Chapter 82: Convince her to Give up.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Clarisa: “Celia! It’s been so long!” She said with a happy tone.
Before continuing the conversation, Clarisa took me to her private tent. Inside, it was practically the same as Yona’s. The only difference was that it was still cold inside this tent. Ah, so they haven’t discovered heating tech like Yona? How sad…
Celia: “It has been a while… I am sorry that I haven’t come to visit you all.” I reply with a smile.
Clarisa: “Where did you even go all this time?” She asked with a curious tone, after we both sat down on her couch.
Celia: “Is the room private?” I ask.
Clarisa: “…Now it is.” She said, snapping her fingers.
I felt some mana leak out from her, so I think that she put a barrier up. That’s good. Now we can chat without worrying about who is listening in on us.
Celia: “Alright, thanks. Now then, where should I begin…” I say with an unsure tone.
Clarisa: “Just start wherever you want, Celia.” She replied with a laugh.
Celia: “So… do you remember Yona?” I ask.
Explaining what happened to Clarisa went smoothly, but knowing that I will have to repeat this explanation to Victoria and Selen, is a little annoying… Will I turn into a repeater machine?…
Clarisa: “You want us to surrender?” She asked.
Celia: “Yes, but not really?” I reply.
Clarisa: “What do you mean?” She replied.
Celia: “Well, it’s like this. Once Yona realizes that she is my mother, she will not stay in this dimension. Once she is gone, then you three can claim this land.” I answer.
Clarisa: “…”
Celia: “…”
Clarisa: “So… we just have to back off for now, and then come back later?” She assumed.
Celia: “Yup.” I reply with a nod.
Clarisa was lost in thought, and I let her continue her thoughts in peace. After all, a cute maid brought in some tea and sweets. How could I resist such fun and tasty things? I cannot. I will never deny myself of what I like anymore. Yes. I’ve killed and will continue to kill various things.
But at the end of the day, I am just a sensitive young lady, who is good at putting up a front. After saving all my family members, I must demand for them to pamper me like the special little princess that I am!!! Huh?… When did Victoria and Selen show up?… They were already in the tent, but invisible? What about that damn blocking magic!? Ah, I feel somewhat scammed…
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Clarisa: “Finally! Though… it was far easier to stall her until you two got here than I thought that it would be.” She said with a relieved tone.
Victoria was holding me from behind, blocking the movement of my arms. Meanwhile, Selen was powering up some kind of spell. What the fuck?… Do they not care about me anymore?…
Creator: “They care about you, Celia. Don’t worry.” She said with a reassuring tone in my head.
Celia: “Then… why are they doing this?” I ask with a confused tone.
Creator: “They think that you’re being controlled by Yona. Just sit still and be a good girl. They will realize that you’re doing this of your own freewill soon.” She explained.
Celia: “…”
Creator: “What’s wrong?” She asked.
Celia: “For some reason, I felt really good when you called me a good girl… If it was anyone else, I would probably want them dead. But I don’t feel upset when you say it…” I answer with a confused tone.
Creator: “…You…you will understand in the future, Celia. For now, you will just have to go without the answer for a while.” She replied with a sigh.
Since they were just checking on me, I decided to completely relax my body. And you know, even after all this time, I do still trust them with my life. They did take care of me for 4 years while I was in a coma, after all.
Selen: “Celia isn’t being controlled.” She said with a surprised expression.
Victoria: “Are you sure?” She asked.
Clarisa: “Hey, I was already sure of this, but you two just had to come and confirm it.” She said with a groan.
Celia: “Yes, yes. I was staying with Yona of my own freewill. Yona is my mother, you know. The main reason why I came to this dimension in the first place.” I say with a sigh.
Victoria: “If you were staying of your own freewill, then why did you never visit us?” She asked.
Celia: “I couldn’t. I was there of my own will, but Yona never let me go outside of the castle. Of course, I could have left easily, but Yona is my goal in this world.” I answer.
Victoria: “…”
Celia: “Though I am sorry that I never visited you three. I was planning on doing so before leaving. Ah, that includes Penni as well.” I say with a remorseful tone.
Rather than be angry with me, they all gave me tight hugs. Clarisa… you’ve already given me a hug, girl…
Selen: “Are your words true, Celia?” She asked after releasing me from her hug.
Celia: “Yeah. Yona already controls a continent far bigger than this, so I highly doubt that she will decide to stay in this place.” I reply with a confident tone.
Clarisa: “And why haven’t you left yet?” She asked.
Celia: “I’ve been waiting for Yona to let me tell her the truth about why I came to this dimension.” I answer.
Victoria: “She doesn’t know yet?” She said with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “Nope. Though, the reward for ending this war within a month is her listening to the answer.” I reply.
Selen: “And what if you fail?” She asked with a serious tone.
Celia: “Then she said that she would have you three killed. You haven’t checked out her Status, but trust me when I tell you that Yona is far more powerful than you three combined.” I reply with a sigh.
Selen: “…”
Victoria: “…”
Clarisa: “…”
Celia: “?”
Victoria: “…Fine. We will halt the war for now. Please go to tell Yona that we will leave.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Right. Although the people of Yona’s military are very honorable, I’ll make sure to ask Yona to not let any of them shoot you all in the back.” I reply.
Selen: “Celia, please come see us before you leave.” She said with a smile.
I agreed, showing a bright smile of my own. It has been a few years, so it is nice to know that they still care about me. I talked with them a bit more, and then teleported to Yona’s side. I informed her of what happened, to which she nodded, like this was just the expected outcome.
Yona: “Then… I guess it is time that we have a chat, right? Let us head back to the castle first.” She said with a nervous tone.
She took my hand and led me outside the tent. We then got back onto her horse and left for the castle. It was silent the entire trip back, but it wasn’t the normal kind of silence between us. I just hope that Yona will take this information well…
