Chapter 74: Let us Explore!

(*Celia’s POV*)

Mar: “Where do you want to go first, Lady Celia?” She asked after Yona left the room.

Celia: “Isn’t that obvious?” I reply.

Mar: “You want to figure out someway to escape this place, right?” She assumed with a smug tone.

Celia: “Do my words mean nothing to the people here? I want to take a bath!” I say with a pout.

Mar: “A bath?… Sure, we will show you to it right away, Lady Celia.” She said with a bow.

The walk to the bath was decently nice. This castle was very advanced. Rather than a castle in a fantasy world, it was like an old castle that a modern day rich person decided to buy and live. Not even caring about the history, either. Making it modern.

Mar: “Please do not be afraid, Lady Celia. We know that this castle is odd.” She said with a reassuring tone.

Celia: “Odd? This castle is pretty nice, what do you mean?” I reply with a head tilt.

Mar: “…”

Ah, no wait… I get it now. If you took some random villager from their village and placed them in this castle, they would think that they had gone to a completely different world. It would be alien to them. But to me, it was just an almost modern house.

Mar: “Are your words the truth, Lady Celia?” She asked.

Celia: “Yeah. This castle is very similar to houses in my last life. Most houses tended to look like this there. Though, none of them looked like castles, mind you.” I reply.

Mar: “Past life?” She said with a shocked tone.

Celia: “Do you think that a random little girl could be so strong and intelligent? Of course I am a reincarnater!” I say with a proud tone.

Mar: “…”

Celia: “Do you hear that, Yona? I have many secrets as well! If you can capture my heart, I might be willing to tell you about them.” I say, looking into Mar’s eyes.

Mar: “…”

That’s right! The look on Mar’s face proves my theory! Yona has been watching me this entire time, but through the eyes of Mar. Which is why she didn’t come to see how I was doing. She didn’t need to. Yona had a front-row seat, after all.

Mar: “It seems that both Mistress and I have underestimated your intelligence, Lady Celia.” She said with a defeated sigh.

Celia: “That’s what I’ve been trying to express. It’s like you all somehow don’t realize that I am staying here of my own free will. I can easily think of a hundred different ways to escape this castle. And escaping the continent is within my capabilities as well.” I say with a proud tone.

Judging from her new interesting expression, Yona must be able to speak to Mar through their minds. And Yona expressed that I was telling the truth. It’s not like it is *impossible* to escape from this castle. I just didn’t bother to do so. Yona is my mother, after all.

In silence, the maids continued to guide me to the bath. Only now do I realize how much trouble it would have been to escape. But it would still be possible. For four floors, each one was made just to keep whoever Yona decided to capture, still within the castle.

Celia: “Look… My child body has limits, my soul is damaged. How many more flights of stairs do we need to go down? And why is each flight on opposites sides of each floor!?” I yell in annoyance.

Mar: “There is another option, but most people find it too terrifying to use. As such, only the residents of this castle use it.” She replied.

Celia: “Take me to it! If not, then I will request for one of you to break a window, and fly me down to a floor with a bath… It has been literally over an hour of just walking…” I demand.

Turning around, we went back up the stairs. This was the best move, as we didn’t go down this flight very far at all. After walking for a few minutes, we came across a single corridor. Inside was… it was a fucking elevator!

Rushing up to it, I pushed the button to call the elevator. The maids were shocked to see me able to use it. After all, this thing is literally a piece of modern tech. How would someone from this world know how to use it? A few minutes later, the elevator arrived.

Celia: “Which floor is the bath on?” I ask.

Mar: “Mistresses bath is on the first floor, Lady Celia. We will go to the eighth floor bath.” She said, before trying to push the button.

Celia: “First floor it is, then!” I exclaim before pushing the first floor button before Mar could push the other one.

Mar: “…”

Celia: “…”

Maids: “…”

Okay, I guess that I was too excited… The elevator is modern, but the speed isn’t at all. It legit took three minutes to go from floor to floor. Which would be fine, but we were on the 35th floor before getting on the elevator… That doesn’t sound like a long time, but modern elevators only take a second to go from one floor to the next…

Celia: “You know, in a modern world, there is a music playing in these machines. Ah, I don’t know what you all call them, be we call them elevators.” I say with a sigh.

Mar: “This is an invention made by Mistress, and it doesn’t have a name. And do you mean to say that each one of these, “elevators” had someone playing music for you in them? Are elevators bigger in your original world?” She asked with a curious tone.

Yona invented this? That settles it, then. That Creator woman was very bad at removing Yona’s memories. If she did do a good job, then why was Yona able to remember stuff from my dungeon? This place was practically a mini version of my dungeon at that time, all hidden by, what I assume, is a normal-looking castle on the outside.

Celia: “No, no. That would be crazy, even for a rich person. The music that played was prerecorded, and just played back.” I reply.

Mar: “I see…” She said with a relieved tone.

Did she expect me to ask her and the maids to play a song for me? Well, I guess that I haven’t done a good job of appearing to be humble. I do plan to storm into Yona’s private bath, after all. They must think that I am a spoiled girl…

After a very long elevator trip, we ended up on the first floor of the castle. Guided by the maids once more, I finally made it to the bath that I’ve been waiting for. It was so grand! Ah, I almost wish that I could live in this bath…
