Chapter 17: Kidnapped!
(Celia’s POV)
I woke up due to someone knocking on my door, and entering without permission. Such a thing happening was very rare in this estate. So I was alert even though I just woke up.
Maid: “Good morning, Lady Celia.” She said with a bow.
How did this maid get inside the estate? Oh, I know that this isn’t one of our maids, as they all know that NO ONE wakes me up in the morning. I get cranky; you see. It’s not that I CAN’T wake up early. I just prefer to wake up on my own.
Celia: “Did something happen?” I ask.
Maid: “…”
Before I could ask anything more, the maid took out something under her outfit, which was seemingly tied to her leg. Using it as it was a spray, she sprayed it on my face. I could have easily reacted and dodged on time, but I didn’t.
Honestly, I wanted to know who would be so brazen to do something like this to me. Who would kidnap the Trestina family’s special child? Such a thing excites me, as you would expect.
Isn’t this kinda redundant, though? I was already asleep. But now, that spray had made me fall asleep once more. I do hope that whoever kidnaps me actually knows what they’re doing. I then fell asleep, unaware of the maid’s intentions.
An Unknown Amount of Time Later.
Man: “So… this is the Trestina family’s little Miss?” He asked.
Celia: “That would be correct. Who are you?” I reply.
Currently, I was chained to the floor. Which isn’t something that has happened to me before. A new experience… How exciting! What wasn’t exciting… was the clear, and recently painted, magic circle under me. What does it do?…
Man: “Heh… So calm. As expected of a seed from that family. Regardless, I will have you exit the stage now.” He said with a laugh.
Celia: “Exit the stage? Are you high?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Man: “…Do you not understand the weight of the situation?” He asked.
Celia: “You are someone who kidnapped me, what of it?” I reply with a nonchalant tone.
Joseph: “I am Joseph, a distant cousin of yours. With you gone, I will be able to claim inheritance of the Trestina family’s properties and wealth.” He explained.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Celia: “And?” I urge him to continue.
Joseph: “So nonchalant… But rest assured, I have no intentions of killing you.” He replied.
Celia: “Then… what do you plan to do with me?” I ask.
Joseph: “Well, killing you would leave far too much evidence. As such, I will be sending you to a different dimension. At that point, it will be up to you to survive. I will have no control over what kind of dimension you would end up in, after all.” He answered.
Celia: “Once again, are you high?” I ask once more.
Joseph: “…”
No, really. What is this dude on? Clearly, he sees the world through his own corrupt values. To Joseph, Solia and Yona, not having an heir, is just a transaction that he can help with. But my parents aren’t like that.
Celia: “You do realize that my parents won’t take this easily, right?” I ask with a serious tone.
Joseph: “Will that matter? Even if I have to wait 20 years until they finish mourning for you, I do not mind.” He replied with an unbothered tone and expression.
Celia: “That is where you’re wrong, Joseph.” I say with a sigh.
Joseph: “Oh? And where am I wrong, Celia? I am very curious.” He said with a laugh.
Celia: “If you send me away, they will do everything in their power to bring me back.” I reply.
Joseph: “So… you’re saying that I should kill you?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “Whatever you do will be pointless, Joseph. If you kill me, then they will do the same. Even if they have to sacrifice the souls of millions of people, they will do so without any regret just to bring me back to life.” I answer with a confident tone.
Joseph: “…”
Celia: “Your viewpoint is clouded. My family well and truly loves me with all their heart. I am not a pawn in some silly little rich people’s game.” I say with a warm smile.
Joseph: “You’re bluffing… Start the ritual!” He ordered.
Celia: “Send me away if you want, I don’t mind.” I say with a shrug.
Joseph: “…”
The mages, I guess they would still be called that in this dimension, all surrounded the magic circle. Soon, it lit up brightly. The magic circle was written well, it seems. I wonder where I will end up? This won’t be the first or last time that I will go to a different dimension. So I am completely unbothered by this happening to me.
Celia: “Joseph, a word of advice.” I say.
Joseph: “Are you going to beg? Save your breath!” He said with a scoff.
Celia: “There is tracking magic on me. You’d be wise to start running, silly cousin of mine.” I explain with an evil grin.
Joseph: “…”
Celia: “I wonder… will they kill you first, or will I return to this dimension before that happens? Honestly, this might be an interesting game.” I say with an excited laugh.
Joseph: “Cancel the ritual!” He ordered.
Mage: “It’s too late to cancel it now!” He replied in a hurried tone.
Joseph: “…Fuck.” He exclaimed, before running away in a panic.
Heh, what a coward. You can tell how much of a piece of shit someone is by how they run away. That man run away like a rapist that was about to be caught by the police, or something. I wonder how he will squeal when my parents get a hold of him…
Mage: “Lady Celia… we’re sorry about this. He forced us to do it.” He said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “That so? Please do explain that to my parents when they get here. I am sure that they will understand, and not torture you all to death.” I say with a laugh.
Mage: “…”
Celia: “Explain to them the magic you’ve cast on me, and they might just let you live as a torso. No promises, though.” I inform, to which he thanked me greatly.
But the time for talking soon ran out. Even without being able to use magic, I could feel the Mana around me stir and tremble. Soon, the world flashed white, and I was then in a teleportation tunnel thingy. Similar to the ones in Hell and the teleportation array. The only thought on my mind was… I wonder if this new dimension will be fun?…
