Chapter 638:【Ajeel Ramal’s Sand Magic 】
In the 13th layer, the fight was still ongoing.
There were many monsters and creatures hiding deep within the sound, but they were caught up in Allen’s strike, instantly turning to ash!
The Sand Worm cried out in pain and agony.
"GyaaaaAAAaaahhHHHhhh—!!!" the Sand Worm still let out an ear-piercing cry. Its hard brown colored shell slowly turning crimson as the Golden Spear of Lightning bored down on its body, wanting to pierce through it.
The Sand Worm, desperate, immediately coiled its long body, wanting to break down at that thunder spear light!
BaaaAAAnnnNNggGGGgg—!!
A blazing divine might lit up the heavens and a blinding light filled the world, seeming to swallow up everything in existence. For the surrounding hundreds of miles, the entire Desert shook and trembled violently. The Sand Worm’s long body was charred black by this terrifying strength before its hard shells slowly blowing into pieces.
Allen’s long lightning spear continued unabated, stabbing into the Sand Worm’s massive body!
Puff! A soft sound echoed and the lightning pear pierced through monster’s body, passing through the sand and a hole five to seven meters wide appeared at the bottom of the Desert. Allen can even see the next layer, which was a volcanic region before it slowly repaired itself and closed off.
Allen’s attack pierced through the Dungeon’s barrier—!
Just with this alone is enough to see how much power does this attack possess!
However, amazingly enough, the Sand Worm King was still alive and kicking. Allen can’t help but feel at awe on its toughness and vitality.
"GyaaaaAAAaaahhHHHhhh—!!!"
The Sand Worm, a survivor from a disaster felt rage overcome its mind. Its eyes turned bloodshot. Its body covered with blood, the flesh on its abdomen had cracked and a large smoking hole could be seen from it. Most of its scales had been torn off, and blood was leaking from its mouth. Even still, the Sand Worm was still ferocious and raging like an angry dragon. Its muscles wriggled, repairing all of these wounds. Even so, the rate at which it was regenerating was slowing down at a visible rate.
"GyaaaaAAAaaahhHHHhhh—!!!"
At this time, the Sand Worm released a deep roar and glared at Allen in hate and fury. Its blood vitality suddenly rocketed up into the skies, billowing upwards like a volcano. With the support of this powerful blood vitality, its body began rapidly regenerating once again!
As Allen thought that the Sand Worm was about to attack again, an unexpected change occurred. The monster swiveled around and unexpectedly dove down in the Desert like a fish returning to the sea. Allen was startled by its sudden action. Because of Allen’s attack, the yellow sands in the surrounding area were thinned down and thus, Allen can still see the faint silhouette of the Sand Worm—and yet, it was actually fleeing?!
Allen was shocked. He was so shocked that he didn’t know what expression to make. This was the first time he had seen a dungeon monster so powerful like this running away from him. In fact, even if they die, Boss Monsters will still attack their opponent like an idiot till the end. This bastard has such intelligence...?
Allen frowned, thought for a while, then his eyes flashed. He can’t let it escape! He had already fought it to this state and he would still let it escape? No way!
Allen’s eyes flashed and it transformed. His slit pupils turned into a triangle-like an image at the center of a red pupil. Not just that, the sclera was full of ripple patterns that looked extremely menacing.
“…Banshō Ten'in!!” Allen coolly muttered. “God’s Vortex…!”
?!! The fleeing Sand Worm was already kilometers away but suddenly, it stopped its descent as it felt its body being pulled by something.
Feeling this sudden change, the Sand Worm began to show visible panic. Its large body began to shiver and its complexion completely changed. It struggled desperately but how can Allen let it go? His eyes gleamed and the suction force becomes even stronger.
“...You are the one who picked a fight and yet you still want to escape? You can leave but your life needs to stay here…forever!!” Allen grinned evilly.
He stretched his left hand and it suddenly blazed in flames. He kicked the air and shot upwards, high enough not to be reached by the Sand Worm.
