Chapter 44: Waste.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Opening my eyes, I was in some kind of pile. The smell was violent, so I quickly realized that I was in a pile of bodies. Trying my best to emerge from the corpse pile, I struggled greatly to do so.
I shouldn’t be this weak, even as a normal human, right? Noticing the size of the bodies around me, I came to the realization that I was now a child once more…

Celia: “…”
So… this is what it feels like to be worthless? At least I have my titles still… Can I even survive this terrible start? My hunger Stat was almost empty, and I was stuck in this stupid corpse pile…
Despite my INT being so damn low, I don’t feel any less intelligent. Rather than becoming stupid, it seemed to just only affect how powerful my magic would probably be. Which is good, as, if I had the mind of a child, I would probably be crying right now…
The struggling continued, and I honestly had no way of getting out of this mess at all. After trying for a long time, my arms were finally free. As I tried to pull onto the bodies to climb out, I accidentally tore an arm off one of them. Luckily, the blood was mostly drained from this corpse, so all that happened was that I had to listen to a horrible sound.

If the damn pile is this degraded, me surviving this is kinda crazy. My HP is low, but my body is completely intact. As I tried in vain to climb up more, I heard the sound of people. Or at least, something talking.
Gruff Voice: “Mistress, like you’ve guessed, the Coltern kingdom destroyed yet another village of theirs.” She said with a sigh.
Mistress?: “This is really their plan to deal with starvation? They should just accept my offer of being taken over already.” She said with a sigh of her own.
My voice wasn’t coming out, most likely due to me being in a pretty bad way. Swallowing as much saliva as I could to moisten my throat, I was finally about to ask for help.
Celia: “Hey, can one of you save me?” I ask with an oddly calm tone.
Gruff Voice: “Mistress, there is a little girl’s voice coming from the corpse pile.” She said with a surprised tone.
Mistress: “Someone survived this? Go on, save the girl already. We can figure out if she is useful once she is out.” She ordered.
Damn… Even my voice was that of a little girl. This “Mistress” woman had a very motherly voice. As I waited to be saved from this odd situation, I had a hope that it was actually Yona…
Gruff Voice: “Are you alright?” She asked.
Celia: “Just a little hungry and thirsty. Besides that, I am fine. Thanks for saving me.” I reply.
The gruff voice belonged to a knight. Her hair was ash blond, and she had a scar across her right eye. All in all, she looked like a typical fantasy knight. Noticing how I couldn’t tell if they she was lying or not, makes me remember about how that bitch stole my power…
Mistress: “Child, what is your name?” She asked.
Looking at the woman, it wasn’t Yona. I wish that the Creator would have told me if they would look the same. But if they didn’t, I doubt that I would be able to find them. Besides, even without my powers, I could tell that this wasn’t Yona.
Celia: “My name is Celia. What are yours?” I reply.
Arenti: “My name is Arenti. This is my Mistress, Victoria Velence.” She answered.
A noble, huh? I wonder what kind of people these two are? Victoria was an interesting woman. Clothed in a very expensive looking dress, yet she was standing in this destroyed village that had a lot of gore and dirt around it.
She didn’t claim to be a queen or princess, but she still looked to be someone of high regard. At least, that is how she carried herself. With my curiosity being high, I decided to peek at Victoria’s Status. Completely forgetting that I could no longer peep at peoples Status with ease, as I didn’t have the power to back up my curiosity…

Oh… Victoria is pretty powerful… Even if it wasn’t for my System, I could tell that this was the case. As Victoria held me up in the air by my neck. As I stared at her deep red eyes, I came to appreciate her deep black hair. For some reason…
Victoria: “What did you just do?” She asked with a serious tone.
Celia: “…”
Arenti: “Mistress, she can’t speak like this.” She advised.
Dropping me on the ground like a rag-doll, I quickly caught my breath. This was a stupid miscalculation. And I don’t know if it is because of my INT Stat being so damn low, or just my stupid curiosity that caused me to make such a mistake…
Victoria: “I felt her peer into my soul… What are you, child?” She asked.
Celia: “No one special. I just wanted to check and see how powerful you are. I wasn’t aware that you would have been able to notice.” I answer after coughing a bit.
Victoria: “Celia is your name, right? I sense great potential in you. As such, you will be returning with us.” She said with a serious expression.
Celia: “Do I have a choice in the matter?” I ask.
Victoria: “No.” She quickly denied.
Turning on my heels, I tried to run away. Oddly, they didn’t try to stop me at all. Actually, I lied. Arenti threw a dagger at my leg, which I dodged. Before running once more, I took the dagger and then ran. At that point, they didn’t follow after me. For some reason…
