Chapter 1: She so Easily Kidnapped me…
(Celia’s POV)
Opening my eyes, I saw… nothing, really. Above me was an endless cloudscape, with the clouds and sky changing colors from time to time. I was nude, lying in a… pool of water that wasn’t shallow, but I somehow didn’t sink.
Like with the clouds, the water’s color would change as well. All in all, this place… whatever this dimension was, its… very magical, to say the least. Where am I? Wait… wasn’t I kidnapped by Sava!?
Sava: “Have you finally woken up? The transition to my universe was rougher than I expected. That damn Will really likes you, it seems…” She asked with… not much emotion at all.
Looking to my left, I saw Sava. She was nude as well, but I felt no arousal for her. Even though the woman was beautiful, I was already married to my wives. Plus, she just kidnapped me! Okay, some of my wives have done that before. But unlike my wives, I have no reason to go for bat for Sava.
Speaking of Sava… her eye and hair color would change, just like this dimension. Completely different from the personality that I met before, she was basically emotionless. Is this her real personality?…
Sava: “Yes, this is the real me, Celia. That Will… I had pissed it off long ago. As a punishment, it forced me to be a terrible person, and rewrote history to reflect that. If I didn’t follow along with its desires, then I would be erased.” She explained and answered my unasked question.
Celia: “If so… wouldn’t you doing this get you erased?” I ask with a head tilt.
Sava: “That Will has long since lost the ability to do anything to me. I have just been waiting for the perfect time to kill it… But that isn’t needed anymore.” She replied.
Celia: “Not needed… Why not?” I reply.
Sava: “With you… I won’t have to bend the rules so heavily. Killing the Will… comes with a heavy price. Just in the sense that beings higher than the Will won’t be happy with you. But you haven’t committed any universe altering crimes.” She added.
She wants me to kill the Will? I mean, I do want to do that as well… But is it even possible?
Celia: “Me? What exactly can I do? In my opinion, it seems like I am under the control of the Will…” I say with a nervous tone.
Sava: “That’s why I brought you here, Celia. The Will favored you too highly. Going as far as marking you so you won’t be controlled by anything. Not even the Will can control you, and that is what I wish to use to our advantage.” She answered.
This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Celia: “I see… What exactly do you want, though?” I ask with a curious expression and tone.
Sava: “Revenge, just petty revenge. The Will of Existence for this dimension has… more than overstepped its bounds. The longer it exists, the more and more your life will be… tailored to its lofty desires.” She replied.
Ah, so I was right… Though not being controlled, my second life was manipulated by the Will. All just to make it more interesting for all involved. I think I know why so many higher beings find my life to be entertaining to a certain extent…
Sava: “The System, which I managed to create under the Will’s nose, was the first step. I figured that, even in the event that I do get erased, someone will come along that can go against the Will. And you… are that person, Celia.” She said with a loving tone, lightly rubbing my cheek.
Celia: “…”
There was no attraction, and this wasn’t a sexual act. Instead… this felt like Sava was a mother to me, one that was praising me just for existing. Even with her expressionless face, I felt an overwhelming sense of… pride in me.
Sava: “You have all the needed abilities to aid me. You just have to want to help me.” She said with a sad tone.
Celia: “Help the woman who kidnapped me?” I say with a raised eyebrow.
Sava: “Say the word, and I will return you to your family unharmed, and I will not appear before you ever again.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “…”
Sava: “But… if you stay and accept helping me, you will gain the power to protect your family. This is just one of the many loops for this universe… as such, I know that the games will be upon us soon.” She offered.
Celia: “Games? I feel like Ria mentioned something about them…” I say with a thinking pose.
Sava: “I looked into her soul for a bit… this wasn’t her first loop, either. How lofty… that woman had come from the future, all just to save you from grief. But instead… you saved her, and absolutely foil her well thought out plans.” She said with a laugh.
Though she laughed, her face really didn’t express it. It wasn’t like she was completely emotionless. Rather, the emotions on her face were extremely subdued. I guess that anyone would end up like her, after being so betrayed by a higher power.
Sava: “Celia, you must trust me in, and all will be well. I will give you power that greatly overshadows even Ria, as well as giving you the ability to cut loose those controlled by the Will. Do you accept?” She proposed.
Celia: “Well, it depends… Surely, there is a catch, right?” I assume in reply.
Sava: “The catch is time, dear. Time works very differently in this closed off universe of mine. By the time we’re done, many years will have passed in our original universe.” She admitted.
Celia: “But… I will be able to save them all if I agree, won’t I?” I ask with an unsure tone.
Sava: “None of your family will die if you agree. I promise you this on my honor of a Highest Goddess. Accept, and your life will be free. None will be able to harm your family after the game ends.” She swore with a serious tone.
Celia: “…I accept.” I reply.
Sava: “Wonderful! For now, just rest in this water. It will heal you and correctly reform your body to more fit your soul. Don’t worry, your appearance won’t change at all. I am sure that many would kill for this chance, Celia. Just by doing this… you will end up twice as powerful, and it will be even easier to level up yourself!” She explained.
I had agreed to her proposal, not because I had no choice in the matter, but because I was fine with the sacrifice. This might be the last time that I must sacrifice my own happiness to ensure the safety of my family. As it is the last, I will not be regretting this decision. Soon, I will be able to protect them fully. I just have to be away from them for a long while…
