Chapter 94: Clearing Up Loose Ends.
(Celia’s POV)
I did feel bad, but I spent a lot of time with Nia and Lia. Surprisingly, there wasn’t any fighting involved. I mean, they didn’t actually fight before. But back in Heaven, there was a clear air of “It is my turn with Celia now!” between my wives, and even some of my daughters.
Was this separation enough to get them to mend this aspect of their relationship? I wasn’t betting on it. Instead, it was most likely just because it was just the two of them here.
After realizing that June had become my fifth daughter (I still remember you, Ruina, and I will not forget about you again, I swear!) Lia and Nia started to treat June just like our other daughters. Which was great!
Now, you may ask, for what reason should a wife feel bad about spending time with their wives? Simply put, during all this, I didn’t help Atlas evolve…
Celia: “Are you feeling better now?” I ask with a caring tone.
Atlas: “Much better than before, yes.” She replied with a nod.
Being almost sacrificed was something that would traumatize anyone. But Atlas also witnessed other people get sacrificed as well, which left her with a large mental scar. Luckily, there are therapists in my guild, so they graciously helped Atlas through it.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Celia: “Atlas, do you think that you can evolve now?” I reply.
Atlas: “I really should… If I just had one person that I truly trusted, then I wouldn’t have been kidnapped like that.” She answered with a long sigh.
Celia: “It’s my fault for leaving you so early. I should have stayed with you until you finished evolving…” I say with a remorseful tone.
Atlas: “From what I gathered, the reason why you left so quickly after doing what I requested of you, was because your wife had shown up. Isn’t that right?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Celia “Yes. She showed up out of the blue, so I couldn’t resist going to see her.” I admit.
Atlas: “Then it is fine. We both couldn’t predict such a thing would happen, and even if you could see the future, such abilities are blocked in the game. And, if it were one of my wives, I would have certainly done the same as you did.” She said with a smile.
Ah… I keep seeing her as a child that I must coax, but Atlas is actually countless years old. What was I so worried about? At her age, Atlas was always going to take this situation with some grace.
Celia: “Even still, I feel bad about it… As an apology, I will use my divinity to quickly get you through your evolutions. But only up to a Goddess.” I say with a serious tone.
Atlas: “You saved me, so there is no need for an apology. Though… I would greatly appreciate it if you would do this for me. Being a weak child… isn’t good for my mental health.” She agreed with only some reluctance.
She went to her bed, and then Atlas started her first evolution. Quickly, in just an hour, with my divinity, she already got through it. We did the same for her remaining evolutions, and on the last one, I did it as well. This way, she will only need to rest for a week. Sweet dreams, Atlas.
