place?” I reply with an unsure tone.
Fin: “Her potential seems to be endless. After all, unlike most humans with strong souls, she wasn’t affected by your worldwide spell in the least. Not to mention, but her mental strength should be praised as well.” She explained.
Endless potential? I remember that higher being, who started me out on this journey saying something similar about me not that long ago. A person similar to me? I am even more interested in her now…
Alisa: “If she survives, I want you, or anyone else that meets her, to bring her to me.” I order.
Fin: “Mistress!” She rejected with a serious expression on her face.
Alisa: “Catch her early, so that I can get her to sign an agreement to not hurt me. Once such a thing is signed, then we will have no reason to go against her, right?” I say with a nonchalant tone.
Fin: “…”
Alisa: “Follow my orders, that is all. Dismissed!” I say with a tone of absolution.
Besides causing the apocalypse, I am considered to be a very kind and fair ruler. As such, when I give such stern orders like this one, my people tend to listen to them without complaint. Fin being the outlier, as she is special to me.
Though, such an order will surely confuse my people. Fin is really the only other person that I’ve ever paid much attention to at all. Even in my own people, there isn’t anyone as interesting as Fin and that Celia woman…
Maid: “My Lady, do you plan on marrying that woman, Celia?” She asked with a bow.
Alisa: “Marry? Hm… No, I don’t think so. For one, we have never met. And two, the reason for my order was due to my interest in her. She is the first human to get so strong, you know.” I answer.
Maid: “…”
Alisa: “Not to mention, but I already planned to not take anyone as a spouse in this life.” I continue with a laugh.
Even before the plan kicked off, those around me, my people, have been trying to arrange a marriage for me. The maid, in this case, didn’t actually care about Celia. Instead, she was just trying to probe if I was a lesbian or not.
They have brought many men to me for marriage, but I rejected them all. For one, I am a lesbian. And for two, I won’t be marrying anyone, ever. It feels like… I have a destined lover somewhere, and I have no intentions of overlooking our love, even if I will never find her again…
Maid: “You will have to take someone’s hand in marriage one day, Mistress.” She said with a sigh.
Alisa: “So you say. You won’t be able to find a spouse for me, though.” I reply with a shrug.
Maid: “…”
The look on her face was good. Not in the sense that she was happy, she wasn’t. Rather, I liked her reaction. I don’t know where I got this habit, but I love seeing the reaction of girls. Simply put, I just like teasing them. I do hope that my destined lover won’t mind this little habit of mine…
