Chapter 50: Small Town Reds.
(*Celia’s POV*)
I don’t know how long that I was asleep for, but it felt like a while. Trying to sit up, I actually couldn’t at all. Looking around, I noticed that my hands were tied behind my head. More specifically, tied up to the back of the bed. Where the fuck am I?
Fuck it… What is my status like now? Surely, after killing so many people, I will have leveled up a decent bit, right? Regardless of how much I level up, I will be pumping all my SIP’s into strength. As with my current Strength Stat, I can’t break these restraints.

Ah, so that’s why I can’t move… My HP Stat is full, but I am starving at the moment. As much as it pains me to not evenly distribute my SIP’s, I need the strength at this exact moment. With that, I did as mentioned. Now my Status looked like this.

Not that big of a change, but this change was what I needed. I should be able to break out of these damn chains now. Before I could try, I someone came into the room that I was being held captive in. In front of me was a beautiful blond-haired woman.
She looked straight out of a manga about noble children. Though, she looked more like a villain. She didn’t have drill hair, though. Which was a disappointment to me, somewhat. The woman looked to be in her twenties. Who is she, anyway?
Blond Chick: “I’ve sent Victoria’s little helper away. Much to my annoyance, she refused to tell me anything about you.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “That so? I fail to see how that is my problem.” I reply with a shrug.
Blond Chick: “Oh, I am not blaming you at all. Anyway, I have a test for you.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “What kind of test?” I ask.
Clarisa: “I am Clarisa Velmont. I am an heir to a very powerful family. My test is simply your chance at joining my adventuring party.” She replied.
Celia: “What is the test?” I ask with a sigh.
Clarisa: “You did well in that fight with the bandits, but can you break out of these restraints? If you can, I swear to take care of your wellbeing, and all you have to do is fight alongside me…” She explained with her sentence becoming slower near the end.
The reason for the shift in her tone is that once she asked me to break out of the restraints, I did so almost immediately. Clarisa only realized this near the end of her sentence, which is something that I found funny.
Clarisa: “…I didn’t expect you to be able to escape.” She said with a surprised expression.
Celia: “And how is that my fault?” I reply.
Clarisa: “…This personality of yours will take me a while to get used to… Anyway, here is your dagger back.” She said before throwing me my dagger.
Looking at my dagger, it was just as fine as before. That being said, it really took a beating in that fight with the bandits. This dagger won’t last that much longer. Which means I will need a new weapon soon…
Celia: “Thanks.” I reply.
Clarisa: “Don’t thank me just yet. We still have to escape from this place.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “???”
Clarisa: “I wasn’t the one who put you in those restraints, Celia. While carrying you, Penni was attacked by the villagers of this village. The people here practice cannibalism, and you’re the next meal.” She explained.
Celia: “What happened to Penni?” I ask with a serious tone.
Clarisa: “She defended herself, but you got captured. I watched the fight with the bandits, and her getting attacked by them. I am good friends with both her and Victoria, so I told her that I would save you, as well as take care of you, from now on.” She answered.
Celia: “Are we running, or killing the whole village?” I ask.
Clarisa: “This village wasn’t the one that you two were supposed to end up at. Penni was always terrible with directions… This village is more out of the way. The Brestia Adventurer’s Guild has already put up a mission to exterminate this village.” She explained.
Celia: “Isn’t that a little extreme?” I reply with a raised eyebrow.
Clarisa: “Extreme as it sounds, we can’t let them live. They carry terrible diseases. And besides, even if we do not kill them, they won’t live for more than a few years. Cannibalism isn’t healthy.” She said with a shrug.
Celia: “Fine… What’s the plan?” I ask.
Clarisa: “The other member of our group, Selen, is about to launch a rain of fire into the village. We just need to escape before she puts up the barrier that will prevent anyone from escaping.” She replied.
Clarisa, despite clearly being a noble lady, picked me up in a princess carry, and we quickly left the building. Outside was a horde of people. Shocked at our appearance, they ran to get their makeshift weapons. Which was just farming equipment.
I don’t know how she managed to get into the room without alerting anyone, but now that we left it, practically the entire village was after us. Clarisa quickly made it to the end of the village, and before the villagers could follow us out of it, a barrier was erected before them.
It was a good thing that Clarisa picked me up, as I wouldn’t have been fast enough in this body to escape. As they looked on at us, the sky above them soon turned red. Soon, they were banging onto the barrier, begging to be let out.
From outside the barrier, I couldn’t even feel the heat. But the village was completely engulfed in flames. Even if they managed to escape the fire, they will die from not being able to breathe. Twenty minutes later, the village was just ashes, and all of the villagers were dead.
Rather than Clarisa, I am more afraid of the mage of our group… That isn’t a spell that a human could do; I doubt even Victoria could pull off an attack like this. Of course, if it was me before I got sent to this dimension, I could do this easily. And most of the people in my family could as well.
Clarisa: “Celia, you’re more than capable of being in our group. From here on, it will be easy sailing. You’re still pretty weak at the moment, so I will carry you for a while, okay?” She said with a smile.
Celia: “Thanks. I appreciate it.” I reply with a smile of my own.
Due to my starvation, I ended up falling asleep not long after I last spoke to Clarisa. Look, rather than a bed, the best place to sleep is on a woman. Women are soft, you know? Even as a child at the moment, I can still appreciate a woman’s body. This was what I had last thought about before falling asleep. I hope that I don’t have any inappropriate dreams…
