Chapter 64: Dealing with Fools.

(*Yona’s POV*)

Everyone is a fool… Even those in my Blaire “family” are foolish. From an unknown Demon Lordess, to the daughter of one of the most powerful families in Brestia. Of course, the Velence family, helmed by Victoria, was now more powerful than mine.

But it’s not like I have any pride for my family. They were just fools that I used magic to mind control. Now, several years being with the family, I don’t even have to keep up the mind control. They just see me as their actual real blood related daughter.

A Demon Lordess’s life is a long one, and I was very content with going slow with my life. Victoria, Clarisa, and Selen hid that they were demons very well, and I also hid my true race. But Victoria seemed to want to quickly take over the world.

So, I planned on just waiting for her to do so. Once she did, I would take it out from under her. Well after she’s done all the hard work, too. As a Demon Lordess, all demons, even mixed race ones, have to obey me.

And this was the new path that I chose to go down. I lived believing that everyone else was a fool for me to use as I see fit. When my parents urged me to meet Victoria’s daughter, who just recently woke up from a coma, I assumed that she would be a good foothold over Victoria.

All I had to do was just mind control her, like what I did with the Blaire’s. Upon meeting her, I realized that she wasn’t a mix between a demon and a human. Instead, she was just a human. Which meant that she wasn’t Victoria’s daughter by blood.

Since I had no idea if Victoria truly saw this girl as her daughter, I decided to hold off on controlling her. But soon… not even after knowing her for a few days, I fell completely in love with her. Celia…

Why? My cold heart actually beats for someone? Ridiculous! I was so confused when I realized this. I must just be aroused by her beauty, I thought. But sticking with her more made me realize that it wasn’t just a simple and small attraction that I had to her.

It was like… like we were destined to be together. After knowing her for only five days, I decided to make her mine. To do that, what better to do other than locking Celia up in a tower that only I have access to? With that being the plan, I proposed that we go out to deal with some skeletons.

I heard about them showing up in a town a few days away from the capital city, from my father. Skeletons, huh? Most girls would easily be scared by such things, right? Unfortunately, Celia wasn’t the kind of girl like that…

When we made it to the town, or rather, near it, we were attacked by skeletons. I feared that Celia would get hurt, but she easily dealt with the skeleton that attacked her. It was there that I realized that Celia wasn’t weak at all.

And, I also realized that this was the work of one of my people. As for why Asmerelda decided to add an entire town to her skeleton army, I have no idea. But it vexes me greatly that she would attempt something so close to Brestia.

This kingdom was MY base of operations. She should know that. This town wasn’t it that far away from the capital city, either…

Celia: “Lady Yona, please go find that group. I will do with the skeletons.” She proposed.

Her suggestion, despite me not liking it at all, worked well for me. Asmerelda was surely held up in the mayor’s residence. And I needed answers from her. The problem was that Celia was confident that she could take on such a large army…

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Yona: “But…” I try to reply and convince her otherwise, but she cuts me off.

Celia: “No buts. This is clearly far bigger than we originally thought that it would be. I’ll deal with the skeletons, and once I am done, I will go find you. Okay?” She replied with a serious tone.

Going with her plan of sneaking into the town, I only did this until I was out of her sight. Then I put on a ring of invisibility, and watched her carefully. Much to my annoyance, Celia was far stronger than I thought that she would be.

Normally, this should make me happy. But since she is so strong, kidnapping and holding her captive will be a much harder affair to deal with. With a sigh, I left Celia to have her fun, and I went to go find that damn necromancer, Asmerelda.

*Some Time Later.*

The door to the residence wasn’t even locked at all. Asmerelda was always careless when she thinks that she has the upper hand in any and all situations… Quietly making my way through the house, I ended up at the door of a large room.

Opening it up, Asmerelda was sitting on a couch, with a huge window, she could see Celia fighting her army. The dumb girl didn’t even notice me enter the room… This wasn’t her entire army, and seeing her expression while just sipping a glass of wine, I am sure that she is very happy. Celia will be a tantalizing inclusion to her army, Asmerelda probably thinks.

Yona: “Are you an idiot, Asmerelda?” I ask, holding a knife to her neck.

Asmerelda: “M-Mistress!?” She yelled.

Yona: “That’s right, it’s me, your Mistress. Now then, please tell me why you’re operating on my turf.” I ask, cutting her neck slightly.

Asmerelda: “Your turf? But… this isn’t Brestia?” She replied.

Yona: “Ah, so you really are stupid… This is Brestia, you idiotic necromancer!” I say, hitting hard on the head.

Asmerelda: “Is it?” She asked with an unsure tone.

Yona: “…”

This damn girl… Asmerelda was only ever interested in making new members of her ever-growing army. The damn idiot meant nothing by doing this. She just didn’t realize that this area was part of Brestia. With a sigh, I took out a world map, and pointed out our location to the skeleton brained woman. Soon, Asmerelda realized her mistake.

Asmerelda: “Mistress!!! Please forgive this lowly servant! I didn’t know…” She pleaded while kneeling on the ground.

Yona: “Well, now you do know. Don’t let this happen again.” I reply with a sigh.

Asmerelda: “It won’t, I swear!” She swore.

Yona: “…”

Asmerelda: “Though, Mistress… I find what will be an amazing addition to my army! Look, can you see that young girl? She will surely kill off the rest of my skeletons. Once she does, I will capture her and turn her into a skeleton of my army!” She exclaimed with a happy tone.

Swallowing the urge to break the girl’s neck, I instead punched her hard in the stomach. You see, normally I wouldn’t abuse people I know, or who are under me. But Asmerelda was a masochist. This punch probably made her “finish”, just going by her expression…

Yona: “That girl is Celia Velence, and she will be my wife soon. As such, she is completely off limits. Understand?” I explain with a serious tone.

Asmerelda: “Ah!… I am sorry once again, my Mistress, Demon Lordess Yona!… Shall I call off the skeletons?” She asked nervously.

Yona: “…No. Make them merge. I need to see how strong Celia is. That way, I can better plan for when I capture her.” I reply.

Snapping her fingers, the skeletons merged in various ways. Asmerelda handed me a glass of wine, and I sat down to watch Celia fight off the skeleton army while sipping on it. Now, let us see if Celia is too powerful for me to grasp…

*Hours Later.*

*Smash!*

Throwing my glass of wine onto the ornate floorboards, I was beyond pissed the fuck off… She killed off the improved skeleton army like it was just a damn game to her. Who the hell just climbs up a Skeleton Commander, and kicks their skull!? Even Asmerelda was shocked by what Celia did.

This girl was in a coma for four years? I have to thank whatever caused her to be in a coma… If she was awake for that entire time, she would be even more powerful than she is now. Of course, I am far stronger than her. But capturing Celia has now become an extremely lofty goal of mine…

Yona: “Celia will be here soon, Asmerelda. I will pretend to kill you. Do you have a body double on hand?” I ask.

Asmerelda: “Reporting! This current me is a body double! Please kill away!” She said with a salute.

Yona: “…”

This damn girl, I swear… Just because it is a body double, doesn’t mean that it won’t hurt her… Whatever. Cutting my clothes, and putting various wounds on my body, I did the same to Asmerelda. After all, we needed it to look like I was fighting an “unknown” necromancer this entire time. Will Celia figure it out? Hopefully not…
