Chapter 62: Start of the Terror!
(*Celia’s POV*)
Yona: “Lady Celia, we should make it to that town within a few hours. Before that, could I ask you a question?” She asked.
Celia: “You just did, though?” I reply.
Yona: “…Is it boring to be around me, Lady Celia? For most of the trip, we’ve barely talked at all…” She said with a nervous tone.
Oh, so you’re just going to ignore my cheeky reply and ask your actual question? It is surprising how much Yona acts just like I’ve always known her to act. That is, not mentioning the whole seducing me part…
Celia: “No. You and I have a similar personality. We tend to not talk that often.” I reply.
Yona: “That is true… Frankly speaking, I have spoken to you more since I’ve met you, than I’ve ever talked to anyone else. I haven’t even talked to my own parents this much.” She replied with a sigh.
Celia: “Once we get to know each other more, then we will actually talk to each other more. For instance, I talk to Victoria, Selen, and Clarisa more. But that is just because I’ve known them longer.” I reply.
Yona: “You’ve known them longer than me? That can’t be right…” She said with a confused tone.
Celia: “Lady Yona, we met just a week ago, you know?” I reply with a giggle.
Yona: “…”
Did the Creator fuck up? Why does Yona feel like we’ve known each other for a long time? Is it because I’ve been around Yona for a while that somehow it’s bringing back some of her memories of me? If so, then I just have to stay with her for longer.
Yona seemed to be lost in thought, so the rest of the trip was quiet. Actually, it was far too quiet… Once we got within less than a mile of the town, which name I never got, the sky turned dark. It was very creepy.
Yona: “Let’s go on foot from here.” She proposed.
Celia: “Okay. The horse is getting scared, after all.” I reply, before letting Yona help me off of the horse.
While walking toward the town, the atmosphere got more fucked up. It was like being in a building used to do some kind of extremely high budget Halloween scare building, or something along those lines.
Yona: “Lady Celia… We should be careful…” Her words were cut off.
From under the ground sprouted skeletons. Well, there were just two of them. One sprung out from under me, and the other sprung out from under Yona. Yona dodged, while I didn’t. Instead, I just stepped back a little bit, and then punched the head of the skeleton, which seemed to have killed it. Ah, Yona killed the skeleton on her side as well.
Yona: “…”

Huh… so it’s zombie rules? How stupid… Does like, the soul reside inside the skull? I mean, I did crush it completely… Despite still being limited by being level 60, I am actually very strong for a human, and for my age. Which is why I was able to easily crush that skeleton’s pitiful and empty skull.
Yona: “Are you alright?” She asked with a concerned tone.
Yona came over to me and checked out my hand all over. Girl… do you think that I am fragile, or something?…
Celia: “Lady Yona, I am not a weak person. Though your concern is appreciated greatly.” I reply with a smile.
Yona: “Sorry… It seems that there is a necromancer controlling these Skeletons.” She replied.
Celia: “How do you know for sure?” I ask with a curious tone.
Yona: “If there wasn’t someone controlling them, the skeletons wouldn’t have laid under the ground, waiting for someone to appear above them. Naturally occurring raised skeletons don’t do plans like that.” She explained.
Celia: “Alright, so we have to go find that necromancer?” I suggest.
Yona: “That is correct, yes.” She replied with a nod.
*Some Time Later.*
The closer we got to the town, the more and more skeletons would pop up to stop us. But something that I realized was that the skeletons weren’t trying to kill us at all. They seemed to want to capture us, rather than kill us…
Celia: “Is that necromancer using human sacrifices?” I ask.
Yona: “Since they have ordered their skeletons to capture instead of kill people, I would assume so.” She agreed.
Celia: “That’s bad… If so, they have probably already sacrificed that entire town. Do you think that they’re trying to summon something with the sacrifice?” I ask.
Yona: “Either that, or I would have no idea why they would do such a thing. It’s not like all necromancers are evil, mind you. Most aren’t, as they greatly respect the dead. But whoever this person is, well, they won’t be a good person at all.” She said with a thinking pose.
As she said that, another skeleton popped up behind her. This time, it was aiming to kill her. Yona didn’t notice in time, so I had to rush over to her and push Yona out of the way. We got out of the way of the attack, but my back was slashed decently bad…

Huh? Soul repair? And, I actually managed to get a level up!? What the fuck?… Did I just heal by time or something? I will have to figure this out later… As for now, luckily, that attack didn’t do much damage. In fact, it just looks worse than it actually is.
Yona: “Celia!” She exclaimed after killing off the skeleton.
Celia: “Huh? Yeah?” I reply with a head tilt.
Yona: “Your back is wounded…” She said with a shaky tone.
Celia: “It’s fine. I’ve had far worse wounds before. Do you happen to have healing potions?” I ask with a nonchalant tone.
Yona: “Yes! Take as many as you need!” She quickly replied, handing me a ton of potions.
With a laugh, I took two and gave the rest back to Yona. I only need two of them, after all. Pouring a healing potion on my wound, it quickly healed up. For the last one, I just downed it until it was empty. Now my HP was full again.
Yona: “Celia… Lady Celia, thank you for protecting me. I was distracted.” She said with a sad expression.
Celia: “Don’t worry about it. My question was what distracted you. I am just glad that I made it to you in time.” I reply with a smile.
Yona: “…”
Celia: “Until we leave this place, we should keep the talking down to the minimum, okay?” I propose.
Yona: “Right…” She replied.
Damn… was she that upset that I ended up protecting her? I know that she only took me here to flirt, but that doesn’t mean that I can just let her get injured. Yona seems off, so I guess that I have to watch her more carefully until we get out of this place…
