Chapter 82: She Isn’t Here…

(Celia’s POV)

Upon reaching Lem, I was very shocked. The capital seemed to be in flames, and didn’t look good at all. Was there a civil war happening right now? I have to find Atlas quickly!

Reaching her throne room, I found no sight of the cute wolf girl. Then, I went to her bedroom, but Atlas wasn’t there either. Where the hell…

Luckily, I could sense she was still her first race, I could still detect her divinity. The problem… was that Atlas wasn’t within this kingdom any more. Who the hell took her?

Maid: “Who!?” She exclaimed.

Celia: “Who took Atlas?” I ask with a serious tone.

Maid: “…Clan Fren.” She answered.

Celia: “And they are?” I reply.

Maid: “Prior to her parents’ generation, the Fren clan was the royal family. But Atlas’s father conquered Lem, and made the Fren clan be outcasts, banned from most of the country.” She explained.

Letting the woman go, I left Atlas’s castle. Even if she didn’t evolve, Atlas should be level 100 right now. Which means that… the one who kidnapped her, must be somewhat powerful.

Flying above the capital city, I was stopped dead in my tracks. Flying around me, were around fifty beast people. If they can fly… they must be at least Enhanced Beast People.

Looking at the strongest one, my guess was correct as can be. Now I understood why Atlas had gotten kidnapped. There is no way for a level 100 hundred to fight off people this much more powerful…

Kerm: “Do you wish to save the young brat of a queen?” He asked with a scoff.

Celia: “Wish to? No, that would be foolish. Wishing isn’t needed in this situation, as I can just save her with ease.” I reply with my arms crossed.

Kerm: “So confident… But, how can you even know where she is located? You do seem strong, but it won’t matter if you managed to beat us down. We will not betray our clan!” He exclaimed.

Cheers!

The other beast people, who were surrounding me, all cheered at his words. Damn… I will admit that this dude was good at giving speeches. Or, at least, Kerm was decent at saying what his people want to him from him.

Celia: “Why don’t you just step aside?” I suggest.

Kerm: “What? Do you not trust that your strength is enough to deal with us? That’s very good! We will distract you until the cub is long dead!” He said with an excited tone, drawing his sword.

Celia: “Dead? From what I can tell… she seems to be very much alive right now.” I reply with a head tilt.

Kerm: “She won’t be for long, that I swear…” His words stopped there.

To not shower the innocent citizens of the capital city, with a blood shower, I quickly used cleaning magic. The fifty beast people were turned to a red mist, and I then went on my way to where I was detecting Atlas at.
