Chapter 65: Killing a Necromancer.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Without any skeleton army to block me, I easily and quickly made my way to the house that Yona went to. Now, I didn’t actually see her enter it, but I mean, where else would she be at the moment? Getting a popsicle, or something like that?
Once at the door, I readied my dagger, and pushed the door open. It was unlocked? I assumed that the front door would be locked, and that Yona got into the house some other way. Like, I don’t know, the basement? Is this necromancer group full of idiots?…
Whatever… Walking inside the house, it was very clean. Closing my eyes, I felt the location of Yona. This power was one of the few that I actually kept from when I was a Supreme Goddess. The only difference was that the range was drastically decreased.
Rushing up to where I sensed her, I found myself facing a somewhat large door. Opening it, I saw that Yona and some woman were fighting to the death. The woman, probably the necromancer responsible for this mess, was a beautiful white haired woman. Her eyes were a pretty light red. She really did look like a necromancer. How fitting…
Celia: “Yona!” I exclaim, helping block a magic attack that was aimed at her with my dagger.
Yona: “Celia!? Sorry… I am having trouble with this damn necromancer.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “Really? Is she that strong?” I ask, not taking my eyes off of the woman.
Yona: “I wouldn’t say that she is strong… She is just very slippery.” She replied with a sigh.
Celia: “I am sure that if we fight her together, then we can mitigate her slipperiness.” I reply with a laugh.
Asmerelda: “Fools! Do you really think that you can win against the great me!?” She yelled in a confident tone.
This woman was odd… Not in the sense that she was a necromancer, no. One of my wives is a Death Goddess, after all. I felt like she wasn’t all there… No! Not in the sense that she is crazy! It’s like this wasn’t her full body, or something.
Like this was just a body double. I don’t know why I feel like that, I just do. Why would a necromancer, someone that relies on summons, fight people head on? She could easily run, but she isn’t. Which gives me even more confidence that this isn’t her full body.
To add to this theory, she didn’t bother to heal, nor dodge at all. Just because she is a necromancer doesn’t mean that she doesn’t know other kinds of magic, after all. Look, I even cut off one of her arms, but she doesn’t care. Wait… why does she look happy?…
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Celia: “Yona… I think that this woman is an extreme masochist…” I say with a nervous tone.
Yona: “She is. Which is one of the reasons why she is so annoying to deal with… It is so hard to kill someone that is getting off from you hurting and trying to kill them!” She said with an annoyed tone, as she dodged a magic attack from the woman.
Celia: “Really?…” I say with a surprised tone.
I didn’t get a response from either of them. Considering the situation, and that it was just a casual comment, I understood. I mean, we’re trying to kill each other, after all. With some reluctance, I keep hacking away at the woman.
*An Hour Later.*
Covered in blood, missing both of her arms, the woman still had a grand smile on her face. There was even a blush on her face… The woman didn’t seem suicidal, so this was absolutely not her real body. Maybe?… I don’t fully know.
Yona: “Celia! Finish her off!” She yelled, grabbing the woman from behind.
With her being restrained, I was able to cut a long slash across her body. She… she fucking moaned!!! As she fell to the ground, she had a blissful smile on her beautiful face. Soon, her body disappeared into a black mist.
Celia: “…”
Yona: “Good job, Celia! Now we’ve avenged this town.” She said with a happy smile.
Celia: “I don’t think that we did, Yona.” I reply with a sigh.
Yona: “Huh? What do you mean?” She asked with a head tilt. Cute!
Celia: “That wasn’t her real body. It must have been a body double. Otherwise, why wouldn’t she just run away? She didn’t look like someone that had a death wish. In fact, it was like she stayed her just so that we could get her off…” I say with a thinking pose.
Yona: “…”
Celia: “What’s wrong?” I ask.
Yona: “Nothing… You’re probably right, but finding her real body will be hard. And I doubt that she will stay anywhere close to this place.” She replied.
Celia: “Yeah, she probably used her body double as a distraction so that her real body could ran away.” I say with a sigh.
Yona took out a few healing potions, drank one, and then poured another onto her wounds. They healed up fast, and then Yona helped me do the same. Healing potions are pretty useful, but I wish that I could still use healing magic. Or rather, I wish that I could use magic again in general…
Yona: “Did you completely destroy that skeleton army? I don’t see any more of them outside.” She asked while looking out the window.
Celia: “I did. Like I said, it wasn’t that big of a deal.” I reply with a smile.
Yona: “…So it seems. I didn’t realize that you were so strong, Celia.” She said, taking my hand in hers.
Celia: “…”
Yona: “Sorry…” She said with a red face, quickly letting go of my hand.
Celia: “It’s fine… What should we do now?” I ask.
Yona: “You’ve worked far harder than I did. Here is a nightgown, go get some sleep. This place seems to be in perfect shape still, so it will fine to sleep here for the night.” She said, handing me a nightgown.
Celia: “What will you do?” I ask with a curious tone.
Yona: “We can’t just leave our horse alone. I will go get her and come back here.” She answered.
Celia: “Alright. There shouldn’t be anymore skeletons, but please be safe.” I reply.
Yona: “Of course.” She replied with a smile.
I walked Yona to the door, and waved her goodbye. Then, after searching for fifteen minutes, I find my way to the master bedroom. Taking off my destroyed dress, I put on my nightgown. Once again, this body wasn’t my norm, so I was very tired. I mean, I did just kill any entire skeleton army…
Plopping onto the bed, I thought about that odd necromancer. What was her purpose, anyway? She let us kill her body double, and she didn’t seem to mind that I destroyed her army… Oh, well. That is something for the future me to figure out. For now, I will just get some sleep. Sweet dreams, please come to me tonight!!! Man… I oddly very tired tonight…
