Chapter 770: [The Tamed Beasts Power]
ROOOOAAAARRRR!!!
The twin-headed giant noticed Grafilia’s and its two heads turned unsightly. It’s as if it was feeling anxiety from the slowly expanding orb. It let out a threatening roar and rushed towards it.
However, because of Qin’s avatar pressing it down, it couldn’t advance even if it wanted to.
“Sister Grafilia! What are you doing?! You’re going to destroy Asgard!!”
Fiona cried out in alarm.
“Heh, doesn’t matter. I can control it now! This is Master and my power altogether! It’s our child! I can control it, at least barely leaving Asgard alive!”
Grafilia let out a manic laugh as the black orb inside her palms were now ten to twelve inches in size.
“Seriously, she’d gone mad!”
Fiona made a sigh of helplessness.
“I should really tell master about this so he can scold you well!”
“Well, this is a war—let her have her fun!”
Mireya smiled wryly.
“Just make sure not to damage Asgard that much! In any case, we are not told to protect it unscathed,"
“Don’t worry. Let’s just destroy it and think about it later~” Grafilia pulled her palms apart even wider.
Her body blazing in bright electric sparks!
Roooarrrrr!!
The twin-headed giant felt like it had eaten shit as its expression was darker than a butt of a pot. It then charged forward like a mad bull, ignoring Qin’s avatar that was attacking it continuously. Its roar was a much higher pitch than before, summoning all monsters still alive in an instant. Its red glare now a few shades lighter- the beast set its sights solely on the woman standing in the air, coated by golden bright lightning sparks.
“That Monster…!”
“Has it recognized Grafilia as its enemy?”
The area around their battle had become a widespread brawl between Asgard’s warriors and the monster horde. The giant was heading right for it. Mireya watched in shock as the twin-headed giant completely ignored her and Fiona’s attacks.
Meanwhile, Qin’s Avatar was in hot pursuit, doing her best to avoid the small quakes the monster was making as it ran. Her eyes locked onto her target.
“We protect. This bastard will not touch her!”
Qin yelled out to her companion with no waver in her voice.
The twin-headed giant paid the giant lightning Qilin; Qin’s Avatar no attention as it quickly galloped along on its short, stubby legs. Fighting her way through the blasts of wind whenever its feet hit the ground. Mireya lined herself up beside it and hit one of its knees with all of her strength. The claws of wolverine make bright arcs in the air, and even a cutting wound appeared in the empty air.
The beast quickly lost its balance—a low center of gravity and high speed were not a good combination. The wide-eyed twin giant fell forward and hit the great plain with a thunderous bang. The monsters that couldn’t escape in time were smashed into a pulped by the twin-headed giant’s body.
The ground cracked on impact, sending a thick cloud of dirt into the air. The faces of the twin-headed giant morphed into an expression of disbelief as all of its limbs were on the ground for the first time.
“Well, that’s quite impressive…”
Shaking off a sense of awe at what she’d just seen, Fiona moved in to start her own attack. The twin-headed giant was trying to raise itself off the ground. However, the three women showed their opponent no mercy.
Fiona dived down in the ground, like a hawk that was attacking its prey with incredible speed. Dozens of fire drills materialize around her, then shooting towards the struggling twin-headed giant.
“GUH—OOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOOOO?!”
Face, hands, shoulders, thighs, and back—Qin’s Lightning Avatar, Mireya’s Claws, and Ice attacks, and Fiona’s fire and claws struck every possible target with blinding speed.
The twin-headed giant’s rage increased as it roared out in pain.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
Forgetting its original target for the moment, the twin-headed giant swung all of its limbs around as if trying to swat the world’s strongest mosquitoes out of the sky.
It even used howls in an attempt to keep them at bay.
BOOOOOM!!
Its howls destroyed a large portion of the Asgard forest.
Seeing the giant thrash around in desperation, Fiona started to cast a spell.
“—My heart breaks the remains of the clouds, the distant sky feels so dark and gloom!
My heart is like a leaf, swaying with the wind. Let the world knows my mourn!”
Fiona continued her assault on the twin-headed giant as a transient melody came from her lips. A bewildered Qin watched as the Demi-Griffon continued to attack the monster even faster than she could while focusing on her Magic Symphony.
“... Listen to my feeble voice and hear my prayer. Bestow the light of destruction upon those who have bared their fangs on you.”
Simultaneous high-speed combat and Magic: “Symphony Dystopia.”
It would not be an overstatement to say that magic required a tremendous amount of concentration and verbal enunciation to trigger.
