Chapter 36: Demon Camp.

(Celia’s POV)

It took many hours of walking for us to make it to the camp that Fin mentioned. Of course, it was mostly due to Ria continuing to secretly flirt with me, which slowed us down somewhat. But also, it was decently far away.

Which easily explains why Fin was so tired when she made it to me. I was curious about how she found me, but Fin said that it wasn’t something that she could tell me. But… my curiosity!!!

Fin: “This is current camp.” She said, gesturing toward it.

Celia: “Wow…” I reply.

It was… honestly nothing that impressive. Behind a type of magic that made you unable to see through it, was just a normal modern city. If you looked on the outside, you would just see an endless forest. I mean, I was expecting some fantasy camp. But it was just a normal place…

Fin: “Yeah, yeah. I know that it isn’t that impressive. Certainly nothing fantasy like. Though, you’re surely impressed by the magic, right? Not to mention, you’re the first, and probably will be the only human who will ever set foot in one of our camps.” She said with a smile.

Celia: “Oh, that does make it more impressive!” I reply with a smile of my own.

Fin: “And cities like this will be rare. In fact, most humans will have to start living like medieval peasants.” She said with a giggle.

Celia: “Does that include me?” I ask.

Fin: “I would say so, yes. But it would seem that you’re quite interesting. Who knows if you’ll catch the eye of a general or commander of ours.” She jokingly answered.

Celia: “Who knows… Anyway, back on to the main topic of today.” I say with a laugh.

Fin: “Main topic? What would that be?” She replied with a head tilt.

Celia: “Food.” I answer with a deadpan expression and tone.

Fin: “…”

It wasn’t like I was starving. Far from it, in fact. My good wife, Ria, did feed me a lot, after all. But who am I to pass up the chance of eating possibly amazing food? I love food. I love food almost as much as I love women…

Some Walking Later.

Fin took me to a restaurant to eat. It was just normal food that anyone could have, really. Nothing special at all. Rather than start from scratch, it would seem that these “camps” are just cities that Alisa and her group took over.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Celia: “Pretty convenient that you had people who knew how to run businesses like this in your group.” I say before taking another bite of my food.

Fin: “Convenient? Not so.” She denied.

Celia: “How is it not?” I reply.

Fin: “Simply put, most of our kind were originally humans. Our leader, Alisa, changed us into our new race. As such, it wasn’t that we had people like this on our side, it was just that we converted most of the city to our race.” She explained.

Celia: “Hm… I feel like that is someone’s fetish.” I jokingly reply.

Fin: “…”

Ria secretly scolded me for teasing Fin, but I fought back, saying that she wasn’t any better than me. At this point, teasing girls is a hobby of mine, and clearly a hobby that Ria shares with me as well. We’re married, you know.

Fin: “Great, now that you’ve eaten, can you please leave?” She asked.

Celia: “Kicking me out already? How rude!” I say with a joking pout.

Fin: “I would rather not be considered a criminal, so I beg of you to just leave.” She pleaded.

Celia: “And without a bribe? The food doesn’t count, mind you.” I reply with a cheeky tone.

Fin: “…Look, if I tell you where another location of strong monsters is, will you leave peacefully?” She proposed.

Celia: “Absolutely!” I quickly agree.

Fin: “…”

Heh, I honestly doubt that I will ever meet a girl who isn’t fun to tease. With the information she gave me, I left their camp behind. Once outside, I tried entering it again, but couldn’t do so. How secure…

Regardless, Fin informed me of a new farming location, which was just a few hours away from my old one. I was pretty strong right now, but I kinda wanted to get stronger. As such, I set off immediately to the new farm.

Many Hours of Walking Later.

Eventually, I ended up in an interesting area. Rather than a forest, it was a volcanic area. The volcano didn’t seem to be very active, but there were flows of lava all around the place. It was very, very hot.

Celia: “So hot…” I complain.

Ria: “Yes, you’re hot, dear.” She said with a laugh.

Celia: “…”

I wish that I also wasn’t so damn teasable… If I wasn’t, then Ria would have to focus her teasing on other women. Wait… would that count as her cheating? If so, have I been cheating on all of my wives!?

Ria: “Is the heat getting to you, Celia? That is a very silly idea.” She denied.

Celia: “…”

Ria: “Unless the teasing is sexual, it shouldn’t count as cheating. It’s not like you want to have sex with every woman you meet. For a Supreme Goddess, you would actually be seen as quite a prude.” She said with a smug tone.

Celia: “Really?” I reply with a head tilt.

Ria: “I have known many higher beings in my time, and one Supreme Goddess that I know. Well… she went to a modern dimension similar to this one, and she had sex with every single human being in it.” She answered.

Celia: “…”

Ria: “What she did was considered tame. After all, it was just one dimension, and she didn’t rape any of them, either. In comparison, you’re like a saint.” She continued.

How can one person be that damn horny!? Please, never let me be horny enough to have sex with well over a few billion women just for fun… Trying to ignore my wives teasing once more, I set off to kill the monsters of this area.

Lots of Killing Later.

Unlike the forest, it would seem that Fin might have wanted to get me killed, or something. The reason why I think this is due to the fact that the monsters here are pretty strong. If I was to make an easy comparison…

Right now, I am around level 100 something, while the monsters in the forest were around level 20-30. As for the monsters in this area, they seem to be around level 120-160, or something like that.

If it wasn’t for my skill, I would have gotten hurt or killed many times over by now. It is only by my skill and battle sense that I can deal with them. The pay off is that I get so much stronger with each kill. Not to mention the amazing items that they tend to drop… Ah, I might be here for a while, just grinding… What fun!
