Chapter 54: Small Girl Gets Power.
(Celia’s POV)
Kami said that she rarely slept more than an hour or two, and for many years. She had to fight tooth and nail to keep that house of hers, and people would try to break in or try to hurt her.
Now that her stomach wasn’t an empty void anymore, sleeping was her next priority. Ria and I didn’t mind, either. Even with the little bit of power that Ria is planning on giving her, Kami needs her body to be in peak condition to not die from it.
Rather than the strength of an adult human, Ria will give Kami the strength of a hundred adult humans. It does sound like a lot, but not when you’re just adding ones on top of ones.
She won’t end up even close to my current power, is what I am trying to explain. Or rather, Kami has already slept for a few days now, and just finished eating her breakfast. Ria was about to give Kami power.
Kami: “How safe is this?” She asked in a curious tone.
Ria: “It is very safe, I assure you. I understand your current limits, and I will not go even one percent above them.” She answered with a confident tone.
Kami: “Look, it’s not that I don’t trust you… just that I did this for someone before, and they exploded into countless pieces…” She replied with a nervous tone.
Celia: “If anything bad happens, then Ria will just rewind time to before you died.” I reply with a shrug.
Kami: “What!? Don’t you realize that messing with time will absolutely piss off God?” She exclaimed in shock.
Ria: “Even if it does, God owes Celia more than one favor. God will surely overlook it.” She said with a laugh.
Kami: “…”
It took a while for Kami to figure out if we were telling the truth or not. But she eventually came to terms with our words. No. God showing up, and giving us her blessing, did not sway Kami’s mind in any way, I swear…
Lots of Power Giving Later.
Kami: “…”
Celia: “What’s wrong?” I ask.
Kami: “Why are you fine with your wife making me moan so much?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Celia: “Wasn’t that normal?” I say with a head tilt.
While Ria was giving Kami power, she looked embarrassed and slightly aroused. Softly moaning every so often. Isn’t that just normal when a higher being gives someone power?
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Kami: “It’s not normal at all! Instead, it’s supposed to be extremely painful…” She replied with an upset tone.
Ria: “I wasn’t trying to seduce you, if that is what you’re thinking.” She denied without being asked.
Kami: “…Then why pleasure me like that?” She asked with a confused tone.
Ria: “Due to my race, I have a power that can turn any pain into pleasure. So tell me, did you prefer the pleasure, or would you have been happier if I just let you endure intense pain?” She asked in reply.
Kami: “Damn… Okay, yes. I’d take the pleasure over the pain any day, thank you.” She said with a sigh.
Yay! My wife wasn’t cheating on me! Instead, she was just trying to help one of our family members. Ria took out a short sword from her storage, and she then handed it to Kami.
Kami seemed to know how to properly use a sword, and she gave it a few swings to get used to it. It was kinda weird seeing a child who knew how to properly use a weapon. Is this what others saw back when I was still in a child body?…
Kami: “This goes beyond cheating…” She said with a sigh after sheathing the sword.
Celia: “What do you mean?” I reply.
Kami: “Just to get this power alone took me fifty years to get. Ria just gave it to me within an hour… Not to mention, but this sword isn’t normal, either.” She explained.
Ria: “That’s right. To help with you gaining power, I gave you a sword that reaps souls.” She admitted.
Celia: “It reaps souls? Is it similar to my dagger?” I ask with a curious tone.
Ria: “No, no. That sword just makes a soul of a killed enemy get absorbed into the user. It isn’t a one hit kill like your dagger.” She answered.
Again, I don’t use that dagger much. Half because it means a lot to Nia and me, and the other half because it is too powerful. And I kinda think that it is disrespectful to use it as a random weapon, rather than a tool for our marriage and to respectfully reap souls.
Kami: “What kind of dagger are you two talking about?” She asked.
Celia: “One of my wives is a Death Goddess, so I have a soul dagger thingy given to me by her.” I explain.
Kami: “…”
Celia: “?”
Kami: “The fact that you aren’t lying somewhat upsets me… You don’t seem to be particularly old, either…” She said with a long sigh.
Ria: “Celia should be around a little over thirty years old.” She informed.
Kami: “That is pretty young… How many wives and children do you even have, Celia?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “Four wives, with one more woman destined to marry me in the future. And four children. All adopted.” I answer with a nonchalant tone.
At my answer, Kami seemed at a loss for words. Laying back onto the couch, she rubbed her head, probably trying to process what I’ve told her. Even a being as long lived and experience as her, even Kami seems to be shocked by the life I’ve lived… Eh, her reaction was cute, so everything is fine.
Kami: “Alisa, bless her heart, is a very difficult girl to take care of. Only now do I realize why you were able to accept her into your family…” She said with a groan.
Ria: “Compared to the daughter that Celia adopted before meeting Alisa, she wasn’t that difficult at all.” She said with a giggle.
Kami: “I feel like I will be upset to hear the answer, but how was the other one more difficult?” She reluctantly asked.
Ria: “Nina was the daughter of the deceased void. She had some trouble accepting Celia as her mother, but her walls soon fell. On the contrary, Alisa’s walls fell faster.” She answered.
Kami: “…”
Celia: “Ria… you’re making me miss my other daughters.” I say with a pout.
Ria: “If you miss them, then we should hurry up and destroy those kingdoms already. The sooner we do, the faster that we can move on to a different dimension, so that we can save another one of our daughters.” She said with a stern tone.
Celia: “…”
Why must I be scolded by my own wife? Eh, I don’t really think it was her scolding me, I am just being a petty child. Regardless, she is right. I have spent over five years in this dimension. Though, to be fair to me, I was trying to honor the choices of Alisa. Destroying the rest of the kingdoms should take much longer, right?…
