Chapter 24: Team up!

Chapter 24: Team up!

*Celia’s POV*

As I was thinking that this day would be my last, Yona came out of nowhere to save me. Why she was even here, wasn’t important at all. I was actually pretty happy that she came to save me. Technically, I was only wearing my bra and panties… I think that I would die, and or kill the person who saved me if they were a man.

Sure, I am a lesbian, but I don’t see Yona in a sexual light. I don’t know why, but I feel like she is more like an older sister to me, weird as it is.

After she put me down onto the ground, I ran over to pick up my sword. And by that, I meant that I had to pull it out of a rotting Goblins corpse. Annoyingly, when I pulled it out, and maybe due to my excitement, I got some of its blood on me. Fuck… I just got clean…

My annoyance aside, I should focus on fighting this stupid ass squid! When it shot another tentacle at me, I used my sword to slash it off. Blue blood splashed everywhere, as the squid flung its cut tentacle around randomly.

No. This isn’t censorship, squid blood is blue. Weird, right? Who knew that squids will royalty? Enough joking around in my own head, I gotta fight! Or I would. But the squid seems very content on just staying in the water. And neither of us are willing to risk a suicide mission by jumping into the water with it.

Celia: “This thing is a real coward… Could you perhaps use that magic again?” I ask with a thinking pose.

Yona: “Yes, I can. Though, this monster looks like it can see the difference in power.” She said with a laugh.

Raising her hand, she shot out a blade, of what I assume is wind magic, towards the monster. Something that is odd for a sea creature, is that the squid dodged to the left, only having half of its tentacle cut off. Then it instantly shrunk its size.

The little coward… I can fucking see you at the bottom of this pond! Ah! Whatever! I am still not going to jump into the water to get it. With a pout, I walk over to pick up my dress, and put it on. Of course, I washed the blood off of me first. I also picked up my pickaxe and my pouch.

Yona: “If it wishes to flee, then we should just leave it alone.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “I agree, but Yona, why are you here?” I ask with a curious tone.

Yona: “This dungeon seems to be about to have a break out, so I decided to investigate it.” She replied.

Celia: “A break out?” I ask with a head tilt.

Yona: “It just means that the dungeon monsters will end up leaving the dungeon, and will most likely cause chaos.” She answered.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Celia: “That’s bad.” I reply.

Yona: “Now then, why are you in this dungeon anyway?” She asked with her arms crossed.

Why am I being interrogated? I am just a silly little girl, who fell down a silly little hole. Oh yeah, please just ignore the bodies, and my thousands of Mana Crystals. You can absolutely trust me with the various weaponry that you gifted me. I swear!

Celia: “It wasn’t my intention to go to this dungeon. I just fell down a hole, which ended up leading to it.” I say with a shrug.

Yona: “How unlucky. Would you like for me to lead you back to the entrance?” She offered.

Celia: “If you asked me a few hours ago, I would have said yes. But I have invested too much time by this point, and I wish to see the end of this dungeon.” I reply.

Yona: “Alright. Judging by the bodies, I saw on the way here, I am confident that you can handle yourself.” She said while patting my head.

Awa… that felt nice. Hidden knowledge unlocked: All girls should have their head pat. Speaking of something that I didn’t speak of, and isn’t relevant to anything I’ve said so far, what the hell has Ruina been doing!?

Ruina: “Ah, I am back now!” She yelled.

Celia: “Aw! My ears… What did you even do?” I ask with a sigh.

Ruina: “I helped with an update to your system.” She answered.

Celia: “What kind of update? I don’t recall what you said that you were trying to fix.” I say while rubbing my head.

While I was talking to Ruina, I was still following close behind Yona. Oddly, I felt very safe around her. Maybe it’s because of her insane Status? I honestly don’t know at the moment.

Ruina: “Just check your Upgrades/Skills/Titles menu!” She exclaimed.

Why do you have to yell so damn loud? Ah, Celia, remember not to listen to the voices in your head… Wait, did she say Titles?

Oh… so now Titles show up in the same menu as Skills and Upgrades? Uh… cool, I guess? My Mining Skill, and Swordsmanship Skill, got leveled up a lot. Awesome!

Ah, my Inspect Skill got boosted by a lot as well. More awesome! But, back to this update, did such a small change really require Ruina to leave me in the lurch for like, twenty minutes?…

Ruina: “You devaluing my work and effort, hurts, you know…” She said with a said tone.

Celia: “Sorry…” I say with a remorseful tone.

Ruina: “It’s fine. Just know, adjusting, or adding features to the System, isn’t as simple as something like programming.” She explained.

Celia: “Why do you know what programming is?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ruina: “When I was banned from accessing the System, all of my limits were released. As such, I was able to comb through all of your memories with no blocks.” She answered.

What the fuck? That is an even further invasion of privacy than before!… While I was lost in thought and annoyed, I accidentally bumped my head right into Yona’s butt. Man… this only happened because I am so small!

Yona: “Celia, there are Goblins up ahead. Be ready.” She said with a serious tone.

Celia: “Alright.” I say with a nod.

Up ahead of us, was a group of six Primal Goblins. Unlike that smart squid, the Goblins were too stupid, so they rushed straight ahead to their deaths. How fun… Ah, Yona has a sadistic smile on her face… You know, I actually like that in a woman!
