Chapter 34 New House.
(*Celia’s POV*)
I can only assume that Garentia used some sleeping magic on me, which I don’t mind. I was tired, anyway. I sat up in my bed and did a very satisfied yawn. It’s been a while since I’ve slept this good. Ah, I miss Ria… My living sleep medicine giver…
Garentia: “Celia, you’re awake.” She said with a happy smile.
Celia: “Garentia?” I reply with a head tilt.
Looking out the open window, it seemed that the sun was in the process of going down. From inside the city, you couldn’t tell that the outside world is just a wasted desert. Did I sleep a long time?
Celia: “How long did I sleep for?” I ask with a curious tone.
Garentia: “A little over a month… I just used sleeping magic on you, since you seemed very tired. I’m sorry, I didn’t expect it to have this kind of effect.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “Huh? Ah, I doubt that it is your fault.” I reply.
Garentia: “Why?” She asked with a head tilt. Cute!
Celia: “I am a Supreme Goddess. My kind tends to sleep a lot, so don’t worry about it.” I answer with a giggle.
God, if you have no desire to interfere with this situation, could you please stop giving me reactions and facial expressions? Really, sure, just be invisible to everyone else besides me, I will just handle it. Heh, cheeky God is too afraid to appear, due to the fact that she doesn’t even have half of her original power. How funny.
Garentia: “Ah, I see. Now it makes sense why you’ve slept so long. Your kind is somewhat rare, considering how hard it is to actually kill them.” She said with a smile.
Shit! I forgot that my kind is immortal! Though, she shouldn’t realize that I am living. Amelie almost died too, even though she was immortal. So they are things in existence that can kill an immortal. I am safe!
Celia: “Yeah, I am sorry for making you worry.” I reply.
Garentia: “I am still partially responsible, as I used sleeping magic on you. Regardless, I have given you an ID and a smartphone as well.” She explained.
Once she said that, I realized that I had something around my neck. I said that they were collars, but they’re more like choker necklaces. It was a purple color, which is weird considering that everyone else I saw was wearing black…
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Celia: “Why is it purple?” I ask with a curious tone.
Garentia: “Hm… You will know, in time. Rather, if you’re interested, you can just look it up on your phone.” She replied.
Celia: “Ah, I see.” I reply.
After I said that, she got up from the chair that she was sitting on and went to leave the room. I felt like I should stop her, so I did just that.
Celia: “Where are you going?” I ask.
Garentia: “…Back to work.” She answered.
Celia: “So late?” I reply.
Garentia: “Just for a few hours, and then I will be back.” She said with a reassuring tone.
Celia: “Can I come with you?” I ask with a nervous tone.
Garentia: “…Okay.” She replied with a faint smile.
Celia: “Great!” I say with a happy smile.
It seemed that she was about to ask some of the maids to help me clean and get dressed, but I just used cleaning magic and put on a dress from my inventory.
Garentia: “…”
Celia: “I didn’t want to make you wait.” I reply with a slightly embarrassed expression.
Garentia: “I see…” She replied before turning away.
As she opened the door, I followed close behind her. Like an overly familiar childhood friend, I kept close to her. Even after resting, I still feel the need to treat her right, and I oddly love being with her.
I am not a shallow person, so this isn’t because I am lonely and miss my wives. Despite what Garentia has done, I feel like she will hopefully be my fourth wife. Rather or not that she will accept that, I have no idea…
I wordlessly followed her, and we left the house. Outside was a car, and she went to the other side of it. Not the driver side, I mean. I assumed that she was going to have a maid drive us, so I went to the opposite passenger side.
Garentia: “…Do you not want to sit in the front with me?” She asked with a slightly hurt tone.
Celia: “Huh? I do! I just got confused, sorry.” I quickly reply and go to her side.
With a smile, she opened the door for me, and I got into the car. Garentia walked back to the driver’s side and got in as well. With her car key, she started the car and backed out of her driveway. We sat in silence for a decent while.
Garentia: “Sorry… Most of the things in Heaven are just from what I remember. I don’t know how cars receive radio music, but you can still use your smartphone to play anything you want.” She said with an embarrassed tone.
Celia: “Okay.” I reply.
Looking at the console of the car, I saw a charger cord. I plugged my phone in, and it was lucky that a music app from already installed. Even more lucky, is that Heaven still steals their entertainment from other dimensions, so I played songs that I knew.
Fucking fuck! I just realized that I am a complete and utter pushover!!! Frankly, wasn’t the only time that I said no to someone, was when God asked me to save Heaven again? Of course, not agreeing would have been the bad idea, and that just so happened to be the one request that I’ve refused…
I won’t change how I act around my family, but I have to be more willing to say no in the future. Of course, I oddly already see Garentia as my family. It’s fate, right? Add another Ai to the group. Nia, Lia, Ria, and now Tia. How funny…
Garentia: “What are you smiling about?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “I am thinking about marrying you.” I reply with a nonchalant tone.
Garentia: “…”
She almost slammed on the breaks from my comment. Fuck! I can’t believe that I just straight up blurted that out!!… Why do I feel like after my evolution, I am more intelligent, yet somehow more stupid and far more open? Yeah, God, do a facepalm, I feel the same. Garentia faked a cough and continued driving. I didn’t just make it awkward between us, right?…
