Two days later since Allen and the others left Italica.
Mia was doing her usual thing, reading papers and reports, making plans for the future and organizing things in order.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
“Come in,”
When Celty and Lieri entered the room, she was typing on the keyboard of her computer. However, when they approached her, she immediately stops typing on the keyboard and leans casually on her rotating leather chair.
Then, she picks up a pen, fiddles with it lightly and taps it gently on the tabletop.
“How is it?”
Lieri remained standing while Celty transformed back from her Diana from to her Mystique form and sat on the new couch, helping herself with the snacks on the table.
“It’s going good, Garth and Flor’s abilities were growing steadily – Though the petrification ability of the monsters was quite troublesome. Several members of the team had already fallen for it –” Celty answered.
“That’s alright since as long as we can gather enough Basilisk eyes; we can make a cure for it. Allen lend us Agathi for that reason,”
Agathi Dorhuck, Allen’s tamed beast. Before he left, he left Agathi and three clones of him in Mia’s hands.
Agathi was an Alchemist and since there are still few people who had Alchemist profession or knowledge about it, she was extremely important for Mia at this moment since she could concoct a medicine for the Petrification Ability of the Basilisk.
People can become an Alchemist even without a pharmacist or alchemist related class, as long as they possess knowledge about it that is. However, the medicine they make would be inferior to those who possess professions and their success rate would be extremely low…
Thus, Agathi’s existence was extremely valuable to the current age.
Naturally, Agathi doesn’t know how to make the Medicine that can cure Petrification – in this case, the knowledge of the future had shown its great importance. Mia and Celty have some knowledge about several kinds of medicine from the previous world.
With this Knowledge and Agathi Dorhuck, they didn’t fear monsters like Basilisks and Cockatrice that possess Petrification Ability.
One of Allen’s clones was in the expedition team while the other went with Aemie to Canada. Although they didn’t possess power as much as the original, but the clone’s power was still above that of most Superhumans in the group. Its estimated level was around 5 – 6 level.
“Where’s my mini Allen?” Suddenly, Celty asked while surveying the entire room.
The last clone was in the Bianchi’s Mansion, accompanying Mia.
“He went to check on Agathi,” Mia replied.
“I’m here,” Suddenly, a childish voice appeared.
When they turned their head towards the door, a child around 10 -11 years old with silver hair, dark grey skin, and crimson eyes was standing while smiling happily. He looked like a cheerful kid next door if not for the scales that could be seen in some part of his body like arms and neck as well as the long tail that was swaying behind him.
“Allen,” Celty’s eyes immediately sparkled in happiness and her eyes almost turned into a crescent. She dashed and caught Allen, carrying him in her arms, like carrying her child.
“So cute,” Celty happily rubbed her cheeks at Allen’s small face. “I missed you,”
“We’re together just now, you know,” Allen smiled wryly. What he meant was that his other clone was with Celty and Lieri in the Ruins just now.
Since Allen could alternate between his clones, it would be said that he was together with them almost every minute.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“No, no, I missed you every second you’re not around…” Celty pouted. “But still, this form of yours is really like a child… maybe our child will also look like this,”
Celty started daydreaming. Allen shook his head in helplessness.
“Ah, right, Mia,” He turned at Mia who was also looking at him, quite happily. “Agathi finished over 12 bottles of the Antidote already…”
“Is that so, then that’s good.” Mia nodded her head satisfied. “We should be able to rescue those who are petrified by now…”
“But still,” Allen frowned.
“Is something wrong?”
“The Ruins, I think there’s something within the deep of the Ruins…” Allen suddenly said seriously.
“Something deep…?”
“Yeah,” Allen nodded. “For now, we are able to explore quite far, better than I imagine… but, I can feel something strange as we go deeper,”
“What do you mean?” Celty asked curiously.
“I don’t know… I’m still not sure, call it my intuition or anything, I just felt something is in the deepest part of the ruins.” Allen said while playing with Celty’s fingers.