When the Sand Worm was taken back beneath Allen’s position, it roared in anger and anxiety and the sand around it rose up in columns. Wooosh. Then, a tornado of sand appeared, a terrifying Sand Storm was created, rushing towards Allen’s position.
“Hmph!” Allen snorted.
At this moment, the Mummy Lord moved and his crook and flail crossed in front of his chest, another sandstorm was generated.
The two sandstorms clashed against each other. Another sandstorm and then another, and then another. The entire desert was filled with tornadoes of sand clashing one after another. However, the Sand Worm didn’t care about the Mummy Lord--its attention was still focused on Allen who was flying higher.
This was the most hated enemy it had faced up until now.
If he could speak human language, he would have rained Allen down with curses and spit.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
To this Allen only snorted as he noticed the expression revealed on its cry and actions. Fortunately enough, this is not 15th layer which, according the information he had, banned anyone from flying just like the Dragon King P’thala’s [ Forbidden Sky ] as he ascended in the air.
When he was high enough, he stops and stretched his hand upwards. Woooosh. In an instant, a gigantic fireball resembling that of sun appeared above him. The surface of the fireball was full of swirling flames and the heat around it was enough to melt steel in just a few seconds. It has a width of roughly seven to eight meters, looking extremely hot and terrifying.
“Mummy Lord, prepare,” Allen mumbled simply.
The Mummy Lord who was fighting on the ground raised his head up, didn’t say anything and slowly submerge in his shadows. He disappeared. Seeing this, Allen grinned like a demonic monster and swung his arm downward.
The sun-like fireball then slowly descended into the Desert.
The Sand Worm was terrified seeing the fireball and its body violently trembled. It then hurriedly dive down but at this very moment, the grains of sand falling around it caused by the sandstorm suddenly flew towards its body, piling up and becoming denser and denser until it was covered by sand, restraining its movement. The Sand Worm wriggled but it couldn't free itself no matter what it does.
Then—
BooooOOOOooommmMMMmmmm—!!!!
Another large explosion occurred and the desert beneath Allen, under his indifferent gaze turned into a sea of flames.
Large crimson flames burned at the prison-like crater that extended as far as 3-4 kilometers in radius. And Allen couldn’t see what was going on but judging from the piercing cry of despair echoing in the entire 13th layer, Allen’s lips curled into an evil grin. *Ding!
【Congratulations! You have successfully killed the Sand Worm King (Devourer of the Desert)! 】
【You have earned 1,349,500,000 EXP and earned the Item; Sand Worm King’s Armor (Legend Tier)! 】
There were two flashes of electricity in Allen’s ice-cold eyes. And, it seemed as if his entire body would explode with excitement. Allen clenched his fist and found out his magic power was much greater than before. Now, he felt that he could break through 2nd grade Mid God realm anytime soon. But for some reason, he still lacked a little.
The feeling was like seeing a naked young beautiful girl running ahead of him, and he was a hair’s breadth away from catching her, but she was dodging agilely away from being pushed down by him…
Such a tease...!
It was truly vexing at the same time frustrating…!
... ...
Allen slowly descended into the ground.
The terrifying flames burned the sandy ground into a cinder, black as ink. The flames surrounded him but they didn’t do anything to him or burn him. Instead, when he descended, flames slowly died down around him. Some even touched him affectionately as if licking him.
Walking towards the burned carcass of the massive Sand Worm that was still emitting smoke, Allen saw pieces of equipment lying beside it. When he picked it up, they are one grade lower than the armor he had just obtained. However, they are still incredible than normal Mythic and Unique Grade Items.
A Sword, a Tower Shield, a pair of boots and there was even two skill books; [ Sand Storm ] and [ Sand Armor ]. Allen stored them into his Grimoire. His gaze then turned into the Sand Worm King and was about to throw it to his Grimoire as well--its shell would be a good material for item creation, but suddenly his eyes narrowed.
