Chapter 29: Emergency Help.
(Celia’s POV)
Those people from before had shot at me without restraint, and since this was a zombie apocalypse, I was confused by their actions. But now, I understand why they didn’t find it too dangerous of an action.
By the time that I found this city, the night had long since fallen. With me being so powerful, seeing in the dark was easy as pie. The darkness was basically daytime to me; you see. That is, natural darkness. Magical darkness is wholly different…
Sirens!
Faith: “Are you going to save that city?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “I might as well.” I answer.
Though dark out, the city still had lights shining in the night. With their lights, they were able to notice the large horde of zombies that were running at them. Since the zombies are out right now, it is easy to assume that they only come out at night.
Thud!
A rain of a terror was brought down upon the horde. Using ice magic, I had pierced the zombies into nothing. With just a flick of my wrist, those zombies, which were in a group of at least twenty thousand, were instantly turned into a red, cold mist.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Celia: “Ah… did I do too much?” I ask with an embarrassed tone.
Faith: “…”
I said that out loud, actually. These zombies were just basic undead, and none were evolved. As such, I could have used even far less powerful and more simple magic to take them all out. Or, at least, I thought that they were…
Faith: “Wow…” She expressed in shock.
They were mist, but somehow the undead had… regenerated completely. How the heck am I supposed to kill them permanently? Wait! If they can do this, doesn’t that mean that, instead of a virus, these zombies are actually magic zombies???
Squish!
Regardless of why they can’t die twice, I bundled them up into a large flesh ball. Killing them is pointless, so I just flung them off of the planet. Bye-bye, zombies! I hope that you have fun in deep, deep space!
Faith: “Did you think that this method will work?” She asked.
Celia: “Probably? I mean, what can they do? They might be able to regenerate from nothing, but I doubt that they can teleport back to this planet.” I reply with a mind shrug.
Faith: “Let’s just hope that is the case… Why didn’t you inspect them? Perhaps we could have figured out a real way to kill them from doing so.” She replied.
Celia: “Ah… I forgot.” I answer with an embarrassed tone.
Faith: “…”
I really did, okay? Inspecting things is so useless these days… And besides, there are surely more zombies out and about in this dimension. I’ll just inspect the next batch that rears their ugly, rotting heads.
Faith: “Enough jokes. Go visit that city now. Maybe you’ll find one of your family members, or at least some player to kill and or recruit inside…” She ordered with a bored tone.
That was my plan. After all, if I didn’t wish to visit this city, why would I bother to save them? I mean, even if I wasn’t going to visit, I would have probably still saved them…
