Chapter 19: People!
(Celia’s POV)
The more that I would move, the faster the rot would set in. It was very terrifying and painful to have your flesh rot while you’re still very much alive. The pain and rot were more than enough to keep me glued to this very spot.
My Nano Machines were still surely processing all of my memories. Since then, it has only been around thirty minutes from when I killed the rot wyvern. Luckily, apart from where I got blood on, the rot didn’t progress up my arm.
Demon Woman: “A human? Regardless, I must thank you greatly for killing that rot wyvern. It had destroyed a large portion of our land, and only now did we get the forces needed to kill it.” She said with a thankful tone.
Behind the cute demon woman with horns, who mostly looked human, was about an army of a few hundred demons. Not the Hell kind, mind you. Just the ones that look human, but with demon features. Such as horns and wings, etc.
Celia: “Eh, it was an impulse. Nothing worth praising me over.” I reply.
Demon Woman: “I will still praise you. Now… as for your arm. I am sorry, but if you wish to live, you need to cut it off.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “Oh.” I reply with an unbothered tone and expression.
Again, I am literally a Supreme Goddess. Going without an arm for a while wouldn’t be that bad for me.
Nano Machines: “Celia, we can heal the arm back within a few months.” She informed.
Celia: “A few months? If it will be disgusting… then no thanks!” I deny in my head.
Nano Machine: “It won’t be disgusting! We can save up the needed cells, nerves, etc. And then regenerate the arm while you sleep. But to do this will take a few months.” She explained with a hurried tone.
Just a few months without an arm? That wouldn’t be that bad, either. And on top of that, I have no idea if I will find a faster solution within this dimension. But I will need to chop off my arm by now. The rot, and me inhaling so much smoke, will soon kill me.
Celia: “Can I have a sword of yours as a sacrifice?” I ask.
Demon Woman: “Sacrifice?” She replied with a head tilt.
Celia: “Once you use your blade on rot magic, it would be best to throw it away. Unless you wish to inflict rot upon anything that you attack.” I explain.
Demon Woman: “Ah, that’s right… Sorry, I had forgotten about that. One of you, give the woman your sword.” She ordered with a snap of her fingers.
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
Celia: “Thank you.” I reply with a smile after taking hold of the sword.
In one swift movement, I cut off my arm. Cutting off just the rotted part would leave rot on me. So I had to cut off an unaffected portion of my arm as well. It hurt, but it wasn’t the worse pain that I have ever been through. As such, I didn’t really show much of a reaction to chopping off a part of my body.
Demon Woman: “…”
The woman, probably from seeing me be nonchalant about cutting off my own arm, then laughed heartily. With another snap of her fingers, the woman ordered some of her soldiers to tend to my wounds.
Handing me a healing potion, as well as covering up the wound in bandages. The bleeding then stopped, and so did the pain. Now, the only thing left was just a bandaged stump that used to house one of my arms.
Raila: “My name is Princess Raila. What is yours, brave warrior?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “Celia. It is nice to meet you, Raila.” I answer.
Raila: “What are you doing in this land?” She asked.
Celia: “Someone sent me here to this dimension to get rid of me. There is where I ended up at.” I answer, not bothering to hide the truth at all.
Raila: “That so? How unlucky…” She replied.
Celia: “Yes, very. Though I…wow…” I say in surprise.
Raila: “Caught you, are you okay?” She asked with a concerned tone.
While walking closer toward the woman, I ended up falling forward. The reason this happened was obvious. So I will not insult your intelligence by explaining why this ended up happening. I will explain the woman’s breasts were nice to fall face first in… Ah! I am a married woman! I can’t be thinking about things like this!!!
Celia: “Thanks… I… well, apart from inhaling too much smoke and now losing a lot of blood, I am fine.” I answer with a forced smile.
Raila: “Ah! I forgot that humans are far weaker than our kind!… Of course this smoke and blood loss would be too much for you… Please, allow me to carry you out of this area.” She proposed.
Celia: “I would much appreciate it, Raila.” I agree.
Soon, the woman picked me up in a princess carry. Being careful to not hurt my new arm stump, she carried me along with her army that followed her. I wonder how wide of an area of destruction that wyvern caused?
Celia: “How did that wyvern cause such chaos?” I ask with a curious tone.
Raila: “That rot wyvern was just a lost thrall of a Rot Dragon. The Rot Dragon was what destroyed this land, not the wyvern.” She answered.
Celia: “What happened to the Rot Dragon?” I reply.
Raila: “It flew away. As for where it went… I have no idea. It seems to have no alliance, attacking our demon kind, the elves, and the humans alike. From the records, which span a few hundred years, the beast is said to be mindless.” She explained.
Celia: “A mindless dragon? How odd… To think that such a regal and long lived being would end up in that kind of horrible state…” I reply with a sad tone.
Raila: “Yes, it is very regrettable. But there isn’t anything that we can do about it. Just dealing with one Rot Wyvern requires even us demons to put together a small army. Fighting off a dragon is a pipedream.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Has no one tried to put the Rot Dragon out of its misery?” I ask.
Raila: “There have been many attempts to do so, but none were even close to being successful. It is actually an Ancient Rot Dragon, so it is even stronger than a normal one.” She answered.
Celia: “An Ancient Rot Dragon? Damn… only a God, Goddess, or another Ancient Dragon would be the bare-minimum needed to kill it.” I say with a confident tone.
Raila: “That is actually the plan. To just wait for one of the other Ancient Dragons to come deal with it. That is… if there even are any other Ancient Dragons left alive…” She said with a tone of defeat.
Celia: “…”
Raila: “You should get some rest, Celia. At most, it will take a few hours before we are out of this destroyed region.” She advised.
Celia: “Okay, thanks for carrying me.” I reply with a thankful tone.
With the pain that was still somewhat there, the blood loss, and the smoke, it wasn’t hard for me to fall asleep. I know that I asked for excitement, but not this kind. Let’s just ignore that, even with my arm now missing, I am having fun…
