Chapter 43: Something, Something…
(Celia’s POV)
Ria was busy running my kingdom for me, so it was primarily a solo journey for me once again. It had been a while since I was alone, which meant that no one could stop me from doing something crazy!
Not like someone being around me was good enough of a deterrent. It really wasn’t. Honestly, I do have pride in the fact that I make life for others very interesting. Who wouldn’t love a girl like me? Wow… when did I become such a narcissist?
The day I was born… maybe? Anyway, I left Alisa’s camp, and then I set off on my way. Specifically, I decided to walk in the opposite direction of Vesta. I was going to go on to each kingdom, and do fun in them, but in order.
As such, I am now on my way to… I actually have no idea what the other kingdoms are even named. Really, none of them earned even that little of my respect. Most of them were blatantly evil.
And what did I mean by that? Life isn’t really black and white, I know. But my words are correct. Kingdoms other than Vesta all practiced various horrible crimes against their own people. Things such as slavery, or noblism.
In those kingdoms, power and bloodlines are the most important. Rather than build back the world better, they stooped to the lows of their past histories. There is a reason that, even just five years in, each of those kingdoms tell their people that Vesta is ruled by demons and witches.
Did it work? Honestly, I have no real idea at the moment. From what Ria’s seen, all of those kingdoms keep their borders locked down greatly. People, even the weak humans, are still a very valuable resource.
Guard: “Where is your ID?” He asked.
Celia: “ID?” I say with a head tilt.
Guard: “Girl… you need an ID to go anywhere. How did you even get this far, or to this kingdom?” He replied with a stern tone.
Celia: “Ah! My ID? I have it right here.” I say with a cheeky tone.
Guard: “Great! Show me and I’ll…” Those were his last words.
Why? Well, my ID also works as a 100% discount as well. That is, I cut off his head with my sword. Was he a bad person? I don’t know, nor do I even care at this point. I have already decided to burn these kingdoms to the ground, innocents and all.
I mean, normal sexism aside. I won’t be sparing any males. Now, the females… I will probably spare them. As I think about this while slaughtering those guarding the border, I wonder if I am a good or bad person…

Sploosh!
The walls of the border were now covered in blood. The gate hanging open, as some of the guards tried to escape inside the kingdom. That didn’t save them at all. Instead, it just gave me an easy way inside the kingdom, whatever it is named.
I made light of the guards and the amount of time it took to kill them all. Rather than just one, two, or twenty of them. There were over a few hundred. Each kingdom had one or two exits/entrances. Which is why this one was so heavily guarded.
Looking ahead, I saw a very stereotypical medieval fantasy kingdom before me. That being various small towns, with farms dotted here and there. Jumping down from the tree that I forgot to mention that I climbed up, I set off to explore this kingdom in full.
Much Exploring Later.
That edgy speech was just a joke, you know?… Sure, I killed the guards. That I won’t deny. But I also let most of them go, and it wasn’t like I was going to go on a killing spree for no reason.
I want this place gone, but the people living in it will still be helpful to Vesta. I just need to convince them to migrate over to my kingdom. And for that, I need to figure out ways to destroy this kingdom, and the other ones, with minimal casualties in doing so.
Of course, I could have easily leaped over the border, but I kinda wanted to test the level of the humans at the moment. Unfortunately, it would seem that, once again, I am an overpowered girl… What even would be the point of killing monsters?
And, the humans are a far better bounty. Not only are they much easier to kill, but I also get far stronger from killing them than what I get from killing monsters. In this kingdom, at least, I get around 100 of those volcano monsters per kill.
It really is survival of the fittest in this new world that my daughter has created… I am so damn proud of her! Not because I agree with the method, but because doing such a thing is a feat in a half. How could I not be a proud mother?
Waitress: “Are you not going to order anything, mam?” She asked with a polite tone.
Celia: “Oh, sorry. I was zoning out… What would you recommend?” I reply.
Waitress: “I would recommend the…” Her words were cut off.
Bang!
The waitress’s words stopped as some bandits rushed into the restaurant, all with weapons in hand. This might not have been the main city of this kingdom, but it was at least the second largest. Not to mention, but it was still broad daylight out… What shitty bandits.
Bandit A: “Everyone, lay out your items, money, etc. Put them all on the ground and walk away. Listen to my orders, and no one has to get hurt.” He ordered.
Bandit B: “Business as usual, everyone.” He said with a cheerful tone.
What? Everyone just did as they said, no one even bothering to resist at all. The funny thing was that it would seem that people barely had anything on them at all. Was this just a normal thing that happens?
Waitress: “I have worked in this restaurant for three years, and this is the 586th time that this has happened. I counted.” She answered.
Celia: “Why does no one try to stop them? They don’t seem even the least be strong.” I ask.
Waitress: “Yatta, yatta, they are part of a big crime organization. As such, hurting, killing, or even just angering them will leave you at the mercy of their group.” She explained.
Celia: “I see… Thanks for answering.” I say with a thankful tone.
Waitress: “There is an insurance racket that is pretty good, so the restaurant will close up for today, sorry. I am sure that manager is in on this whole thing, stupidly enough.” She said with a sigh.
Truly… the humans of this world have somehow made an even worse world than the one that recently fell. I tend to put more faith in my old race, but it would seem that, for some reason, the people of this world created this mess… With the low bounty of their robbing harvest, the bandit group set their sights on me, clearly a newcomer of this town. Ah, some very good fun is waiting me…
