Chapter 71: Was I Really Kidnapped by my own Mother?
(*Celia’s POV*)
Ugh… what the hell happened? Where am I? Why do I sound like a protagonist in an isekai novel? Eh, whatever it takes for me to cope with the situation, I guess.
But seriously, where the fuck am I? The last thing that I remember was being stopped by Yona. Damn… does that mean that army was left to rage as they want? Hopefully, Victoria and those other two made it back to the city in time.
Looking around the room, it was very nice. Oddly… too nice? The room was almost filled with magical tech. In that city, the most advanced thing was the system for the lights. But this place has odd stuff in it.
It was a nice place, clearly somewhere where you’d want to keep a captive. Of course, a captive that you cherish. Make no mistake, this was a prison. The chain on my leg more than proved that.
The chain connected to the wall, but there was a lot of slack in it. Not to mention, the clasp on my leg was very nice. It was made from some kind of squishy material. Part of the chain was the same material.
This situation was like I was a captured bride, or something. The design of the chain was clearly done so that I could sleep without getting hurt or feeling any discomfort from the chain. And the room was similar in that regard.
There was a huge bookshelf filled with various interesting looking books in it. There were board games as well. Of course, nothing from a modern world. Just because it is a fantasy world, doesn’t mean people don’t want to play board games.
In addition to the card and board games, there were primitive digital games. Like, those old handheld consoles from the 90s, expect clearly with a fantasy and magic twist. Apart from those, who would I even play those games that require more than one person to play?
Celia: “Shit…” I curse.
I’ve been delaying my realization, but it is clearly Yona who kidnapped me. After having it happen so many times, I know that look that she gave me a few days ago. Yona kidnapping me wasn’t that surprising to me at all. Such is a curse of being a beautiful woman…
Rather than if she was going to kidnap me, it was only really when she would do so. Funnily enough, I have a feeling that she wasn’t going to kidnap me just yet. After all, I was in a good position after dealing with those skeletons for her to take me.
Instead, she didn’t. But with me stupidly rushing headfirst into an army, I must have forced her hand. Which is why she had kidnapped me so damn early. Ah, should I be happy that I managed to seduce my own mother, or just absolutely ashamed?…
Mar: “Lady Celia, it is good to see you awake. I am Mar, the head maid.” She said with a bow, after entering the room.
Celia: “Can I leave?” I ask.
This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Mar: “No.” She replied.
Celia: “Why not?” I ask with a head tilt.
Mar: “Demon Lordess, Yona, wishes to marry you, Lady Celia.” She answered.
Celia: “Yona’s a Demon Lordess?” I reply with a confused expression.
Mar: “…Ah… It seems that I will be punished later.” She said with a sigh.
So… I was tricked this entire time? Yona wasn’t a human, nor a demon and a human mix. Instead, she was a Demon Lordess. What fun… Shit. That random necromancer must have been one of Yona’s people… I almost wished that I took the risk to peep at Yona’s Status.
Celia: “If you’re going to be punished, why not escape with me?” I propose.
Mar: “That is very funny, Lady Celia… But I prefer my head to remain attached to my body.” She denied.
Celia: “Sad…” I reply.
Mar: “Are you hungry?” She asked.
Celia: “No. I am Celia.” I reply with a joking tone.
Mar: “…You’re very calm, Lady Celia. Aren’t you afraid of Demon Lordess, Yona?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “Why should I be afraid of her?” I reply with an innocent tone and expression.
Mar looked to be extremely confused. Ah, yes. Give me more reactions! I still love seeing women do various reactions to my random antics. Besides, I highly doubt that Yona plans to hurt me at all. I just have to convince her of her true importance to my life.
Mar: “Lady Celia… My Lordess has kidnapped you and locked you away in this room. How could you be so calm, even cracking jokes?” She asked.
Celia: “Yona only did this to prevent me from getting killed. I forced her hand by trying to do something crazy. To keep me safe, she would rather expose her true identity, and then even kidnap me.” I reply.
Mar: “…”
Celia: “Don’t you think that it is interesting to be loved by such a powerful and beautiful woman to this extent? I might not have any feelings for her, but Yona, oddly, she seems to love me. Since she does, why would I ever be afraid of her?” I say with a smug tone.
Mar: “Then why did you mention running away?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “It was a joke.” I reply with a shrug.
Mar: “…”
Celia: “Yona isn’t the kind of person that you could run away from. She is mostly aware of my capabilities. Is this even the same continent? I’ve never heard a peep about a Demon Lordess.” I ask.
Mar: “That… this isn’t the same continent that you know of.” She answered.
Celia: “As I thought. If I can escape this room, can I escape the castle? If I escape the castle, can I escape whatever city it is housed in? If I escape the city, can I even escape the continent?” I ask, not needing an answer.
Mar: “…”
Celia: “The answer is mostly a “No.” for all of those questions. If so, trying to escape from my darling and beautiful captor would just be a futile effort. Why would I bother to waste my time like that?” I ask with a laugh.
Yona won’t hurt me, that much I know for a fact. And I doubt that I could escape from anything of this place. As such, spending my time trying to do so wouldn’t be very productive at all. I would rather try to get stronger, or just relax.
Mar: “Heh…” She said with a laugh.
Celia: “What’s funny?” I ask.
Mar: “I can see why my Mistress is so taken with you. You’re young, but very smart. Not to mention cheeky and confident. Where do you even get the idea that she won’t hurt you? She lied about her identity. And she is a very ruthless person.” She replied.
Celia: “Your words are slightly wrong.” I reply.
Mar: “Oh? Where did I misspeak?” She asked.
Celia: “Both Yona and I are very ruthless to our enemies. Yona would never hurt me, that I am sure of. As for her lying, was it really a lie? I never asked her anything about her true identity. And it’s not like I don’t have secrets of my own.” I answer with a proud tone.
The woman then began to laugh uncontrollably. Again… why do I make cute girls laugh so much? Is this a latent, hidden talent of mine? I don’t want this power!!! I lied. I super enjoy it.
Mar: “Lady Celia, I will have food brought to you soon.” She said with a bow before leaving the room.
Food, huh? I hope that those novels all lied to me… Surely, the food that will be prepared for me will be normal, right?…
