Chapter 75: Bath and Then Exploring!

(*Celia’s POV*)

The bath was modern, but still very fantasy looking. Much unlike the rest of the castle. The water was the absolute perfect temperature, and the bath was somewhat deep. I could swim around if I wanted to do so. I did!

Mar: “Lady Celia, if you spend any longer in the bath, you will get sick.” She advised.

Celia: “From now on, I will only listen to Yona. She told me that she was busy, but here she is, watching me through your eyes. Isn’t it kinda perverted to watch the girl that you’re interested in bathe?” I reply.

Mar: “…”

Celia: “?”

Mar: “Mistress advises you to get out of the bath, Celia.” She replied.

Without waiting a second longer, I sprung out of the bath. Much to Mar’s surprise. I am a woman of my word, after all. If I said that I was going to only listen to Yona, I fully meant that. The maids helped me dry off, and then put me in a new outfit. Which was just a white dress with white lingerie. Yona seems to know my preferences…

Now out of the bath, I decided to explore around. I did take a bath, and I already ate this morning. So I am more than fit to explore at the moment! As I walked to the front door of the castle, which was huge, I was stopped by Mar.

Mar: “Lady Celia… are you trying to escape?” She asked, holding my arm.

Celia: “Wow… A maid touching the body of their Mistress… how scandalous!” I exclaim.

Mar: “…”

Celia: “I am not trying to escape. This place has a garden or something, right? I want to go explore it.” I reply.

Mar: “You cannot leave the castle, Lady Celia.” She denied.

Celia: “Ask Yona. If she says no, then I won’t try to go outside.” I reply with a shrug.

A few seconds later, Mar sighed and ordered the front door to be opened for us. Walking outside, this place… it was very interesting. Not! This place was a snow and ice covered nightmare!!! What is there to even explore?…

Wearing such a light outfit, I wasn’t at all prepared to be in such an environment. Immediately, I turned on my heels and went right back inside the castle. Though, I did take a look at it from the outside. And yeah. It is a fantasy castle indeed.

Mar: “Don’t want to explore anymore, Lady Celia?” She asked with a smug tone.

Celia: “The cold isn’t made for a pretty princess such as I.” I reply with a scoff.

Mar: “…”

Celia: “Is this entire continent covered in snow and ice?” I ask with a curious tone.

Mar: “Yes. A perpetual winter is what keeps any invaders at bay. Which is why Mistresses identity is unknown.” She answered.

Celia: “Then Yona can rest assured.” I reply with a sigh.

Such a place isn’t fit for most people. I didn’t realize that it was so cold outside due to the fact that inside the castle is warm. It isn’t hot, just the right temp like in the bath. This place truly is a splendid wonder.

Mar: “And why is that, Lady Celia?” She asked with a confused tone.

Celia: “I wasn’t aware of the environment of this place. As strong and cunning as I am, even I cannot survive for long in a such a cold place. As such, I cannot escape.” I answer honestly.

What the heck? Mar and the rest of the maids all did a sigh of relief? Really!? I’ve already expressed my lack of interest in escaping this place, and Yona confirmed my words. I hate not being trusted…

Ignoring that scene, I started to explore the first floor of the castle. Unlike most rich people, Yona realizes that living on the first floor is a better idea. After all, what if someone tries to burn the place down? Jump from the high floor? Instant death for most.

While walking, I came across that woman again. She rounded a corner, and once she saw me, she tried to run away fast. But she was a weak necromancer. I was far faster than her, so grabbing her hand before she could leave wasn’t hard at all.

Celia: “Hey! I forgot to apologize for destroying your skeleton army.” I say after grabbing her hand.

Asmerelda: “…It is fine… that was just a small part of my army. Don’t you hate me? You do realize that I killed a few thousand people in that town, right?” She replied.

Celia: “I realize that. But I have killed hundreds of thousands. Of course, all the people weren’t really good people, but I at least haven’t killed any innocent ones. At least… I hope that I haven’t.” I reply.

I always make it a point to only kill those that are evil. But it is not like I won’t associate with those that have no qualms about killing innocents. That doesn’t mean that I agree with their methods, mind you. It just means that I won’t just kill them on the spot.

Asmerelda: “My name is Asmerelda, child. What is yours?” She asked.

Celia: “Celia.” I reply.

Asmerelda: “Celia… is it? It is quite a shame that Mistress took a liking to you. I would have loved to kill and get you to join my army.” She said with a wistful tone while gazing into my eyes.

Oh? This should count as flirting somewhat… Ah, what a shame. This woman is pretty good looking, but now she has been caught by Yona making advances on me, the girl that she wants to marry. Poor, poor Asmerelda…

Celia: “Mar?” I say while looking at her.

Mar: “Yes, Lady Celia?” She replied.

Celia: “Please prepare for Asmerelda’s funeral.” I order.

Mar: “…”

Asmerelda: “Huh!? Look, even if you want to avenge those townspeople, I have many substitute bodies.” She said in defense.

Celia: “I have no intentions of killing you. But Yona is watching me through Mar’s eyes.” I reply.

Asmerelda: “…”

Celia: “And here you are, flirting with me. Surely, that isn’t something that Yona can forgive, right?” I say with an evil smile.

After speaking, Asmerelda disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Eh? Running away so soon? I was mostly joking. Would Yona really kill Asmerelda for this? I doubt it. If she didn’t value her, then Yona wouldn’t have bothered to help fake her death on that day.

Eh, it isn’t my problem at all! Yes. I will totally pretend that I had nothing to do with Asmerelda’s potential demise. With a great and cheerful mood, I went back to exploring the castle, like nothing had just happened, and I wasn’t an accessory to murder. Teehee!
