Chapter 41: The Path Out of Hell, is Paved with Good Intentions.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Rather than free her, why don’t I just torture her? Sexually, I mean. Wait… what the fuck? Why would I even think this? Something is wrong with me… With no other option, I took out the knife that Solia gifted me, and I stabbed myself in the thigh.
A very drastic choice, I know, but now I was back in control of my thoughts and my body. I quickly used healing magic to seal up my self-inflicted wound, then I helped Yeeva out of her restraints.
Yeeva: “Celia, I am very proud of you.” She said with a bright smile.
Celia: “Why is that?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Yeeva: “You wanted to assault me, yes?” She asked.
Celia: “…”
Yeeva: “There is no need to feel bad, as you stopped yourself. Hell is an endless feedback loop of sin. Even if the purest soul stays in it for a while, they will fall to sin.” She explained.
Velta: “Yeeva’s words are vague. Celia, basically, your urges or desires are harder to resist while in Hell. I don’t recommend stabbing yourself to snap out of it. Instead, you should think of your wives.” She explained.
Celia: “Noted. But I had to do that, as I was super close to assaulting Yeeva.” I say with a sigh.
Yeeva: “Now then, shall I guide you out of this layer?” She proposed.
Celia: “Just this layer?” I reply with a confused tone.
Velta: “Oh, she said even more lies, huh? You will need a guide on each layer.” She said with a laugh.
Yeeva: “I can’t help it! I am close to an angel. Being vague is part of our DNA.” She said with a pout.
Celia: “Funny, I guess… Anyway, can we please leave now? This place reeks of sex, and it’s getting to me again.” I ask with a pleading tone.
With my pleading, Yeeva quickly guided me out of the city of sin. To get out of this layer, she said that we just have to walk in one direction for a while, so we did just that.
Along the way, we came across that stupidly powerful demon again. No. I cannot use Nia and I’s bond knife to kill it. I’ve tested it out before, and it only works on beings weaker than me. If it worked on everything, you’d bet your ass that I’d just go on a killing spree to get a fuck ton of experience points.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
Ruina: “You claim to be overpowered, Celia, but in reality, you’re just more lucky than others. There are many beings in existence that could easily deal with you.” She advised.
Celia: “Thanks for the vote of confidence!” I say with a joking tone.
Ruina: “Actually, it was a vote of no confidence.” She said with a laugh.
Celia: “…”
Oddly, rather than avoid the demon, Yeeva approached it. Girl, what the hell are you doing!? That demon is miles stronger than you!
Yeeva: “Hey, Gru, how’s it going?” She asked.
Gru: “Me? I’m fine, and so are you, it seems. Not to be rude, but that unknown woman next to you must have been the one to help you get your ring back, right?” She assumed.
Celia: “…”
Yeeva: “That’s correct. As you can see, she is a living being. She got trapped here.” She replied.
Yeeva! Are you trying to get me killed!? I thought that I was a prized item, with an actual vessel and all? Though… this Gru fellow, doesn’t seem to want to kill me…
Gru: “Ah, that makes sense. Do be careful, young lady. I might be sane and nice, and I won’t go after your vessel, but others won’t be so kind. Regardless, Yeeva, the exit is that way at the moment.” She advised while pointing in a specific direction.
Yeeva: “Thanks! That’s exactly why I came to see you.” She said with a giggle.
Okay… I need to make sure not to judge a book by its cover… I was wrong about Gru and wrong about Velta. Luckily, I didn’t do anything that I would regret. But I should be more careful in the future.
After they chatted some more, we went off in the direction that Gru pointed us in. I just hope that it won’t take forever…
Yeeva: “Celia, you see, usually with a Hell guide, you can find the exit by just walking. But it took too long this time, so I had to ask the captain of this layer for its current whereabouts.” She explained while we continued to walk.
Celia: “I see. You know, that demon is super powerful.” I reply.
Yeeva: “I am aware. She has almost finished her sentence here in Hell, so she will be free to reincarnate soon enough. Gru has been here a long time, so of course she is very powerful.” She replied.
Velta, Yeeva, and I all chatted while we walked. Around an hour later, we came across a clean and pure white door. Was this the exit? Kinda odd… It reminds me of a certain game… What was its name again? It was kingdom something… Ah well. Whatever it was called, I have long since forgotten.
Yeeva: “This is the exit for this layer, Celia. I am very sorry for misleading you so many times. Don’t worry, you should be able to find a city or admin building in each layer. Your power shouldn’t be a problem on the higher levels.” She explained.
Velta: “I ended up here at the lowest layer, so I am curious about how the higher layers look like.” She said with an excited tone.
Celia: “It’s fine, and Velta, should you really be excited? This is Hell!” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Velta: “Hell is very boring, you need to make your own fun most of the time. So, yes. I am very excited.” She replied.
Yeeva then opened up the door for me, and I went through it. It wasn’t just an exit leading directly to a different layer. It was more like those magical tunnel loading screens that some games have. Actually, it was very similar to that teleportation array.
I say that, because… It was fucking sickening! I felt all tossed around, and I could swear that I was very close to throwing up… Please, please! Hurry the fuck up! How long will this stupid tunnel even go for? Ah… I am going to be so sick by the end of this…
