Chapter 50: The Princess is Actually in This Castle.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Unlike the ravenous demon horde of that one layer, these ones were smart, and were clearly ordered to be here by Lew. In that sense, dealing with them would be a major hassle. Should I just stealth it?…
Velta: “Celia, I’d advise caution, but don’t rely on your invisibility.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “Why not? They didn’t notice me at all last time.” I reply.
Velta: “Yes, but if you get that close to so many powerful demons, then the spirits will temporary leave your side.” She advised.
Shit… My flawless plan… ruined! Oh well, as long as Gru doesn’t show up, then I should be fine. I don’t HAVE to kill these demons, after all. I just have to get by them.
With that plan, I flew directly into the entrance of the castle. As you would expect, tons of demons noticed me. Luckily, the ones on the outside were too big to enter the castle. My main problem will be the smaller ones within the castle.
Heh, most of them can’t fly, though. As such, I was able to fly over most of them. At least in the areas of the castle, with high ceilings. Of course, this method did not last forever. Actually, it quickly stopped working as the ceilings got low.
Not even mentioning Lew, but my Status is going to be wild after this little rescue operation. Before, I could easily deal with a few hundred demons in only a minute, but each of these demons took ten to twenty minutes just to deal with one of them.
For an example, here is the Status of the demon that I am currently fighting.

Despite being more close to my level, I still couldn’t see how much Experience he gives me… Huh… With Velta being with me, I didn’t notice that Ruina has been silent this entire time…
Ruina: “It’s because the System doesn’t really know what to do with a soul or being that is not in the world of the living. It will work on these that can come and go from Hell, but not demons.” She explained.
Celia: “I see… Why have you been silent this entire time?” I ask with a curious tone in my head.
Ruina: “Because the connection to you while you’re in Hell is very, very weak. It takes a lot of power to reach you. Which is why Ria isn’t constantly talking to you. It takes just too much of her Mana to do so.” She answered.
As she explained that, I finished off the demon that I was fighting. Currently, I was in a dungeon. Well, it was dungeon prison, you know, where they keep prisoners? Each cell was left empty, and I haven’t found anyone yet.
Come to think of it, Alice didn’t tell me her mother’s name… Ah, I guess that she must be the only one that Lew has kept prisoner in this place? Must be…
Velta: “Celia! I feel a dreadful presence nearby!” She exclaimed.
Celia: “Is it a powerful demon?” I ask.
Velta: “No, dreadful for me, a sinful soul. A being with similar power to an administrator is nearby. Take the next left.” She advised.
Following Velta’s directions, I ended up at a grand cell. The lock on the cell door was clearly magical, and nothing I did could unlock the damn thing... Please tell me that I didn’t come all this way without getting a key?…
Chained Woman: “Oh? Who might you be?” She asked.
The woman in the cell looked much like her daughter. As you would expect from a girl with such a name, Alice had bright blond hair, and her mother had the same color hair.
Celia: “Me? I am Celia, a living being that got trapped in Hell. I think that your daughter sent me to save you? Her name is Alice.” I reply.
Chained Woman: “She sent you to save me? How rare of her to take time off playing with her wonderful dolls, just to help me. I am truly a loved mother!” She said with a happy tone.
Celia: “Don’t be too happy… I do not have a key to release this lock.” I say with a sigh.
Chained Woman: “Celia, my dear, to release me, Alenta, you need the kill a certain demon. There is no key, the lock will just be destroyed once they’re dead.” She explained.
Celia: “Please tell me that it isn’t Gru…” I say with a nervous tone.
Alenta: “No way! One, I’ve known Gru all my life, and she deserves to retire and reincarnate, not be killed! And it isn’t Gru anyway, but a different demon.” She denied.
Celia: “Okay, that’s good. But where is this demon?” I ask with a curious tone.
Alenta: “It’s the lock, silly girl.” She said with a giggle.
I was about to spout various swears at her, but then the lock shot out a thin spike at me. Luckily, I was able to react in time, but the lock split off in two pieces. The cell door was still locked with a smaller bit of it, but the demon turned into a creature similar to a chest mimic. I can already tell that this thing will be annoying to deal with…

A lock that existed for such a long time, that it gained a soul. Upon being broken, it was sent to Hell for some unknown reason. Once in Hell, it turned into a Lock Mimic.

Why is a stupid fucking Lock Mimic, the strongest enemy that I have faced in a fight so far!? This better be worth all the fucking effort that I am putting into this. Look, I just want to have fun and wage a war with my wives, is that too fucking hard to ask for!?
Not to mention, this little fuck was annoying with its spikes. But the true problem is that this dude is super sturdy, and I have to use a lot of force to even damage it just a little bit. Fucking hell… this is going to take a long fucking time to kill…