This kind of magic combined music was a powerful spell that can only be cast by high-level Bards and Magic Balladeers. High output—a magic’s power was rated by the length of the song and the emotion cast upon it.
The longer the song, the purer the emotion, the more powerful the magic.
Therefore, all magic song users needed to stand in one place and focus all of their attention on singing their song or reciting their spell.
However, Fiona was reciting a spell and attacking at the same time.
The slightest slip of the tongue could result in complete failure and even might create a backlash from the spell, and yet here she is--Fiona was attacking, moving, dodging, and casting at a blistering pace. Even top-class mages and magic users from the God Clans might not be able to replicate such achievement.
The amount of mental stamina and courage required to pull this off was enormous, not to mention knowledge of close-quarters combat and rhetorical expertise.
Executing a combat style that even the high-level Celestial magic users wouldn’t dare attempt, Fiona kept up a strong physical assault while continuing to cast her song.
Truly, each and every one of Allen’s tamed beasts had gotten stronger and becoming unique existences in the Thousand World!
—Elena Balder noticed what Fiona was doing and was just as fascinated as the other people who had seen this spectacle.
She had left the care of the critically injured Eerika to the other God members and returned to the battlefield, only to be baffled by what she saw.
The way that the demi-griffon woman dodged the War Giant’s massive fists thrashing about while still attacking with unrelenting force was nothing short of gale winds in a hurricane. Even the great Griffon King wouldn’t be able to have such power. At the same time, the beauty and grace of her lithe form shook Elena Balder; the current head of the Asgardian Council to her very core.
So breath-taking…!
“What power…!”
Elena Balder could see that the griffon warrior was far beyond her own strength.
As someone from the God Clan, although she was not the one who held the highest power in Asgard despite being the head of Asgardian Council, she was still quite confident in her strength that can be said to be at least at the top among Asgardian Warriors.
And yet—these people; The Lightning Qilin, The Frost Wolf Warrior, the abominable Lycanthrope, and even the Griffon Female Warrior, each of them, their power was not the least bit inferior to her!
It was incredible!
And truly, a thankful timely support for Asgard!
At first, it made her realize her own weakness, but then showed her a level of power that she could attain. Being a lesser deity is not impossible anymore—!
At last, she swore that one day she would reach the same plateau and stand next to these monsters as equals.
She shook her head and took a look around—the warriors of Asgard, the Valkyries, the new Asgardian Generation, and even all the powerful monsters that Allen- the Demon Prince had called, were all around her, engaged in a spirited fight with the monsters and demons.
One can even be said, that if not for Allen and his tamed beasts, they wouldn’t be able to last this long.
Seriously, how could he have so many powerful, unique and mysterious monsters following him?
And extremely loyal at that to boot!
Elena Balder could only sigh in helplessness to the distance between them.
It’s as if, all she knows about him was just the tip of the iceberg, every single time- that distance apart them widened the moment he made his move. Even most of the weapons and items currently used by Asgard, including hers, were from him—generating like an endless supply that can put even dwarves and elves to shame.
In fact, his creations such as weapons and items were not less inferior to the Dwarven Craftsmen and the Potions he provided were even better than the elves.
So much power, so much influence… just a single man can be said to be fueling this war alone.
Her daughter’s eyes were much clearer and brighter compared to her.
Elena Balder, couldn’t help but admit, despite wanting to be different from the old, she too, was like the rest of the Old Gods, only judge people on their appearance.
If not for Eerika who had persisted on her heart and even fought for her love, Asgard would not be able to stand now—it might have even be destroyed, along with their judgmental egos.
Elena Balder smiled wryly.
Thousands of years of living, it seems she too still has a lot to learn!
The war around her was getting more intense.
Although the Monster Horde seemed endless, but because of Allen and his tamed beasts’ efforts, it was not yet in the point of being hopeless. Just that, Elena Balder didn’t know how long this battle would last—whether they would be exhausted first, or the monster would surrender and stop. Not like they were the only ones being attacked as all surviving God Clans too were giving their best. And these monsters are not limitless either—there are bound to be a limit!
Thus, they could only continue fighting!
"...at the very least, Dante...hear our prayers. Protect those who placed their trust in you with all their heart and soul, I beg of you...!"
Seeing their bravery and courage, Elena Balder ran off to join the fight against the twin-headed giant and assist Allen’s tamed beasts.
If her own Magic could help them, could buy more time for the Lycanthrope that seemed to be doing something… then, all her efforts would not be in vain.
She then found a low spot in the plains and began to cast her own spell.
Bright shards of light appeared around her, twinkling like stars.
