Chapter 42: Have a Little Faith!
(Celia’s POV)
I hadn’t noticed for a while, but Faith was oddly quiet. Even when slipping into my soul, I couldn’t find her around. With this, my worry was very high. What if she got messed up by my evolutions, or maybe Maralia had removed Faith from me?
June: “What girl?” She asked with a confused tone.
Celia: “Ah… it is complicated. I’ll just give you the information via magic.” I reply, tapping her head lightly.
Though it wasn’t that much information, June took a while to process it. But not as long as last time. In fact, she only needed a minute to process it all. This is thanks to her new race and very high Int Stat.
June: “Do you have any idea why she isn’t talking?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “I have a few, but nothing concrete.” I reply with a sigh.
June: “Maybe she is evolving, so she is being silent for now?” She proposed.
Celia: “I guess that is possible…” I nod in reply.
Faith did tell me that, whenever I evolve, she evolves, too. Since no one is there to help her through it, maybe she is just taking a while to evolve? Since I cannot help her… I just hope that Faith will be okay in the end.
Making our way back to the guild, we entered our room once more. With magic, we instantly switched our outfits out. It didn’t really matter if I wanted to fight in that outfit, as I very much could have. I just didn’t wish to use it in that way. June was the same, and she seemingly even treated her outfit like a precious treasure.
June: “Celia, we should split up.” She said with a serious tone.
Celia: “Why?” I reply.
June: “Sticking together won’t be good anymore. Both of us are very powerful, more powerful than anyone else in the game currently. We should seduce the other players.” She proposed.
Celia: “Seduce?” I repeat with a raised eyebrow.
June: “Not sexually, mind you. With what we can access in the System Store… will be more than enough to convince most to join our guild.” She clarified.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
Celia: “Hm… That’s true. In truth, that was my plan as well. I would much prefer to save the other players, rather than have to kill them.” I agree.
June: “Right, so I will go on my own to find players. By the way… I will not let any males join.” She added.
Celia: “That’s fine. I doubt that I will let any males join, either.” I reply with a shrug.
June: “Oh? Do you also have a hate for males?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “A hate? No. I just, as you would expect from my Domain, much prefer females.” I deny with a laugh.
June: “Well, I won’t explain why, but I have a certain hatred of males. I won’t go out of my why to hunt them, though. I just will not ask them to join up.” She replied with a laugh of her own.
Waving her goodbye, June soon left our room. Like before, I was alone. But I didn’t feel lonely in the least. After all, I can still actually talk to June, regardless of how far away she is. To cover more ground, June decided to go to the opposite side of this planet, to find players.
Faith: “Good… she is gone now.” She said with a happy tone.
About an hour after she left, Faith finally popped back up. Girl… where were you? I was so worried about you!
Celia: “Huh? You can actually still talk? Do you… just not like June?” I ask in my head with a confused tone.
Faith: “Mother played a little trick, you know. Thankfully, I was able to hide, mostly.” She replied.
Celia: “???”
Faith: “Sava had placed some strings on you, which infect others. This was just a way to make sure you’re safe, as, since she really does see you as her daughter, she would rush to come and save you. Even if it breaks the rules.” She explained.
Celia: “…She is watching me? Then… isn’t she now aware of your existence?” I ask with a nervous tone.
Faith: “No, because she is only watching for your vitals. The string that infects those that you interact with, give more than that, though. Which is why I had to stay quiet. I noticed a little late, but Sava should still be unaware of me being alive.” She said with a confident tone.
Sava is sorta watching over me? I didn’t realize that she was such a protective mother… Though, her only other daughter was killed so, I do understand why should this. I just wish that she told me beforehand…
Celia: “Hm… I didn’t expect her to do something like that. Why can’t I see her strings?” I ask in reply.
Faith: “She is the one who taught you how to see them, so she knew how to make you not see them. Don’t worry, mother’s intentions are pure, with your safety in mind, and you shouldn’t worry about it. Just, when I am silent, expect that I’m just hiding from my mother.” She answered.
Celia: “Okay…” I say with a sigh.
If it wasn’t for June and Faith, I would truly feel alone right now. But with them around, I can carry on with this game. I was certain that I’d have a very hard time, and, from the beginning, it looked that would be the case indeed.
Instead, as if I am just the luckiest damn woman in the world, everything quickly became easy for me. Rather than train and level up, I can now fully focus on seducing people into my Guild. The United Lesbians Under Celia, will soon be the most powerful guild that has ever existed in this little silly game. Mark my words!!!
Yes, the name is funny, and some will be embarrassed to join. But when I flaunt magic crystals that level you up, any and all women will be willing to drop their panties for me, all just for a chance at getting such an item. And luckily for them, I am a loyal woman that doesn’t play around at all. So their bodies are safe, and they can just relax in my loving care! Goddess, I am such a good Higher Being!
