Chapter 28: Family Bonding.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Alisa is… the complete opposite of sheltered? It is hard to explain, but it feels like she hasn’t had anything good ever happen to her. Like, she kept herself closed off for a very, very long time. And only now has she opened up her eyes.
She said that she was fine, and used to living in Heaven, but that was a lie. Not a deliberate lie, mind you. It was like Alisa didn’t even realize that she was in such a different kind of dimension.
Alisa: “Mom… I have been to other dimensions, but none of them were like this…” She said with a shocked tone.
Celia: “Well, this dimension is considered to be a mix between sci-fi and modern. And, I guess, fantasy as well? There are many different types of being living here, after all.” I reply.
Amelie: “It is a shame that I can’t experiment on any of them…” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “…”
Alisa: “Why not, Grandma?” She asked with a curious tone.
Amelie: “They aren’t living, so any data I get from my experiments on them will be useless.” She answered with a shrug.
Alisa: “I see.” She replied.
Currently, we’re on our way to a movie theater. Of course, Alisa has never been, so she is very interested. Once there, I was a little confused. It wasn’t a place like the theaters in my dimension at that one time, but instead, it was just a big place. Apparently, you can pick whatever movie you want, and you get an entire theater room to yourself.
The oddest thing was that there wasn’t any payment involved at all. I asked a passerby, and he explained why to me. Entertainment is rarely allowed to be monetized in Heaven. And, most of the pieces of entertainment are from other dimensions.
Thankfully, I highly doubt that companies can sue Heaven for piracy. After looking at a holographic screen for a bit, we decided on a movie. Amelie wanted to watch a kid’s movie, due to Alisa’s presence, but she denied that suggestion with a pout. Instead, we went with a lesbian romance movie. Alisa quickly admitted that she is a lesbian, and that she was highly interested in watching such a movie.
*A Movie Later.*
Alisa: “They…They can just show that kind of content?” She asked with a red face.
Celia: “Huh? Well, the movie was rated R, which means it is for adults. But I doubt that matters in Heaven, as everyone is dead.” I reply with a thinking pose.
Amelie: “Ah, that sex scene was so damn cute!!” She said with a happy tone.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Celia: “Yes, it was. Them getting married at the end makes it even better.” I agree.
Alisa: “Speaking of marriage… Celia, I have a request of you.” She said with a nervous tone.
Celia: “What is your request?” I reply.
Alisa: “I have a wife. Back when I wasn’t so lost, she was my only light. But, due to my mental state and living situation, she eventually decided to leave me.” She explained.
Amelie: “Why bring up your ex wife?” She said with a head tilt.
Alisa: “Not an ex!!! She just said that we should go our separate ways for a while, just until my situation improves. Now that it has, I miss her dearly.” She replied.
Celia: “And where is she right now?” I ask.
Alisa: “That is why I have to make a request. She could be in any dimension. Not to mention, she doesn’t keep the same name and face, so finding her will be very hard to do.” She answered.
Celia: “Well, once our situation is settled, then I will go look for her with you.” I reply while patting her head.
Alisa: “…Thanks.” She replied with a red face.
Aaaa! Despite really being many years old, Alisa is still cute as a button!! Ah, I just realized that I’ve given Mena yet another cute sister to dress up… I am sure that she will be happy! Hm… Imagining Alisa in cute gothic lolita dresses is enough to make me giggle in delight… Having daughters sure is amazing!
Celia: “Alisa, do you want to explore this place some more?” I ask with a curious expression.
Alisa: “Yes, I very much do!” She replied with an excited smile.
Amelie: “Great! Then let us have some fun for a while! I am sure those higher being will get antsy, but if they want our help, then they will need to tell us everything. I hope that they get desperate enough to bribe us somehow…” She said with an evil grin.
Celia: “…”
Alisa: “…”
*A Few Days Later.*
As messed up as it sounds, I would love to take my wives on dates in Heaven. My dungeon did have similar things, but it was hard to get used to any of it to the point where you could enjoy it. Heaven isn’t going to have drastic advancements any time soon.
Both Amelie and Alisa had a lot of fun. I did too. We even went to an amusement park. We are all completely immortal beings, but after playing for a few days, we were all pretty tired. So at the moment, we’re relaxing in our hotel room.
Right now, we’re playing a card game. Alisa seems to really like such games, so I made sure to buy a bunch of them to smuggle into our dimension. Of course, once we get back, that is. To interrupt this family bonding moment, there was a knock at the door.
As I walked to the door, the door opened… I did make sure to lock it, right?… From the opened door appeared Yestila and some other woman. Hm… my guess is that the other woman is the AI chick. Just another person that she’s taken over.
Celia: “I mean, at least you knocked first. But could you two have not waited for a few seconds for me to get the door?” I ask with an annoyed tone with my arms crossed.
Yestila: “…”
Instantly, I felt like something was very, very wrong. Amelie protected Alisa, while the two women tried to kill us. Not wanting to endanger anyone, I broke the room length window, and we all flew away. The two didn’t try to follow us.
Amelie: “What the hell? Did they decide to betray us? This isn’t the kind of bribery that I was hoping for…” She asked with a confused expression.
Alisa: “I wish that I could answer that question, but I have no idea. Ah, right. Thanks for saving me, Grandma.” She said with a smile.
Amelie: “Of course! I know that you’re stronger than me, but I will still protect you.” She replied while rubbing her head.
Celia: “Regardless of the reason, I think that it’s time that we leave.” I reply before holding onto them both, and then taking out the return crystal thingy.
I crushed it, and a flash of light filled my vision. I have no idea what happened, but it isn’t something that I want to care about. Once we get back, I will inform Cimra about what happened. Wait… what was that small thing that grabbed onto me before I crushed that crystal?…
