Chapter 272: [ Maria’s Feelings ]

Looking at the raging battle, Allen slowly descended to the ground, just beside Maria.

“Well, that looks fun,” Allen smiled faintly.

“Long time no see,” Maria turned her gaze from the battle to Allen and flash a brilliant and lovely smile.

“How’s Dracula?”

“Already cleaned up,” Allen responded with a shrug.

He then turned his gaze to the other parts of the area and saw the humans and witches fighting together against the werewolves and Vampires.

Though the witches were attacking from a distance and seem as if they were not aiding the humans at all. They cast magic without caring if the humans near the target would be blown away or not. Their lives were of no importance –all they wanted was to obey his orders.

Besides, Allen never stated that they would treat the humans kindly and only told them to help them defeat the enemies.

“Hm,” Maria nodded. She was silent for a moment before saying, “Do you blame us…?”

?? Allen sends a doubtful gaze then suddenly realizing what she was talking about.

“Who knows, at least I don’t.” He shrugs indifferently.

This was the truth…

!??

“I’m not the same as before… I’m already not the Allen you know.” Allen said indifferently. Then he grins, “You can say, I’m the NeoAllen, a newtype~”

“Thus, I can’t really be bothered…” Allen returned his gaze at the battle.

“Although I did say that I want to settle past events but truthfully that is only for my self-satisfaction. I won’t hate you for it and go trying to kill you to settle grudges –I’m not the least bit interested in that.”

“… …” Maria turned silent. Her hands clenched tightly.

Alle continued; “I know that answering revenge with revenge, will only cause nothing but an endless spiral of hate and sadness for those around me– I’m sure in hell not fond of that. I’d rather spend my time efficiently and play with women than waste my precious time on these stinking men,”

Allen’s words almost made Maria laugh. I guess he was always like that – carefree and full of devil-may-care attitude.

And you call that efficient…?!

Seeing him like this, a nostalgic feeling surged through her and Maria’s eyes started to feel hot and moist. A faint smile bloomed on her face.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right…” she nodded., a tear fell at the corner of her eyes.

She had always been carrying this guilt all these times. Who knows how hard it was –only God knows.

It was eating inside of her… it would have been better if Allen cursed at them and beat them up, showing his hate and anger towards what they had done. She had always been preparing herself for that…

But it seems like, the youngest of them all, had started maturing now.

He had grown up so well.

The others felt it as well due to Mark’s ability. Of course, they heard Allen’s words and couldn’t help but cursed inwardly. What do you mean stinking men? You’re stinkier than us, you damn womanizer!!

Still, a faint smile cracked open on the group’s face.

“Though that doesn’t mean I will start to play poker and hooker again with all of you guys,” Allen continued.

“Sooner or later, I will pay back what I owe – of course, with Mia’s share on top of that with a bit of interest.” An indifferent smile appeared on his face.

“I know,” Maria grabbed Allen’s hand and stared at him. Tears started falling from her eyes. “I will be waiting,”

She won’t apologize because that won’t do anything nor solve anything. She will only wait for the retribution when the time comes.

Whether he beat them up –she will endure it all.

Allen smiled. But this was not the usual smile that he made when he was flirting with other women but an innocent warm smile.

Silly woman…

It could be said that Maria was one of the closest people with him in the Dawn Alliance. She had always been his big sister…

She had given everything he had wanted in that world; Affection and Care.

She played the role of his big sister when he had longed for Layla’s existence.

Thus, even if he was a wicked anti-hero, he can’t muster any strength to retaliate against her.

When one really thought about it, Yeah, it’s not as if she and the others really betrayed him.

When they became the demon henchmen, aside from killing Keneth and accidentally killed Mia due to the former relationship with the traitor, Maria and the others didn’t attack the other people.

If not, no matter how many lives he had, with the force consisting of the five famous kings, wouldn’t he be already swimming now in the yellow river?

Still, they didn’t attack them and left the Alliance.

The only problem was that Celty had apparently reached a similar decision with them and captured him, leading to his untimely death.

If he had waited, wouldn’t things be different? Allen can’t help but wonder.

Nah, that’s already too late. Allen shook his head and erased the thoughts.

Thinking many ‘Ifs’ will only bring headaches.

Past is past. What he needed to think now is the present…

Bringing about the past can be used for melancholy and nostalgia –not creating more heartaches and regrets~

And for the future, let’s see… let’s do it tomorrow~

Allen summoned bone chair for him and for Maria.

With his necromancy, it was easy as pie – though the appearance can only be seen as exotic.

Bones that looked like skeletons, silvery and metallic. It was even inducing a faint magical trace…

For Maria whose inclination greatly leaned on light, it was a bit uncomfortable.

Of course, she was startled at first. Allen can use Necromancy just like Bernard was a shock to her, no, probably for other Kings as well.

Just how many abilities did he acquire?

One really couldn’t help but become jealous.

His power and abilities really transcend the other returnees.

Watching the intense battle, Allen suddenly got bored but if he suddenly joined in, it would be somewhat bad manners.

Thus, he also summoned a table made up of bones and started having fun,

“Ahem, everyone this is Allen Bando also known as the Beast Emperor.” He muttered excitedly while broadcasting his voice with mana.

“Today in this special occasion, I would be your moderator and commentator, a round of applause please!”

“… …” No one obeyed more like they were busy fighting. There were not even audience.

Awkward, Allen scratched the back of his head and called out several witches to sit beside him as an audience.

“Ahem, once again, along with big sister Maria Earlstine, the famous and well known, and beautiful Holy Maiden of the Catholic Church, we will be your commentators for today, a round of applause please!!”

Clap! Clap! Clap! The Witches clap their hands obediently though their faces were already dyed in red.

Fortunately, they were wearing long baggy robes and a big pointed hat if not; anyone would see their embarrassed expressions.

Just what the heck is this guy doing!!?

Enemies and Allies alike shared the same thought. Some even started stopping their fight due to Allen’s strange play.

BOOM!

Standing in front of the Grey Metallic Lycan Queen, Yoyo in her giant Ifrit form was surrounded by brilliant scarlet light.

It was hard to look directly at her due to the intense blinding light and heat, but she was shooting fireballs like some sort of a pyromaniac—each one exploding against the Lycan Queen’s body causing her to howl in pain.

The Lycan Queen retaliated, biting chunks out of the ground and slashing her sharp claws as if she was Wolverine, but she couldn’t seem to hit Yoyo quite clearly. Her speed was swift contrary to her giant figure.

In addition, it seems as if she had precognition ability, as she also seems to be predicting where the Lycan Queen would attack— she always several feet away from wherever the Lycan Queen struck, dodging at hair’s breadth and striking a vicious counter.

This was because, what Bernard, Daniel, Maria, and Mark can see, she also saw it. They shared their visions similar to how the six paths of Pain fight.

Bernard, on the other hand, tried to force his way, disappearing and reappearing as if he was a ghost.

He would stab his spear and blast the Lycan Queen’s metallic fur, spilling red blood; but the Lycan Queen just regenerated, stronger and angrier. He had even summoned countless Skeletons but all of them were just sticks in front of it.

A few feet away from them, Daniel had summoned a full Poseidon avatar – a giant blue long haired dandy guy wearing a beautiful blue armor and with a trident in his hand.

He stabbed and shoots water blades one after another.

Tall waves came crashing at the Lycan Queen, causing constant earthquakes to appear.

Still, the Lycan Queen was still standing proudly amidst the former King’s power.
