Chapter 89: Betrayed by Myself…

(Zia’s POV)

Zia: “…”

Was this payback for having sex with Amelie? How did Vale even find out about me? Not to mention, but why did those maids of mine just hand me to her in the first place? It was like they were being controlled…

Vale: “That bitch… That fucking bitch!” She said, destroying the random junk around the place.

Honestly, if I didn’t let this silly woman kidnap me on purpose, I would have assumed that Ria betrayed me. Which, would be funny, if I am being honest.

Currently, Vale had me tied up to a chair, and we were in some abandoned storage building. Couldn’t you have been more creative? Like, why not an abandoned amusement park, or something like that? Vale… what a boring and typical villain, indeed.

Ria and I questioned God’s creativity, but assuming that the Will made this story, it is even worse at being creative. I am falling asleep in this chair, really…

Vale: “When did she realize it!?… I poisoned you, and then she goes and fakes your death? That bitch was so damn good at acting…” She said, biting her nail.

Zia: “Who are you?” I ask with a confused expression.

Vale: “Oh, at least that damn poison worked… If only I used it on that bitch.” She said with a scoff.

Zia: “Are you… Vale?” I assume.

Vale: “That’s right! And, as you will be dead soon… Do know that your adopted daughter will be joining you not long after I’ve killed you. So don’t worry.” She said with an evil tone.

Zia: “…”

Does she not have any self-awareness? I wasn’t even trying that hard to keep up the act, and she didn’t even notice at all. Not to mention, but these thugs don’t look that expensive.

Where did she get the money to buy them? Judging by how unsteady they are, I have a decent bet that Vale hasn’t paid them yet. Instead, she probably said that payment will be given to them once Nina is dead.

Being told to kidnap someone, and having to wait for payment later… It’s no wonder why the quality of these hired men isn’t high at all. In fact… the youngest one looks to be younger than twenty.

Zia: “Nina will find me soon, Vale. It’d be wise to not kill me.” I advise.

Vale: “Huh!? Why the hell would I keep you alive?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.

Zia: “Like I said, Nina will find and save me. If I am alive, she will probably just kill you. After all, she no longer has any reason to keep you alive. But if I am dead when Nina arrives… I am sure that you will be her torture pet for the rest of your life.” I explain with a serious tone.

Vale: “…Bullshit!” She exclaimed.

Taking a handgun from one of her hired hands, the crazed woman pointed it at me. While she struggled to figure out how to use the damn thing, I laughed. This action caused her to get even angrier.

With help from one of the men, the handgun was then ready to fire. Pointing it at me once again, she pulled the trigger. Although Vale clearly never shot a firearm before, her shot was aimed at my head. Specifically, right between my eyes.

She was no Celia, that’s for sure. Instead, you would have to be a complete blind cripple to miss a shot this close. Which just angered her further. Silly woman didn’t even realize that I shifted the bullet away from myself. How could she? No one in this dimension could use magic.

Bang!

Bang!

Clank!

She unloaded the entire mag in my direction, but no bullet landed. In a rage, she threw the handgun onto the ground. For fun, even though the gun was empty, I added an extra bullet.

Killing her like that would be funny, but would leave a bad taste in my mouth. Not that I didn’t want to kill her, just that I wanted Nina to be the one to end Vale’s life. So, rather than aim the negligent discharge to kill her, I made the bullet cut a decent way sideways through her face.

Vale: “AAAAHH!!” She yelled and thrashed around like a monster.

Zia: “…”

Are you an animal? Oh… I see. So you’re that kind of person, huh? One that highly values their face. I won’t shame her for that, no. In fact, most of my family is like that. Our appearances are very important to us, so I understand her mental anguish at her face being disfigured.

I would feel like a sinner, but no one in this world is real. As crazy as it is, once the story is done, the world will slowly vanish. None living here have souls, any higher being can tell that with a quick glance.

Most of the time, higher beings, myself included, do not like bothering with story dimensions. In this dimension, only Amelie, Nina, and now Uni, have souls. It isn’t hard to reinforce a doll to grow a soul, after all.

Zia: “How unfortunate, Vale. It is as if fate itself is willing you to fail. Did you know? I let myself get captured.” I inform with a laugh.

Vale: “…Stop spouting bullshit!” She yelled in reply.

Zia: “Believe it or not, foolish woman. I just wished for my daughter to have the joy of saving one of their family members. It is such an amazing feeling, you know.” I reply with a restrained shrug.

Bang!

Smoke filled the building… Was that a smoke grenade? How fancy of my daughter… Soon, various swat looking men invaded the place, shooting and killing all the people hired by Vale.

Vale: “…”

Once the smoke cleared, all besides Vale and I were dead on the ground. The building then started to smell like death. A smell that Vale clearly didn’t enjoy, despite her being so horrible.

Nina: “Vale… why couldn’t you have just stayed quiet? I would have let you live… but no, you just had to kidnap my mother.” She said with an angry tone and expression.

Vale: “You… you… bitch! You stole what was mine!” She exclaimed.

Nina: “None of it was ever yours, Vale. Where do your delusions come from?” She denied.

Vale: “…”

Nina: “Amelie, in your professional opinion, as I know that you’re a registered psychologist, is Vale mentally unwell?” She asked.

Oh? Amelie showed up as well? What a loving wife! Ah! Ria is here now. What took you so long to get here? Right… I need to communicate that to her.

Ria: “The Will did something to me… I blacked out, and only woke up a few minutes ago. That shouldn’t matter now, though. Just enjoy the show that our daughter is putting on.” She answered.

There’s that damn Will again… I had thought that Ria controlling our lives for a period was horrible, but this Will truly takes the cake in being horrible as well as annoying as all hell. Enough about that, though. Now, I shall watch my daughter display an amazing finale to this silly story!
