Chapter 26: This Part is Just Cruel!
(Celia’s POV)
Since we had the cheat that is Ria with us, there wasn’t that big of a shock this time. We were able to say goodbye, which helped our mentalities greatly.
Faith: “Does this remind you of home?” She jokingly asked.
Celia: “Somewhat…” I reply with a sigh.
The game was actually being decently original this time. Well, as original as an apocalyptic world gets, that is. And, yeah, that is what was around me.
Dead Silence.
A destroy world, which didn’t seem to hold any life whatsoever. By this point in the game, Gods and Goddesses should be appearing. But, they’re still far weaker than me, so I should be able to detect them.
Celia: “…”
“Should” is the key word here, as I could sense anyone around at all. Did the game bug out? Looking at my Status, everything seemed to be perfectly fine…

Faith: “Since Gods and Goddess are in the game now, things like divine sense are blocked, Celia. You will just have to do things the old fashion way.” She informed.
Celia: “How many players should I expect?” I ask with a curious tone.
Faith: “It depends on how the game goes, but there should be, at max, 10,000 players per dimension for this part of the game.” She answered.
Celia: “10,000? Isn’t that a lot?” I reply with a confused tone.
Faith: “Typically, by this point in the game, at least a few billion players are left. Considering that you lifted a lot of them to a nicer universe, the number is lower than that. But the game still has many more parts to it.” She explained.
Damn… I was, vainly, hoping that the game didn’t have much left for us to go through, but it seems that isn’t the case. Which is, granted, sorta good for me. After all, I haven’t found all of my family members yet.
Celia: “Thanks for the info.” I say with a thankful tone.
Faith: “No, thank you. Since I have this information, I kinda feel like I am actually in the game as well. It is pretty fun!” She happily exclaimed.
Happiness? I mean, I won’t judge her for it. With how she is stuck in my soul, without a physical body to speak of, I am glad that she can find some joy in her existence.
My situation wasn’t good at all, though… I did bring a lot of food with me that I kept in my storage magic, as is my habit. But this dimension was dead as can be. The buildings were rotted, covered in greenery, or just crumbled into dust.
There wasn’t really any safe place to camp out in, nor was there a single interesting landmark to head to. What was the point of a place like this?
Whip!
Easily dodging in time, a bullet had missed my head. A gun? Hm… why would a player, when each of them should be a Higher Being now, bother with firearms? Ah, I see. Like the first dimension of this game, this dimension was a real one…
