Chapter 80: Sneaking.
(*Celia’s POV*)
No, really. How the hell will I escape this tent? The only exit is guarded by maids, and Mar is very much a strong person. Since I haven’t been able to train or level up at all for the past few years, I am still weak. Did Yona plan for me to be so weak?…
Ah! I am so sorry, Nia! I will have to misuse the soul dagger that you bestowed upon me… But it will be for a good cause, I swear! Taking out my dagger from my soul, I used it to cut a small, Celia sized hole into the back of the tent, to which I crawled through it.
Once outside, I was hit with a flash of very cold air. Ah, so the tent has heating inside it? I didn’t notice at first, as flying through the cold air made it cooler by a lot. When I went into the tent, I only felt that it was somewhat warm. Now I know that it was actually pretty toasty inside…
Still trying to be sneak despite being invisible, I made my way around the camp. Using that unexplained power, I find my way to where Yona was at. The tent was huge, and the front of it was open. Sneaking by the guards, I got into the tent with ease.
Yona: “So the plan is as follows… We will kill Victoria and the rest of them.” She said with a serious tone.
Asmerelda: “I do not mind adding their bones to my army. But wouldn’t your dear wife, Celia, be upset if you kill them?” She asked.
Yona: “She will be upset for sure. In fact, she might even hate me if I go through with this.” She replied with a grim tone.
Asmerelda: “…”
Yona: “That is why she must stay here in the camp.” She said with a sigh.
Asmerelda: “Isn’t there a way that you can not have to kill them? From what we’ve heard, Celia had a good relationship with Victoria, Selen, and Clarisa.” She said with a thinking pose.
Yona: “And that is where the problem lies. Celia wouldn’t help them win against me, but she wouldn’t accept me killing them, either.” She denied.
What the fuck? Yona is actually planning on killing them!? I can’t let that happen… I didn’t know them for long, but at the very least, Victoria is one of my newer mothers. And Selen and Clarisa are my friends…
Yona: “This is the main plan. But we shall only go through with this if Celia doesn’t agree to the other one.” She said with a serious tone.
Asmerelda: “What’s the other plan?” She asked.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
Celia: “Yes, what is this grand plan of yours that you will have to convince me of, Yona?” I ask, undoing my invisibility next to Yona.
Asmerelda: “…”
Yona: “…”
Hm… good reactions. It looks like they never realized that I could do such a thing. This is great! It is always good to have another ace up my sleeve that they didn’t know about. It also gives more weight to my staying in Yona’s castle. After all, if I could do this, why haven’t I left yet?
Yona: “You can go invisible? But… there are wards set up to block such magic.” She said with a confused tone.
Celia: “It isn’t magic per se, well, it is. But it is different.” I reply.
Yona: “What is it? Is it anything that I can learn?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “Nope, sorry. It is a blessing from the Elves from my original dimension.” I reply.
Yona: “You were blessed by the Elves? They’re a very rare people in this dimension…” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Anyway, what is it that you wanted to ask of me?” I ask.
Yona: “…”
Taking my hand, Yona led me out of the tent. Wordlessly, we walked back to the tent that I easily escaped from. Mar had a shocked look on her face, which I found to be very pleasing to see.
Mar: “Mistress…I… we have no idea how she could have escaped.” She said with a bow.
Maid: “Yes! The tent should have soul alarm magic on it, so if she cut the tent, then it would have alerted us. She must have teleported somehow!” She said, also bowing down.
Yona: “Besides the invisibility, how did you escape, Celia?” She asked, ignoring their excuses.
Celia: “You didn’t leave me with a weapon, but you seem to have forgotten about my soul dagger. I probably destroyed that soul alarm magic, or whatever it was called, by accident.” I reply with a shrug.
Maid: “…”
Mar: “…”
Yona: “…”
With a sigh, Yona and I went into the tent once more. Once again, she gestured for me to sit down, and she sat down on the opposite couch. The mood was awkward and silent as all hell…
Yona: “You… you could have easily left at any point, Celia…” She said with a nervous tone.
Celia: “Huh? What do you mean?” I say with a head tilt.
Yona: “I’m sorry… None of us truly believed that you stayed at the castle of your own free will. But with that magic of yours, you could have left the castle with ease, and could have left the continent as well. I couldn’t, and can‘t, detect you at all while you were invisible just now.” She said explained with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “Yona… I rarely lie to people I care about.” I say with a shrug.
Yona: “…”
Celia: “You’re so silly. Why would I even run from you? Do you know… I actually came to this dimension for you.” I say with a smile.
Yona: “You…” She tried to say something more, but I cut her off.
Celia: “I will tell you the reason after this war is finished, Yona. I’ve waited long enough for you to know the answer, but I kept silent this entire time.” I say with a sigh.
Yona: “…”
Celia: “You can’t run from this any longer. I have sacrificed more than 7 years in this dimension, all for you. The reason is simple, but when you hear it, it might hurt a lot. Which is why I was willing to wait so long.” I say with a serious tone.
Yona was clearly panicking. It wasn’t the whole reason why I came to this dimension, but the realization that I came here for her must be very shocking. It hurts me to tell her this, but the time to leave this dimension is soon approaching.
Celia: “Yona, you can think about this some other time. What is your plan for me?” I ask.
Yona: “…I need you to betray Victoria and the other two. This way, they won’t have to be killed.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “…”
Be…betray them? Have… have I ever betrayed anyone before? I don’t think that I have, let alone betray someone that I care about. Shit… what is she going to ask of me, being so damn serious?…
