Chapter 41: Attending a Wedding.

(June’s POV)

All and everything was… very odd. Celia was always that type of person. One who brings out the best in those around her, and a being that… seemingly always knows what the correct choice is, regardless of the situation.

If it was me, I wouldn’t have helped Celia out so much, which is something that pains me greatly. Though I was just her friend, Celia didn’t just save me. Instead, she gave me… more power than I’ve ever had in my life. In fact, my wife might now be weaker than me…

Of course, though this new power of mine, and my new race, are something that I do very much love. Once this game is over, then I go and find my wife. It won’t even matter if she is in a different dimension, either. This is another thing that I have Celia to thank for, but no way to repay…

June: “Isn’t this a little too grand of an outfit?” I ask.

Celia: “Too grand? Just don’t think of it like that. Instead, just think that your outfit is just to enhance your beauty.” She replied with a laugh.

June: “…”

Truly, that single answer was enough to convince me to wear this outfit. On top of the entire set, I was also wearing a very beautiful dress. Which, in her words, really did enhance my natural beauty.

Soon, we had arrived at Saren and Remi’s wedding. Using magic to hide it, Saren was already sporting a baby bump. With my race, most magic like that is useless, so both Celia and I easily saw through it. But neither of us brought it up to them.

Many Hours Later.

The wedding was… very nice. Though I didn’t know them, I was happy for Remi and Saren. They made a good couple, and my thoughts were on… what my wedding will be like. I call Miracle my wife, but we didn’t actually get married yet…

Celia: “You know… I haven’t married my wives yet.” She said with a wistful tone.

June: “How many wives do you even have?” I ask with a curious tone.

Celia: “My wives? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7… Seven wives.” She answered after counting.

June: “…”

Celia: “My daughters were hounding us to get married, but we planned on doing it after everything settles down. That means, after the game, and after I get everyone to Home, then we’ll have a wedding.” She explained.

Home, huh? She did mention that special universe to me, and I kinda still don’t believe that it exists. From what I’ve seen, all of existence is mostly about fighting. Why would a universe exist where everyone just rests? Wait… how many daughters does she have???

June: “Exactly how many daughters do you have?” I ask, also with a curious tone.

Celia: “…1, 2, 3, three daughters.” She replied.

June: “Are you sure that you didn’t forget any?” I reply with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “I don’t think so, no. I am a good mother, and a good wife, you know.” She said with a smug tone.

June: “…”

While out on the balcony, Celia and I were talking about things. Celia did save me at one point, and even helped me take the throne, but I didn’t see her as a friend. That is, until she saved me from those Goblins.

After that, she even gave me practically endless power, and let me join her group. As long as everything plays out in the way that Celia wants it to play out, then I should be set for life. And all just from being her friend…

Celia: “What’s wrong? Are you feeling sick? The brides already left the venue, and a small party is what’s left. If you want, then we can leave right now.” She asked with a concerned tone.

June: “…”

There it was… The same reason why her family is so big, and why so many women fell for her. Celia was caring to a fault. She is the type that… truly gives people comfort and safety, typically without asking for anything in return.

For what reason did she help me? Not to mention the first few times, but what about now? It is purely because she sees me as her friend. This entire time, besides perhaps some company, I haven’t given Celia anything in return.

Celia even went as far as wasting her precious SIPs on a silly item, for what, I can only assume, was really just a funny joke to her. It makes me think… am I worth what she is giving me? If just being her friend gives me thoughts like that, I kinda don’t even want to know how difficult it would be to be in her direct family.

June: “I am a little tired, yes.” I reply.

Celia: “Then let’s leave. We have already given the brides are blessings, and I was never one for parties.” She said with a smile, taking my hand, and starting to fly.

Her hand was warm, her love was… clearly apparent. But I was already married, and this love of hers wasn’t romantic. Now that I have known her longer, Celia’s Domain finally makes sense to me. It’s like… just as long as you were female, then Celia will help you in any way that she can.

Such a thing is overwhelming, and absolutely not something that I was strong enough to do myself. As we flew together, I vowed to never betray this woman. Why? Because… my betrayal would hurt so damn much. Celia wouldn’t hate me in the least, and she wouldn’t even let me even seek forgiveness.

For what forgiveness is there left to seek? Perhaps only if I harm her family would she ever hate me. Whatever the truth, it’s not something that I’ll ever bother to find out. For now, I just need to work on helping her with the game as best as I can. After all, besides that, I have never else to offer her in return. Huh? Why does she seem down?

June: “What’s wrong?” I ask with a concerned tone.

Celia: “The woman in my head hasn’t talked to me in a while.” She answered with a sad tone.

June: “???”
