Chapter 37: Talk With God.

(*Celia’s POV*)

When I woke up, there was a maid in the room. Which is something that I’ve gotten used to already. Basically, she was just here to help me get up in the morning. But right now, I need to have a private chat…

Celia: “Good morning. Could you please leave? I want to rest for a little bit longer.” I ask.

Maid: “Yes, of course, Lady Celia.” She said with a bow before leaving the room.

Huh… that was easier than I thought that it would be… Looking around, I quickly caught sight of God. She was sleeping in the air, right next to my bed. Do Gods, or rather God, need to sleep? Ah, I do, so that answers my question.

Celia: “God, wake up. Let’s have a little talk.” I say with a quiet tone.

God: “Ah! Aw… I was having a good dream…” She said with a pout.

As she woke up, she completely undid her invisibility. But it should be fine. All of the maids knock on my door before coming in, so God has more than enough time to hide once more.

Celia: “…”

God: “What did you want to talk about? Is about how you’ve seduced our enemy?” She said with an angry tone.

Celia: “To be fair, you led me right to her. And, you said that she actually wasn’t evil.” I reply with a shrug.

God: “I did… Dammit! I guess I can’t blame you for this… But you do realize that you will have to leave her, right?” She said with a serious tone.

Celia: “Why?” I reply.

God: “…Don’t tell me that you want to bring her back to our time!?” She exclaimed.

Celia: “I do, yes.” I reply with a nod.

God: “…”

Celia: “?”

God: “Ah, my head…” She said while rubbing her head.

Celia: “I have that effect on people.” I say with a giggle.

God: “Do you think that Garentia will agree? I mean, it would be hard for anyone to convince me to give up control of Heaven…” She said with a thinking pose.

Celia: “I think she is ready to give it up by now… Ah, how far into the future even are we?” I ask with a curious tone.

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

God: “Hm… Let me check… Oh, I can’t tell exactly, but at the very least, it is 12,000 years from our time. To think that Amelie and Alisa would still remember you after so long…” She explained.

Huh? That fucking long!? Dammit… I want to cry now… I didn’t realize that I had left them alone that long. They had every right to be angry at me, even if it wasn’t my fault at all. I need to be more careful in the future…

Celia: “Did you happen to peak at Garentia’s laptop?” I ask.

God: “Nope.” She replied.

Celia: “Huh? Why not? It would be good to figure out what she is so focused on so that I can help her out.” I reply.

God: “The same reason why your System helper can’t peek on you when you go take a bath, or use the restroom, and have sex with your wives.” She answered.

Celia: “What… Ruina peeps on me all the time, though?” I say with a head tilt.

God: “Then you must have given her permission to do so, either directly or indirectly. If we higher beings could peep on anything we want, it would be too much power. And the work on Garentia’s laptop is important enough to her that I can’t peep on it.” She replied with a sigh.

How annoying… Though, it does feel nice to know that even God has limits to what she can and cannot do. Ah, now that I think about it, hasn’t she been neglecting, like, everything for a long time? I hope that she stays true to her word to do better…

God: “How long are you going to play house with Garentia?” She asked with a curious tone.

Celia: “House? God, I am very tired. I feel like this is a good chance to take a break for a while.” I answer with a shrug.

God: “Well, it’s not like Heaven is in danger at the moment. I mean, it already happened in this era, anyway.” She replied with a shrug of her own.

Huh… Speaking of Heaven, why is the population of this city so low? I highly doubt that a few million women are all of the beauty’s in Heaven. The city is huge, surely they could fit the rest of the females in Heaven, right?

Celia: “Hey, God. Why doesn’t Garentia take everyone in Heaven and bring them to this city?” I ask with a curious tone.

God: “Do you realize how hard it would be to organize quintillions of souls? Garentia is a Creator, but she isn’t fit for the job. Though, I’ll admit that she has done a pretty good job so far.” She said with a thinking pose.

Celia: “Meaning?” I urge her to continue.

God: “She probably wants to bring all the women here to her city, but it just isn’t possible. At least, not in the short term. Garentia’s main goal at the moment is stabilizing this city. Once it is stable, then she will probably build more cities.” She explained.

Celia: “So it’s a logistical problem? That is kinda funny…” I say with a giggle.

From the short time that I’ve known Garentia, I know that she is a pretty good person. It must make her upset that she can’t get every person into a safe place to live. Judging from the research I did, only ten or so women get shipped here every so often from that shitty outside desert.

God: “Yeah, kinda? No, really, Celia. When will you get her to help you? We need to find that damn crystal, so we can go back in time and stop her past self from taking over Heaven.” She said with a serious expression.

Celia: “Eventually, I will convince her. But for now, I just want to spend time with my wife. Is that too much to ask for?” I reply with a pout.

God: “…”

Celia: “?”

God: “Do as you please. I will just be a third wheel the entire time…” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “Third wheel? But no one even knows that you’re here. Aren’t you more of a quintillionth wheel?” I say with a smug tone.

God: “You little… you!…How do you even have so many wives? Such a damn cheeky girl…” She said with a very annoyed groan.

With the God teased, it was time for me to start my day. Wait… where the heck is Garentia? Did she leave to go to work without me? Or did she not come home last night? Usually, she is the one to wake me up with a maid in tow. Did I get dumped?…
