Chapter 45: Meeting the Leader.

(Celia’s POV)

A woman, who looked to be in her early 20s, barged into the restaurant. Rather than a normal looking woman, she was clearly a noble of some kind. I am sure that this is confusing, and I will explain it later… For now, I shall have my fun!

Woman: “What happened here?” She asked with an angry tone.

Bandit A: “…”

Bandit B: “My La…” He was about to say, but Bandit A elbowed his stomach.

Ah, that slip is all I needed to hear. These aren’t bandits. Instead, they’re knights under this woman. Maybe she thought that running the biggest crime organization was a good idea? I am interested in her thinking process…

Woman: “…”

Celia: “Hello, your men wanted to rob me, but I said no in reply.” I explain.

Woman: “So you decided to humiliate them?” She asked.

Celia: “I planned on beating them up. Them deciding to stay and let me beat them up for hours upon hours on end, was fully their decision, not mine.” I reply with a shrug.

Woman: “You clearly aren’t a native of this land… And my men failed in doing their jobs.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “I would say so, yes.” I agree.

Heh… I could tell that this woman had to deal with a lot of things day by day. If it wasn’t for the various potions that exist in this new world, I am sure that she would have large, grey bags under both of her eyes.

Bandit A: “What should we have done differently?” He asked with a sulking tone.

Woman: “Idiots… This happens with almost every newcomer.” She said with another sigh.

Bandit B: “That’s true, but we always beat them up in the end!” He said in defense.

Woman: “Yeah, but that would only work for so long. Which was why I ORDERED you all to let the newcomers go, instead of trying to rob them!” She scolded with an angry tone.

Bandit A: “…”

Bandit B: “…”

It should be mentioned, but it wasn’t like any of these knights were old men. Instead, they were all in the early twenties, if not some of them still in their teens. Which is another reason why I decided to not kill them.

Woman: “Surely, you understand that this woman was just playing with you this entire time, right?” She asked with her arms crossed.

Bandit A: “…”

Bandit B: “…”

Woman: “She could have easily killed you all without even batting an eye. A child could tell that by just looking at her! That armor isn’t something that someone can forge, fools!” She exclaimed in anger.

Huh? My armor was special? Surely not… The monsters in that volcanic area weren’t anything special, and the people of this world shouldn’t be that weak. After all this time, they haven’t gotten strong enough to deal with those weaklings?…

Waitress: “Does this mean that I win the bet?” She asked, butting into the conversation.

Celia: “I guess? I mean, I did win.” I reply with an unsure tone.

Waitress: “Great! Everyone, please pay up. And the winners, please come get your earnings! As for me, I am pocketing an amazing profit, and quitting this job!” She happily exclaimed.

Celia: “…”

Good for her… Hey! Where is my coin for this fight!? Fuck… she really did just wink because I was making her a lot of coin… I feel used!!! Eh, I already got out my frustration by beating up these knights in disguise for many hours.

Woman: “Look, could you please forgive them?” She pleaded.

Celia: “Forgive them? I don’t really mind, as I did have some fun. Though they did, in fact, waste a lot of my time.” I reply with a thinking pose.

Woman: “Who started the fight?” She asked.

Celia: “That one did.” I answer while pointing out Bandit A.

Woman: “I see… If you wish, I will execute him right now.” She proposed.

Celia: “Execute? Girl, if I wanted him dead, I would have killed him hours ago.” I deny with a giggle.

Woman: “Then… what do you want?” She asked with a nervous expression on her cute face.

Celia: “I want him to get a tattoo on a visible spot of his body. Ah, I am not evil, so let’s exclude his face as a potential spot for it.” I answer.

Bandit A: “Just a tattoo? What will it be?” He asked with a curious tone.

Celia: “I want it to say, “Bandit A”, okay?” I reply with a smug tone.

Bandit A: “…”

Celia will always get her revenge! Especially if it is petty revenge! Usually it is petty revenge… Real revenge is kinda just too depressing for me to bother with. Like with those higher beings from before. I have completely forgotten about wanting to kill them in various, interesting, and very blood ways. I should put that back on my to-do list…

Woman: “What a funny idea for a tattoo and name… It reminds me of a joke that my grandmother would have made.” She said with a laugh.

The owner of the restaurant showed up, seemingly confused as the head waitress had vanished into thin air. The woman paid for the damages to the restaurant, and the owner happily accept her coins. He will probably ALSO accept the insurance money as well. What a scamp!

Leaving the restaurant, I was then led to a carriage. The outside was ugly, almost looked like it could collapse with just a single tap of your fingers. But the inside was pristine, and looked like a carriage that some royal noble would drive around in, without even noticing its glamor and price.

Fetichia: “You don’t seem like a normal person, so I will be blunt. I am Princess Fetichia Alburn, and I need your help.” She said with a bow.

A princess, huh? Currently, I was sitting in her carriage, with the girl herself having her head down in a bow. Of course, as it would seem that Fetichia wants to overthrow this kingdom, I am willing to help her.

She didn’t say that, but I kinda guess what she wants of me. Why else would she be willing to off one of her own knights just to appease me? Though, I am far too tired to do something as dangerous as agreeing to such a thing at the moment…

Celia: “Your men have really worn me out, Fetichia. Ask me again after I take a nap.” I reply with a yawn.

Fetichia: “Ah, my apologies… Please rest. This carriage will take us to one of my hideouts. I’ll wake you up when we get there.” She replied with a slightly flustered tone.

Fetichia was quite cute, looking like an ideal, or rather, stereotypical noble fantasy princess. Her hair was a golden blonde, and how she was able to sneak around this kingdom was surely a feat of some kind… Regardless, I need to sleep. And when I wake up, I will do that explaining that I mentioned earlier. Don’t be surprised, people in my head, okay?…
