Chapter 79: Literally a Cold War.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Still holding hands with Yona, we left the castle. I did briefly leave the inside of the castle once, but it was far too cold to be outside at the time. Currently, it was still very cold. But at least it wasn’t a complete blizzard like it was three years ago…
Yona: “My military has already been deployed, so we will head to where our main camp is.” She said.
Celia: “Where is the fighting taking place?” I ask.
Yona: “Near a port city. I let Victoria take it over, as I do not possess a good navy fleet to fight a battle on the high seas. Instead, they’re having to protect the city that they took over, while we completely block them in.” She explained.
Celia: “Uh… How crafty.” I reply with a giggle.
Yona: “Come on, let us head there now.” She said, releasing her grip on my hand.
Snapping her fingers, a horse appeared out of a dark mist. Despite the cool looking armor on it, I could tell that it was the horse that I once rode on a few years ago. It wasn’t a normal horse at all?… Yona helped me up onto the horse, just like before.
Celia: “I’ve been thinking… why doesn’t anyone just use one of those invisibility rings to win the war with ease?” I say with a curious tone.
Yona: “Such a move would be very obvious. As such, there exists magic that blocks invisibility.” She replied.
Celia: “Aw… and I thought that it would be a good idea.” I reply with a sigh.
Despite being together for three years, both Yona and I were still quiet around each other. We did talk somewhat while in the castle. Though it seems that, due to Yona not understanding her feelings toward me, she is still confused. Not to mention, this situation is pretty serious.
Yona rode quite fast, but I was still able to enjoy the scenery of her empire. It wasn’t a barren, frozen wasteland. Rather, it was very beautiful. A winter wonderland, in my opinion.
Yona: “Sorry if the outside isn’t up to your standards, Celia.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “I am a picky girl, or something? I find this place to very beautiful, actually.” I reply.
Yona: “That so? Well, then I hope that means that you’re more interested in defending it now.” She said with a laugh.
Celia: “Did I say that I didn’t want to defend it? Anything that is precious to you is just as precious to me, Yona.” I say with a warm tone.

Yona: “…”
She didn’t respond to my comment, but her ears were now red. A starkly different color to the white surrounding us. Does… does Yona still see me as a love interest? Am I giving her the wrong messages? I just want her to return to being my mother, like before…
*Hours Later.*
Yona’s castle, or rather, the capital city, was in the middle of the continent. To reach one end of it, I assumed that it would take at least a few days of riding to do so. But Yona’s horse surprised me by flying the rest of the way. The speed was very, very fast.
Yona: “I’ve never flown this fast before. But thanks to the magic that you taught me, we can fly fast without any problems.” She said with a happy tone as she helped me off of the horse.
Celia: “Should I feel bad about making you even more powerful than before we met?” I jokingly reply.
Yona: “Should you? I, for one, am very thankful for your help.” She said as she rubbed my head.
Celia: “…”
Head pats are cheating!!! Truly, the best damn way to console or tame anyone. Actually, it seemed that pretty much everything liked to be pat at some place on their body. It’s not something exclusive to humans or other humanoid beings.
Still holding my hand, Yona guided me into the military camp. Specifically, all her soldiers saluted her, and she took me right to her private tent. Yona pointed to the couch, gesturing for me to sit down.
Celia: “What’s wrong?” I ask after sitting down.
Yona: “I need to go explain the plan to my military.” She replied.
Celia: “Oh? And I can’t come along for that?” I ask with a feigned aggrieved tone.
Yona: “…Considering that this is a war against someone that you care about, I can‘t, in good faith, take you with me. After all, I will be planning on how best to defeat them.” She denied before leaving the tent.
Celia: “…”
With how fast that she left me, I was worried that she was planning something that I didn’t like at all. Immediately, I got up from the couch, and I then went to the exit of the tent. Opening the tent flap thingy, I realized that there were two maids outside standing guard…
Mar: “Lady Celia, Mistrss has ordered us to not let you wonder around anywhere.” She said with a stern tone.
Celia: “…”
With a sigh, I closed the flap and went back into the tent. This is kinda pissing me off… When was the last time that Yona has ever tried to hide something from me? This is too suspicious… Creator!!!
Creator: “What is it, Celia?” She asked in a warm tone in my head.
Celia: “…”
Creator: “?”
Celia: “Sorry… I am just not used to you acting like that.” I reply with a remorseful tone in my head.
Creator: “I realized that your words were correct. I won’t try to make you feel hatred or disgust for me anymore. Though I do wish that you will hate me in the end, I am through with pretending to be someone that I am not.” She explained.
Celia: “That’s good to know. I am happy that you took my advice seriously.” I reply with a happy tone.
Creator: “Yeah. What did you need help with?” She asked once more.
Celia: “Can you give me back my blessing of the Elves?” I ask.
Creator: “…I can… and their magic can’t block or detect it at all. But first, why?” She replied.
Celia: “I want to sneak to where Yona is explaining her military plan to defeat Victoria. She is hiding something from me, and it irks and worries me greatly.” I answer.
Creator: “…”
Celia: “Look, won’t it be entertaining? I know that, deep down, you’re doing these things to me for a very good reason. But I also know that you very much enjoy peeping in on my life.” I say with a warm tone.
Creator: “Fine… But I won’t do this in another dimension. I am only granting this request, as you’ve already found your mother. And it won’t be long until you two leave this dimension.” She replied with a sigh.
Celia: “Thank you!” I reply with a happy tone.
Testing out my invisibility, I was happy to know that it was working just as good as always. Ah, invisibility magic… I never took you for granted at all! I am so happy to have at least one kind of magic back. Now then, how shall I escape this tent?…
