Chapter 53: A war Without my Wife.
(*Lia’s POV*)
It was all my fault… I was beyond stressed out. Everyone else was making great strides in the war while I was still miles behind. Like always, my loving wife, Celia, came to my rescue. She knows that I can handle myself, but I still loved it when she would help me out from time to time.
I thought that it would just be a simple request, deal with the powerful demon that the enemy possessed. It was too strong for me to handle, even with my immortal body, but it would be a piece of cake for someone as power as Celia to deal with.
It hasn’t been long enough for me to get as strong as the rest of our family. Even Mena was stronger than me in some aspects. Even still, I did not feel jealous, or hate them for being stronger than me. Solia took time out of her day to train me, and that is something that I will always thank her for.
Truly, I should have trained far harder… If I did, I wouldn’t have had to ask Celia for help. The demon was nothing for Celia, my soldiers near Celia and the demon’s battlefield told me that much. The problem was that she was stuck in a teleportation circle…
Though, hating myself wouldn’t be good. Celia would be upset if I did. If there is one thing that I hate more than being apart from my dear wife, it is making her sad…
Not long after that, Ria informed us all of what happened… Celia was teleported to Hell! All of us were willing to lose this war, just to save her, but Ria wouldn’t allow it. For us to go to Hell, we would need to die, and also be sinners.
She wouldn’t let us die, and neither of us had sinned enough to land our souls in Hell when we die. Nia could travel back and forth from Hell, but the current administrator of Hell blocked all Death Gods and Goddesses from entering it, for some unknown reason.
The war slowed down, as most of us were greatly depressed by Celia’s absence. Without her, our lives truly felt empty, or at the very least, felt like something was missing. It took a week for us to calm down.
Celia will certainly be in Hell for a while, as it takes a lot of effort to leave such a place. While she is suffering while trying to escape Hell, we decided to do our part.
Which was simply just finishing this war before she returns home. Celia will surely need a lot of rest after her journey through Hell, and wartime isn’t a time where you can rest easily. Knowing Celia, she would come back, and she will want to quickly rejoin the war effort without even bothering to take a break. That wasn’t something that we wanted.

Lia: “Are you sure about this, Mena?” I ask with a concerned tone.
Mena: “Your concern makes me happy, Mom. But yes, I will do this.” She replied with a confident tone.
Currently, I was in a carriage with Mena. I was traveling with her to a new battlefield. You see, Celia was a major key part of our war plan. Without Celia, we were down a very powerful commander. Mena had chosen to fill in Celia’s missing heavy shoes.
Lia: “Alright… Please call any one of us if you need help, dear.” I say with a smile while patting her cute little head.
Mena: “Of course, Mom. I just recently got a second try at life, I won’t go waste it due to pride.” She replied.
Mena… my dear daughter. At first, I thought that Celia was crazy for adopting Mena as her daughter. But that feeling quickly faded. Despite being an adult, Mena still needed parents. Oddly, Nia, Celia, and I all made good mothers.
What’s more, is that I heavily enjoyed being her mother. In no time, I quickly soon saw Mena as my own daughter. No. She IS my daughter. That is just a true fact of her life.
As you would expect, sending my daughter off to be a commander in a war was a very hard decision to make. Though, it was her decision to make, she just asked Nia and I for permission to do so first.
Mena: “I promise that I will do my best, Mom. I want Celia to come home to a peaceful empire.” She said with a confident tone.
Empire, huh? I guess that it will be an empire by the end of this war… Soon, Evaclearian, Tuseoun, and Eloateilian will be the only kingdoms left on this continent. Of course, with Evaclearian, our kingdom, being the biggest one by miles.
I helped my daughter out of the carriage and then waved goodbye to her. She was given some commander training by Ria and Yona, so she should be fine. As for why we didn’t fly here, the reason was very simple.
Amora went all out, and flying on the battlefield is a bad idea. Like something out of those modern military movies in Celia’s dungeon, the air was controlled by every other kingdom. If you flew up in the air, you would be almost instantly bombarded by magic spells.
Sure, Ria, Yona, and Solia could easily block the attacks, but it basically signaled our plans to the enemy. At least with a carriage, we would be silent and covert. Especially with our kingdoms carriages. Said carriages didn’t even use horses and were silent.
Instead of horses, each carriage had an engine in them. Said engine was powered by a lighting Mana Crystal. The carriages had a private passenger room and a driver’s room.
In Celia’s old era, such a vehicle would be called a car. Fortunately for the more battle crazed of our family, our military was powerful enough, where we didn’t need to field such vehicles like tanks. If we did, this war would quickly turn into a modern one…
This world isn’t ready for such a thing just yet. Honestly, I am very proud of Celia for not wanting to spread these major advancements across the entire world. In reality, the one that is currently doing that is clearly Yona. Not like we mind, as she is being responsible with it as well.
With a sigh, I continued to wait in my carriage as I travel to my next battlefield. There are still many kingdoms that we have yet to conquer, but we should be able to do so before Celia gets back. I hope…
