Chapter 41: Where is my Mind… I Mean, Daughter!?
(Celia’s POV)
Fin informed me that this camp was actually their main one, where even their ruler, Alisa, lived. That just makes me curious about the other camps… Are they all like this? The world (me) may never know…
Fin: “I have brought Celia here to meet our Mistress.” She said to the guards.
Currently, we were outside of a large, modern mansion. It really sticks out in the middle of this city, to the point where I can only assume that Alisa used some magic to move this place here.
The guards opened up the door, and we went inside of the mansion. Inside, Fin led me to what looked like a throne room. A throne in a modern mansion? Have I raised my daughter wrong?…
Fin: “Where is Mistress?” She asked.
Maid: “Mistress left to go replenish the volcanic area of Mana Crystals. It would seem that someone killed too many monsters, leading to the area now being empty.” She explained.
Fin: “…”
Celia: “…”
Don’t give me that look! You were the one who sent me to my death, not realizing that I was just an overpowered girl, who just so happens to do crazy things all the damn time! Wow… that might be the longest excuse I’ve ever used before…
Leaving the mansion, Fin rubbed her head in annoyance. It is kinda funny that we just happened to miss Alisa on our way here. Maybe we should have just stayed in that area until Fin woke up?
Fin: “It will take at least a day for Mistress to replenish that area.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Ah, so we should go meet her?” I suggest.
Fin: “We? Forgive me if I am wrong, but you can go way faster than me, right?” She replied.
Celia: “I can. The only reason your attacks landed on me was because I let them.” I answer.
Fin: “…That’s annoying… Anyway, you should go find her in that volcanic area.” She suggested.
Celia: “Alright.” I agree.
Fin: “Take this… Wait… what happened to your wife?” She said, handing me some kind of badge before stopping her words.
Ria was once again invisible to anyone besides me. Another trick, dear? Her nod at my unspoken question confirmed this as such. How fun!
Celia: “Huh? Wife? What are you talking about?” I reply with a confused expression.
Fin: “…Sorry. I seem to be remembering things that didn’t happen.” She said with an embarrassed tone.
Celia: “It’s fine. Our fight must have been too taxing on your body. Please get some rest.” I say with a concerned tone.
Fin: “I will, thanks. That badge will allow you to see through the illusion magic and get past the barriers of our camps.” She explained before walking off, looking quite confused.
With the badge and my escort no longer up to the task, I soon left the camp once more. With my destination being that damn hot area, where my daughter will probably be located at. Huh… now I kinda feel bad about what we did…

Ria: “I’ll make her a Goddess as an apology before we leave this dimension.” She said with a laugh.
Celia: “Do you just have the ability to bypass those exams and test?” I ask with a curious tone.
Ria: “She’ll still have to take them, don’t worry. I am just getting her foot in the door.” She denied.
Celia: “How nice of you. Please don’t mess with her mind any further.” I say with a giggle.
Ria: “You don’t want me to? If you want, I could turn her into your almost mindless love slave.” She proposed with an oddly serious tone.
Celia: “While that does sound very arousing, I would feel horrible after the fact. I am not the kind of person who would do something that they know would upset themselves down the line.” I quickly deny.
Ria: “This is what I mean by calling you a prude. Anyone else would have accepted my proposal in a heartbeat.” She replied.
Celia: “Do you think less of me because I am apparently a prude of a Supreme Goddess?” I ask.
Ria: “No. It’s just something that makes you unique. Which, in turn, just makes me more happy that I’ve married you.” She answered with a warm tone, taking my hand in hers.
And like that, we walked at a fast speed back to the area, all while holding each other’s hands. It was oddly romantic. I think that it would be better if there wasn’t crunching sounds of monsters. Ria killed any that approached us, you see…
Much Walking Later.
Sitting in the middle of the volcanic area; was my dear daughter, Alisa. It was now night. Originally, as I haven’t slept in days, I was very tired. But now, seeing my daughter diligently work to replenish this area that I destroyed, all while illuminated by the glowing light of the lava, my sleepiness faded away.
Celia: “Sorry, I went overboard on killing the monsters in this area…” I say with a remorseful tone.
Alisa: “The monsters are meant to be killed, so don’t worry about it. This is just my fault for not properly accounting for the chance of a powerful human showing up so soon.” She said, not taking her attention off of her work.
Celia: “I don’t think it’s fair to blame you, as I am an outlier.” I deny.
Alisa: “An outlier? I guess that you would be… You’re Celia, right?” She asked.
Celia: “That’s right.” I reply.
Alisa: “I am Alisa, the one who started this new world. Though, it would seem that you’re oddly familiar with me… Surely, you have some anger with me, yes?” She replied.
Celia: “Anger? I have none at all.” I reply shaking my head to say no, even though she wasn’t looking my way.
Alisa: “No anger? Ah, so it is just as I thought… you’re very interesting indeed.” She praised.
With that praise, I was pushed into action. That being me helping out Alisa with her Mana Crystals. I bribed Ria with sex to give me the information needed to replenish this area, and I did so with Alisa being shocked by my knowledge.
Much “Planting” Later.
Alisa: “I wonder how you knew how to properly plant the Mana Crystals…” She said with a curious tone.
Celia: “I will leave it up to your imagination.” I reply with a cheeky tone.
Alisa: “Ah, but my imagination is very vivid… Are you sure that you will not be upset with my conclusions?” She asked.
Celia: “My imagination is very vivid as well, Alisa.” I answer with a laugh.
Alisa: “I have two ideas… But I will only say one of them.” She replied.
Celia: “What is it?” I ask.
Alisa: “Are you perhaps my destined lover?” She asked with a serious tone.
Celia: “No. That is some other girl… Though, we’re destined to be together, but in a different way, on a different path.” I explain with a serious tone.
Alisa: “And what would that path and relation be? No… I don’t want the answer yet. I refuse to get pulled from this path so soon. One day… please tell me what we’re to each other. Until then, I just hope that you can keep it to yourself for now.” She replied with a thinking pose.
Celia: “If that is your decision, I will respect it.” I reply with a calm tone.
Alisa: “I thank you for that… And my destined lover? What can you tell me of her?” She asked with a curious tone and expression.
Celia: “Not much. Just that I agreed to help you find her.” I reply.
Alisa: “We’ve met before? Or is she and I destined lovers for many lives? How does that… No. Once again, let’s leave it at that.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Alright, I do not mind. Shall we head back to camp?” I suggest.
Alisa: “This area will take a few days to start spawning monsters again, though I do not need to monitor it. So, yes. Let us go back now.” She agreed.
Thus, Alisa and I started the walk back to the camp. Normally, I find backtracking to be very annoying. But it doesn’t feel even the least bit boring, or annoying, while doing it with one of my family members. It is a shame that I cannot get her to realize who I am to her early. As her mother, I must respect her wishes and continue to hold my tongue. I just hope that I can coax her memories of me soon…