At the large gaping hole in its abdomen, where the Lightning Spear pierced through, something shiny could be seen sparkling.
This mana fluctuation… don’t tell me…
Allen frowned and just as expected when he walked over, he found a Silver Crystal.
Here? There are also Silver Crystals in this Dungeon huh…
Allen picked it up. Injecting magic power into it, a line of words appeared inside his mind.
【Ajeel Ramal’s Sand Magic 】
Ajeel Ramal…? Allen’s brows furrowed then a character appeared in his mind. Isn’t that from the Fairyt*il Universe…? One of the Springgan 12… if it’s his Sand Magic, then… Allen’s lips curled upwards.
Without hesitation, he absorbed the Silver Crystal, giving him the power of Ajeel Ramal’s Sand Magic. It was a good combination power for his Sand Manipulation ability from Gaara.
Although it was unfortunate that he couldn’t consume the 【Suna Suna no Mi 】in fear of the consequences. But with this Ajeel Ramal’s ability, he should be able to strengthen his sand magic closer to that of the Suna Suna no Mi!
Allen swept through the area and managed to find a dozen of weapons and items as well as several skill books from the monsters he had defeated. However, there was no second Silver Crystal, which is actually quite regrettable…
With the Mummy Lord, Allen proceeded through the Desert. Occasionally, they would meet several monsters which they easily dealt with. It also becomes Allen’s new training for his newfound power, which was even better and stronger than his original ability.
Right now, it’s as if, the sand was like a relative to him as he could control them at will. He doesn’t even need the Mummy Lord’s help anymore as he too by simply "asking" the Desert, would know every location of the monsters. It was a very wonderful and convenient ability.
Walking through the Desert, without realizing they found themselves surrounded by greenery. Before long, the ruins of a once prosperous civilization came into view, with a shape of a large city fading in and out on the horizon giving one a strange emotion.
The world that fell from grace, this kind of scene would be the outcome if something like that happened.
The City was quiet like a giant graveyard. Hugely tall buildings towered like giant tombstones, without any signs of humans. If Allen wasn’t mistaken, this kind of City was from a modern-world setting as the buildings were made from concrete and transparent glass.
The street was filled with broken cars, motorcycles and many more devices and machinery that can only be found in the 21st century of human civilization.
With the human population gone, only slow death waited and instead, nature has once again regained control, quietly wrapping up any remaining dreams of transient humanity…
A pitiful ending…
Walking through the silent street, Allen can occasionally find some skeletons of both humans and monsters. This really made it hard for him to doubt if this was really just a Dungeon or not—really unbelievable…
Wooosh. Sand suddenly rose up from beneath his feet and made a wall of sand on his left side. Baang! A Monster with a strange appearance, looking like that of a dog but with a head that of a reptilian pounced at Allen, only to be stopped by the sand wall.
After its failed attack, the monster immediately leaped away but the moment it did, sand rose up from beneath it, wrapping around it. The monster cried in pain and sounds of broken bones rattled out.
Without caring about it, Allen proceeded forward while the Mummy Lord followed obediently from behind. When Allen picked up some pieces of papers such as magazines and newspapers, it immediately turned to sand when he touched it. However, Allen had still seen some information in the cover—December ** 2222. If this the Dungeon’s work, it seems a bit elaborate and down to smaller details, don’t you think?
As Allen was inspecting the entire City, at this moment, Grrrrr—!! Grrrrr—!! Grrrrr—!! Grrrrr—!! more monsters started appearing from everywhere and in no time at all, Allen and the Mummy Lord was immediately surrounded by countless monsters.
A large number of the same dog-like monster from before, but there were also a group of reptilian bipedal and quadruped monsters. There were also giant scorpions and manticore—a full blast of different monsters gathered together, surrounding them.
Allen grinned… idiots…! I didn’t care about you before but now you actually come knocking on my door…?
It seems like you all were tired of living—
“Then, let me help you…!”
