Chapter 78: She Owes me for This!
(Nia’s POV)
She went to save Lia first before me? That bitch! Sure, I understand that it was the best move, as Lia was suffering more than me. For me, I was just resting in a modern dimension…
Funny that Lia gets trapped in hell, while I get to just relax. It should have been the other way around, truly… At least for me, I can look into my own future. Which means I know that Ria will come to release me from her prison soon.
Stupidly, apart from being rescued, I couldn’t look further into the future. Which pisses me off so damn much! How the hell am I supposed to be happy about being released when Celia is an unknown variable!?
Secretary: “Miss, you have no other appointments today. Why don’t you go home early?” She suggested.
Nia: “I have a need to find a replacement for me, you see.” I answer.
Secretary: “A replacement!? But…” I cut her words off.
Nia: “Have I kept you in the dark? You’re surely aware that I am trapped in this dimension.” I reply with a scoff.
Secretary: “…”
Nia: “The woman who trapped me here, Ria, will be coming to release me soon. I would much rather leave this dimension and go back to my family. Not to mention, but I built up this empire just for fun.” I reply with a shrug.
Secretary: “You’re such a good businesswoman, though…” She said with a sigh.
Nia: “That would be wrong, Mei.” I deny.
Mei: “How so? You’re currently the richest woman in the entire world.” She replied.
Nia: “Silly girl, I cheated. Did you expect a higher being like me to play fair with a bunch of mortals?” I answer with a laugh.
Mei: “…”
If I had cared about it greatly, I wouldn’t have cheated. But this entire business empire of mine was created just to stave off my boredom. Ria, probably now that she was going to release us, had removed the restriction of my future seeing.
That woman who disguised herself as the “Creator” was so damn crafty. To think that she would lie about being such a high power, and tricking us into thinking that our future sight was greatly diminished… Instead, it was simply that Ria was restricting our future seeing abilities. That being Zia and me, I mean.
Nia: “How did you cheat?” I say for no “reason” at all.
Mei: “How did you cheat?” She asked with a curious tone.
Nia: “…”
Mei: “…”
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
Nia: “Interesting, right? I can see into the future, so I was able to cheat like that.” I explain.
After entering this dimension, I could look into the future of anyone, and myself. The problem was anything outside of this dimension. Ria had prevented me from seeing things like that. But what I could do was more than to help me cheat the system.
Mei: “Miss… I am willing to sell my soul to get such a power.” She said, starting to strip her clothes.
Nia: “Unfortunately, I am a married woman, Mei.” I deny, using magic to pull her suit back together.
Mei: “…”
Nia: “Upset?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Mei: “You never said that you were married…” She said with a sigh.
Nia: “And yet I never did anything sexual with anyone in this dimension. Such a question did come up from time to time, and I answered that I was married. You just have never asked me such a question before.” I reply with a giggle.
Mei: “…”
Nia: “apologies for giving you false hope, dear. How about I make you an offer?” I suggest.
Mei: “An offer? A deal from a higher being, huh… What could it be, I wonder?” She replied.
Nia: “Pledge yourself to me, and I will give you the power to rule over this dimension.” I propose.
Mei: “…”
Oh? You would think that she’d accept right away. After all, Mei was that type of person. The kind that was more than willing to do anything to get ahead. Which was why she tried to strip for me, funnily enough.
Mei: “You just said that you were married…” She said with a confused expression.
Nia: “I don’t mean your body, silly girl. I want you to become a follower of mine. Specifically, I am a Goddess, and my domain is Death. I want you to reap the souls that couldn’t pass on to Heaven or Hell.” I explain.
Mei: “You want to make me a grim reaper!?” She exclaimed.
Nia: “It’s similar to that, yes. As a benefit, you will be able to see into the future. Once you do become a follower of me, I will give you control over my business empire.” I reply.
Mei: “I accept!” She said with a serious tone.
Nia: “Not so fast, you need to do something first.” I reply.
Mei: “What is it?” She asked.
Nia: “Do you see this woman here?” I reply, taking a photo and document out of my desk.
Mei: “Is there something special about her?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Nia: “Her address is on the paper, go and seduce her.” I order.
Mei: “…”
Nia: “Don’t give me that look. She isn’t my sworn enemy, or anything like that. Instead, she is your soulmate. To become a follower of mine is to become immortal, similar to me. To maintain your sanity, you need a wife to live alongside of.” I explain.
Mei: “…I know that I just offered my body to you, but I am not a lesbian.” She admitted.
Nia: “And how do you know that? You’re a virgin!” I reply with a laugh.
Mei: “…”
Nia: “Revelations on your sexuality aside, that woman is your soulmate. That means that, yes, you’re a lesbian. Even if you do not realize it.” I added.
Mei: “I don’t think that meeting someone for the first time, with the sole intent of seducing them, is a good idea.” She said with a sigh.
Nia: “I have already explained everything to her. Besides, if you two don’t end up together, then that is fate. But I am certain that you’ll fall in love with each other. Trust me on this.” I reply with a confident tone.
Mei: “…”
With her new task, Mei left my office. With how long of an elevator ride that she will have to go on, Mei will have a lot of time to think over my words. Now, shall we go, Ria? Ria… Ria?…
Nia: “Why aren’t you replying!?” I exclaim in anger.
Ria: “You didn’t say anything…” She answered.
Nia: “…What? Not going to listen in on people’s thoughts anymore?” I assume.
Ria: “That’s correct.” She replied with a nod.
Nia: “…Celia is such an amazing woman, isn’t she? How long did it take for her to fix you?” I ask with a curious tone.
Ria: “Not long at all. Now, do you wish to leave?” She asked in reply.
Nia: “Not yet. You’ve seen my promise to Mei, right? She’s a good girl, and probably the only one who could properly control this world.” I deny.
Ria: “Give me your vow, and I will have one of my maids make Mei a follower of yours once she is ready.” She proposed.
Nia: “…”
Handing her a piece of my soul dagger, I soon left that dimension with Ria. Upon entering Heaven, I was met with my loving family once more. Ah, how nice it is to see them again. But, one thing that they clearly all think themselves as well is, “I wish that Celia was here.” or some variation on that. And I am in the same boat…
