Chapter 2: Calming Down.
(Celia’s POV)
From outside of this room, I could feel the presence of far stronger beings. In that sense, Midas is a sacrifice to a being that could be calm, or be an overly deadly nuke.
Midas, with such a name, you can guess her beauty. She wasn’t golden, though. But her hair and eyes were. This woman also had bountiful breasts, which her dress was clearly showing off. Her curves and butt were also basically being shown off as well.
She was the pure definition of a European beauty… Her accent was cute, and she was overall very charming. They knew my foil. That is… beautiful women, and how I am absolutely partial to them in the extreme.
Celia: “What exactly did you all do?” I ask with after taking a deep breath.
Midas: “Your army of a guild was a grand idea, but we couldn’t allow it to happen. Even with just one percent of your guild, you would have been able to easily win the game.” She answered.
Celia: “…What happened to them?” I ask with a nervous tone.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Midas: “Your core friends, and your family from that dimension, were all put into a deep sleep, same as you. The others were taken to secret, pure universe, which is similar to Home, but rest and peace isn’t the goal of it.” She replied.
Celia: “You kidnapped them?” I reply with a raised eyebrow, not getting angry.
Midas: “No, no. They all willingly decided to live there. They got to keep their Status, which were greatly pumped up by your antics, and we even bumped them up to Highest Goddesses.” She denied.
So they took an even bigger bribe, which was given to deprive me of my easy success, huh? That is very, very vexing…
Celia: “And why did they take the deal? At first, I would say that greed was why they joined up, but they surely felt like my guild was home to them after a while.” I ask with my arms crossed.
Midas: “They did, and they even worship you. It took so many bribes to get them to leave your guild… Regardless, they’re all now living very fulfilling and happy lives, that much we absolutely swear to you.” She explained.
Celia: “Who is left?” I reply with a sigh.
Midas: “June, Miracle, Jessica, Marin, Jen, Crea, Sherly, Quen, Deri, Iri, Kumoko, and Lia, are those that were fine to stay. With just them, the power imbalance isn’t so obvious.” She answered.
Celia: “Hm… that’s okay, then. I am happy that the others can live their lives without having to worry about the game. They don’t have to worry about it, right?…” I reply with an unsure tone.
Midas: “Like Home, that universe is safe from the game as well. Don’t worry.” She quickly replied.
Okay, this isn’t as bad as I thought that it would be. But… the woman is still acting nervous, so there must be more bullshit that she hasn’t expressed to me yet. Luckily for Midas, her beauty really does keep me calm…
