Chapter 90 Demon War.
(June’s POV*)
Once Celia and Ria left us, my kingdom was very peaceful. I tried for almost my entire life to overthrow my mother, but those two achieved it in only a small period of time… Not that I mind. As now that I am the Queen, things are much better for me and my people.
Stupidly, maybe out of some weird grudge I had for them finishing my work for me, I refused to take an item from them that would allow me to contact them. That is, as long as they’re on this continent. Only now, as a deadly threat looms over my kingdom, do I regret my selfish action…
Knight: “My Queen! An army of at least a hundred thousand demons is marching toward us as we speak! From our spies, they fly the flag of Imbril!” She said with a serious tone.
June: “…”
Imbril!? But they haven’t made any moves for a very long time… With April gone, maybe they thought that this was the best time to invade… They aren’t wrong to think that… Our protector, Miracle, can’t help us anymore either…
What the hell am I supposed to do against an entire demon army?… Imbril is ruled by their king, Imbril. Yeah, he really did name his kingdom after himself. Cleary, he is an asshole. Which isn’t surprising, considering that he and his people were beings that somehow escaped from Hell.
Miracle: “What even is the point of taking this kingdom over? If Celia and Ria don’t make it here in time, they will most likely take revenge for us, anyway.” She said with a sigh.
June: “Yeah, but they don’t know that we have stupidly overpowered beings on our side. If they did, they wouldn’t have decided to invade us.” I reply with a thinking pose.
Miracle: “This goes without saying, but I cannot help you at all.” She said with a remorseful tone.
June: “I’m aware of that… I just wish that we had more time to prepare. Our military still hasn’t been rebuilt yet…” I reply with a sigh.
Honestly, our only hope that is Ria and Celia eventually come to our rescue. Until then, I have to sacrifice my soldiers just to hold the demons back for a while… With no better plans, that is exactly what I ordered them to carry out.
*Days Later.*
The plan worked somewhat. Warm bodies seemed to be a good defense against the demons. As ruthless as they were, they weren’t invincible. Though, it took the lives of at least five of our soldiers just to kill one of the demons. No wonder they’re from Hell…

Frankly, I do have hope that Celia will soon show up to help us. Celia did tell me the story of when she was trapped in Hell, and how she survived it. Which means that she would be able to fight off this army with ease. Our time might be out, though…
Knight: “My Queen, we only have fifty thousand soldiers remaining. At most, we can hold them off for another week before they reach our kingdom.” She said with a serious tone.
June: “Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Please order them to hold the line as long as possible.” I order.
Knight: “Yes, my queen!” She said with a bow before running out of my audience chamber.
Miracle: “You know, Ria might not even be able to help us. Celia would be, but I wouldn’t bet on Ria. She is a Goddess as well, after all.” She said with a thinking pose.
June: “Celia has been to Hell before, so she should be enough if that is the case.” I reply.
Miracle: “She went to Hell!? I have to see this…” She said before closing her eyes.
Oh… she decided to dip from the conversation, just so she could go look in the past? Am I not interesting to her? Holy shit… Do I have a crush on Miracle!? This isn’t the time to be worrying about crushes…
Miracle: “Wow… no wonder Ria married Celia… If I was an asshole, I would try to get with her myself.” She replied with a giggle.
June: “…”
Miracle: “What’s wrong, June? Your face is all red… Ah, I will just look into the future for the answer.” She asked.
June: “No, don’t!” I say with a hurried tone.
Miracle: “Wow…” She said with a shocked tone.
Oh, come on… That is exactly how you reacted to peeping at Celia’s past! Great… now Miracle knows that I have a thing for her. Is our relationship ruined now? I am sure that Miracle would be fine with a fling, but I stupidly want to marry the crazy woman…
Miracle: “Don’t worry, Celia and Ria will be here to save this kingdom soon. As for me, I have some things that I need to get in order.” She said before getting up from her seat.
June: “Where are you going?” I ask with a curious tone.
Miracle: “There are things that I’ve put off for a long time, and I need to get them done before we settle down.” She replied.
June: “Settled down? What do you mean?” I ask with a confused tone.
Miracle: “In the future, I saw that we were together for thousands of years. I have never gone steady with a woman before, so I want to start our relationship off properly.” She answered with a smile.
June: “But… wait. I don’t even know if I truly love you… We haven’t even known each other for that long…” I reply with an unsure tone.
Miracle: “Unlike Ria with Celia, I don’t want to rush things, June. Once I get back, then we can start to build up our relationship. That is, if you would have me.” She asked while handing my hands.
June: “I… I need some time think, Miracle.” I replied with a red face.
Miracle: “Perfect. I should be gone for a year or two, so you will have plenty of time to figure out your feelings. Please thank Celia and Ria on my behalf when they come to save this kingdom.” She replied with a smile before vanishing.
June: “…”
Where did she even go? What kind of business does she need to tend to that will take Miracle years to deal with? Ah, so many questions… And this isn’t the time to figure them out, either. Celia will come to my rescue, but I still have to rule my kingdom until then. Please, Celia and Ria, show up soon…
