Chapter 76: Adventure?

Chapter 76: Adventure?

*Celia’s POV*

Thinking about it, this place being the default location for this dimension, doesn’t really explain why it’s a dungeon… Ruina? Got an explanation for that one?

Ruina: “Don’t be shocked, but most dimensions have the same kind of setup that this world is currently like.” She replied.

Celia: “What does that mean?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ruina: “Think of it like a game company building a WWII FPS, but on the backbones of their previous game, that was a fantasy RPG.” She explained.

Celia: “So… Dungeons, fantasy races, and monsters, are the default for most dimensions?” I ask.

Ruina: “Correct. What a dimension ends up like, all depends on the whim of the will of said dimension.” She said.

Hm… That sounds like something far above my pay grade… Eh, it isn’t something that I will ever have to worry about, so I should just erase it from my memory. Just like that other event that I erased…

It was too hard to think about such things at the moment anyway, as there were traps almost everywhere in this dungeon. I applaud the creativity of this default location…

Who knew that there were so many unique ways in which you could kill someone that invaded your dungeon? I didn’t, but I shall surely “borrow” such ideas for my own dungeon. Heh…

While gloating about this within my own head, a spear popped out of the ground and nearly impaled me, but I managed to dodge backwards. Fuck… I gotta pay attention! I do NOT want to be impaled from the pelvis up, any time soon…

Strangely, I haven’t come across any more Skeleton Ghosts in a decent while. Did I end up killing them all off? Oops… Eh, they needed to be put to rest anyway. All I did was just give them said rest, and pocket some goodies in the process.

After walking for a few more minutes longer, and dealing with a shit ton of traps in the process, I came across another stone door. It looked just like the other one did… Should I try the secret phrase?… I am sure that even Ruina will be surprised by it.

Celia: “Open Sesame!” I yell with an excited tone.

Ruina: “Um… Celia? Did you perhaps go mad?” She asked with a concerned tone.

Celia: “Maybe one day, but not at the moment. Just watch.” I say with a smug tone.

Ruina: “I refuse to believe that what you said, would actually open this…” She said before cutting her words short.

Ruina absolutely stopped talking, since the door opened up. With a smug expression, I walked through the door. Come to think of it, I think that the phrase isn’t what opens the door.

Maybe someone just has to ask for the door to open? If I come across another one, I shall try out my theory. In the meantime, Ruina was silent, probably nursing a headache from my antics. Heh…

Wait a minute… If this is the default location of the dimension, then how the hell can I even leave it? I’m not trapped, right?…

Ruina: “The default location in every dimension, is made for those who got trapped in it, to eventually leave.” She said with a reassuring tone.

Phew… I was about to have a panic attack… I am guessing that all of those skeletons that I killed, were people who couldn’t figure out how to actually leave. I only mentioned the ones with interesting clothes, and weapons, but there were people with modern clothes on as well.

They didn’t have weapons on them, though. Unless you count a smartphone as a weapon… I mean, they did try to throw it at me, but as you would expect, it didn’t hurt much at all. Right… back to exploring!

*Some Time Later.*

So… funny story… I still haven’t found an exit, or anything interesting so far… Once again, I am being bored to death… With my sword out, I barged into a room. Inside the room, was a tomb thing, but nothing else. With an annoyed sigh, I sat down onto the tomb, and then got some food out to eat. I was decently hungry at this point.

As I take a bite out of some tasty bread, there was a thump from the inside of the tomb. Or would be called a stone coffin? Eh, regardless, SOMETHING is alive in it…

With a sorrowful expression, I put my food back in my pouch, and ready my sword. Rather than use my hands to open up the coffin, I just kicked off the lid with my foot.

Within the coffin, was a familiar face… No, really! It was the bitch that killed me in my first life! Why the fuck is she in a stupid ass coffin!? Hmm… she seems weak. Maybe I can get my revenge on her?…

Bitch That Killed Me: “To think that the one to save me, would be someone that I once killed.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “I’m guessing that you recognize me by my soul, or something, right?” I ask.

Bitch That Killed Me: “That is correct, my name is Kuria.” She replied.

Celia: “Kuria, I would ask why you killed me, but I am more interested in why you’re in this place.” I say.

Kuria: “I am a Goddess of Chaos. Fully killing me isn’t possible, so after another Goddess destroyed my body, other higher beings sealed my soul within this coffin.” She explained.

Celia: “Cool. You seem weak, could you give me a SINGLE reason to not take revenge on you right now?” I ask with a serious tone.

Kuria: “You don’t seem to care about revenge much at all. Besides, like I said, you cannot fully kill me anyway.” She said with a shrug.

Celia: “I could still torture you, though.” I say with an evil tone.

Kuria: “You could, but you aren’t the type of person to do such a thing. Do you want me to make an excuse for what happened? I have none. For reasons I don’t even recall anymore, I was enraged. Thus, this rage ended with your and my deaths.” She said with a giggle.

Celia: “True…” I say with a sigh, before helping her out of the coffin.

Kuria was quite pretty. You wouldn’t think that a crazy Goddess like her, would have such cute emerald green hair and eyes. Her breasts being decently big are a bonus as well.

She was also wearing a cute emerald dress as well. I guess that cute girls are my weakness? Even if she killed me, I for some reason, do not really feel the need to get revenge against her.

Kuria: “Where even is this place?” She asked with a curious tone.

Celia: “The default location of this dimension.” I reply.

Kuria: “Default location? I guess that is the best place to seal me away. Not many people even survive this place.” She said with a thinking pose.

Celia: “Do you know how long it has been?” I ask.

Kuria: “Since I died and was sealed away? Time works weirdly in dungeons like this, so it could have been thousands of years.” She replied.

Celia: “I was only reincarnated a little while back, so I don’t know how long it’s been since I died. But I think that it was at least a few thousand years.” I say with a thinking pose.

Kuria: “That so? Well, it changes nothing. Be not afraid, I have no desire to cause harm to you, or anyone else that doesn’t provoke me first.” She said with a serious expression.

Celia: “Am I an idiot for trusting someone who once killed me?” I say with a joking tone.

Kuria: “No, but your reasons for doing so are plain to see. You find me attractive, so you cannot bring yourself to harm me. I am very proud of this outcome.” She said with a proud tone.

Celia: “…”

I never thought that I would say this, but I am not going to be exploring an odd dungeon, with a woman who killed me once before… What could go wrong?…
