Chapter 56: Kidnapped Again!?
(*Celia’s POV*)
While sitting in the carriage, I didn’t really talk much at all. You know, because I can’t? I think that Clarisa and Selen are talking to each other, but I can’t hear them. You know, because I am deaf now?
Okay, that joke is getting old… Despite there being two seats on this carriage, I was sitting in between Clarisa and Selen. Due to my poor vision, it was decided that I would also stick close to them. Actually, there is almost always someone near me these days.
Celia: “Are we going to the guild place so that I can join?” I write on Selen’s hand.
Selen: “No. You don’t need to join up, but we are going to the guild. We can just take you to places where monsters are.” She wrote back.
Oh, cool. Then what was the point of the original plan of joining up with the guild? Well, I guess I don’t need to deal with Coltern anymore, and I am not really fit to join Clarisa’s and Selen’s group at the moment.
Rather than an adventure, this is just a weird way to try and heal my body. Speaking of my body, due to being depressed about it, Selen and the other two made me promise to not check my Status out. But now I am curious…
Celia: “Can I check out my Status?” I write.
Selen: “…Sure.” She wrote back.
Wait… why did I even need permission from anyone to check out my own Status!? Fuck… I need to fix this part of me as soon as possible. Otherwise, I might end up hurt again like I am now…

Ah, so my Status is back to normal, but my soul is still damaged. Which would explain why I am still deaf and slightly blind… Oh, well. At the bare minimum, evolving will surely heal my soul. Right?… After a carriage ride of a few hours, the carriage stopped.
Clarisa: “We’re going to go grab a quest to take on. Please sit here and wait.” She wrote on my hand.
Celia: “Okay. Stay safe.” I write back.
Seeing them love the carriage, I slumped down onto the seat. I keep up a good face, but this situation is pretty depressing to me. It pisses me off beyond belief that I have fewer default capabilities than when I was a fucking cell.
From my short vision, I could see most of the carriage. As I was thinking, I saw the door to the carriage open up. But it wasn’t Selen or Clarisa that entered the carriage. Who entered was a beautiful woman with long silver hair. Her eyes were silver as well.
The woman tried talking to me, and it seemed that she didn’t realize that I couldn’t talk. The carriage started moving, which was worrying… Oh, well. Selen and Clarisa will surely come save me. Eventually…
Getting up from my seat, I sat down next to the unknown woman. I tried grabbing her hand, but she was confused and took it away. With a pout, I motioned to my neck, to show that I couldn’t speak, and then I motioned to my ears to show that I was deaf. Only then did the woman give me her hand.
Celia: “What’s your name? Mine is Celia.” I write.
Grace: “My name is Grace Verma. Child, are you not worried about me kidnapping you?” She wrote on my hand.
Celia: “Does it matter? Selen and Clarisa will find me soon enough. I am far more interested in you, Grace.” I write back.
Grace: “Child… do you not know who I am?” She wrote.
Celia: “Should I? I’ve been in a coma for four years, and before that, I only just got into this kingdom before falling into it. If you’re so big shot, then I am sorry if I’ve offended you in some way.” I write.
Despite not being able to hear, I could tell that Grace was laughing. Did I end up saying something funny?… Why do I always get cute girls to laugh? Am I just funny by default? I guess that is one trait that I haven’t lost yet…
Grace: “Celia was your name, yes? Child, I am the Queen of Brestia.” She wrote.
Celia: “Oh, then nice to meet you.” I write.
Grace: “You aren’t afraid of me? I am known as the bloody queen.” She wrote.
Celia: “So? And why do you call me a child? I am fifteen. And besides, I’ve killed tons of people too.” I write.
Grace: “Fifteen? You’re pretty small for your age… And I can’t help but believe your words about killing. I can see in your eyes. It’s nice to know that Victoria’s daughter is so skilled.” She wrote with a smile.
Suddenly, I could tell that the carriage had stopped moving. Looking out the window, I was now back at the guild. So we just went for a little trip around the city? I will never understand the whims of rich people…
Grace: “I wanted to see Victoria’s daughter, and now I have. Please continue with your day. And, if you would please keep my meeting you a secret?” She wrote.
Celia: “Of course. My lips are sealed. Even if they weren’t, I can’t talk, anyway.” I write back.
Grace: “…”
Waving the cute and giggling queen goodbye, I looked down at my figure. And yeah, it is no wonder she mistook my age. I guess that being on my death bed very much prevented this body from growing. Despite being 15, I look around 11 still. Like my body’s growth was completely frozen after I went into that coma.
Well, since I’ve woken up, I have noticed that I’ve gone through a few growth spurts. Which is good. I don’t want to be a small child forever, after all. I won’t be pipsqueak for long. Hopefully…
Selen and Clarisa soon returned to the carriage. I didn’t bring up the meeting with the Queen at all. I have to keep cute girls happy, you know. After they settled, the carriage started moving once more.
Selen: “There is a nest of Goblins not far away from this city. We will go subjugate them. Will that work?” She wrote.
Celia: “Yeah, that will be fine. It has been a long while since I’ve killed some Goblins. I am almost itching for it.” I write.
Selen: “…”
With Selen left with a confused expression on her face, we continued to travel. I wonder how long it will take until we get there? Not to mention, how much juicy, juicy Experience points will I get from this endeavor…