“You probably need to slow down the exploration and take everyone’s leveling up the top priority – at least, whatever is hiding there, you can take them on, even without me…”
Allen suggested. Even though he was there, but, that was only his clone and the power his clone possess is at max, half of his… if something more powerful than them will occur, a tragedy might happen.
Mia nodded her head in understanding. “I’ll take that suggestion,”
Celty happily played with the mini-Allen like she was playing with her child. Since Celty seems like she was enjoying it, Allen played along. Read side by side, played board games and cards, sang old and new songs and even danced.
She really treated him as her child…
Celty was hopeless… but this made Allen also pleased at the same time. Sometimes she was matured and reliable but there are also times when she acts like she has some loose screws on her head… quite adorable and silly.
Mia obeyed Allen’s suggestion and so the expedition progressed at turtle speed. Most Superhumans in the group grinded their levels from monsters such as Basilisk and Cockatrice that shows up from time to time.
At this, the mini-Allen became some sort of Guardian Angel of the group, only moving when something wrong happened.
If all the Superhumans were ranked up by levels, most of those who were occupying the top 100 would be in Mia’s group with the average level of 5 and the highest, Mia, Celty, Lieri, Flor and Garth and some others in Lv7 and 8.
Their leveling speed was like a rocket compared to the previous world… seriously, the world had turned into something different from the previous world.
However, over a week after Allen’s departure from Italica, something major had happened.
This event had flipped all the people around Allen.
All the women were shocked silly and couldn’t believe that it was possible…
--- ---
The sun was shining down on Lieri, but it wasn’t very warm because according to the strange weather these past few days, winter should be visiting.
On the contrary, it was rather cold. A chilly wind relentlessly assailed Lieri as she slowly walked to the courtyard. She was in the middle of bringing Mia and the mini Allen some snacks – fruits actually.
Crimson leaves fluttered down from the trees that had been planted at set intervals around the Mansion.
Although a bit busy but, Lieri was extremely happy these past days and months while enjoying this nonsensical world. At first, she doesn’t really know how it will turn out.
Although she believed Mia’s words and never did she doubted her, the world transforming into a fantasy world was still a bit, difficult to accept. The lives that they had, the peace that they enjoyed – all of them will be lost in an instant notice.
Life is fleeting, like leaves in a tree. Pluck it, or swayed by the passing of wind, it will slowly fall and die.
Humans are like that.
She was quite calm when she heard about the [ Fantasial Apocalypse ] for the first time when Mia suddenly woke up, one day and started acting strangely. But she believes her in just less than a second and immediately prepared.
An underground shelter, emergency foods, weapons, items and daily necessities all done in due haste. In the eyes of many, they looked insane or paranoids but she didn’t care and did as what Mia had told her – and her trust was never betrayed.
All happened in a flash and the world flipped upside down.
Creatures never been seen before and was only heard in legends and myths appeared one after another – breathtaking sceneries as of painted by famous painters and artists and most of all, the New World gave every people adventures that they had dreamed of having, like heroes from movies and cartoons, all of them was already within reach – but, as beautiful as amazing as it was, the threat of life had also increased.
Hundreds of people dying every second – and if you’re not strong enough you will be oppressed by those who are…
The world becomes much brighter but due to its brightness, the shadows had also become much darker.
Still, people should have experienced worst, but for Lieri, it wasn’t. She was living as happily as she can be…
She can serve her master, become stronger and most of all, she can see the man she had loved for whenever she wanted.
She fell for him the moment she saw him… probably, Mia telling stories about him, adventurers and achievements that seems to be straight out from fairy tales, helps her to feel like that as soon as she saw him for the first time.
However, she endured and hides those feelings deep within her; after all, this wasn’t the time to fall in love.
Besides, she wasn’t in a hurry. The boy she liked can be reached as easy as extending an arm – she didn’t fear of being rejected, probably he would even dance the moment she confessed…
Thinking about him, Lieri can’t help but chuckle in happiness.
Her life was already perfect – more would be spoiling her.
