Chapter 625: [ Victory for the first War (2) ]

Swish!! Allen turned towards the Old Demon. He lay writhing on the ground, face contorted in pain, as blood oozed slowly out of his guts. With an ice-cold expression, he reached out his hand--his fingers pierced through the Old Demon’s scaly chest and blood splashed out.

Allen's gaze was still. He pushed his arm down even deeper and grabbed his heart from within. He was filled with immense killing intent. He never had emotions to begin with. His heart covered in ice. However, despite being so, the only thing that made him feel alive was the love he had towards his family and his women. Violating them is like scracthing the reverse scale of a sleeping dragon.

His wrath shall freeze everything to oblivion.

"...?!" All this time, the Old Demon couldn’t say anything and could only stare wide-eyed at Allen, full of disbelief at the same time, bone-piercing hatred.

But why would Allen care?

Allen looked expressionless and was unaffected by the people looking at him in shock and slight fear. Bluish-white sparks appeared around his arm. Immediately after Bang! Lightning shot past and the Old Demon’s chest caved in. He spewed out a mouthful of blood together with some smashed internal organs. His body arched down in a pathetic state, but his look remained bitter and was filled with resentment.

But that didn't last long. The bitterness and resentment were soon overtaken by fear. Cold temperature covered the Old Demon’s body and everyone saw him turning into a block of ice, only to be broken into dozen pieces a second after.

As the cold fog dispersed, a tiny ball of light shot forth. It was the Old Demon’s Evil Soul. Although his body had been destroyed, his spirit could still survive and live. As long as the spirit existed, he would be able to find a body to possess and then be able to live again. This is the Demon's Trump Card. This made them, almost immortal.

However, as the ball of light flew away, wanting to escape, snow-white flame landed on it and burned it up. Immediately after, the ball light exploded and terrifying spiritual energy raged out.

A devastating scream resounded in the heavens and the earth.

Dead… even the soul was completely extinguished!

This scene caused many people, no matter if they were demon, monster or human, to suck cold breaths one after another. Most people here know what that ball of light was—it was only created when a person reached the Lesser Deity Realm and created a soul form. There, even if the body dies, there would be a chance of resurrection.

But to extinguish that bit of soul, depriving the human a chance of reincarnation or resurrection—one must know, once the soul died, the existence of that being will also cease to exist!

This kind of practice is only one to those hateable enemies that could never be reconciled. Though, in the first place, extinguishing a soul is not a simple skill one could accomplish. Only when a person has the power to affect souls and spirits would be able to do such a thing. However, for a demon, much less, for the reincarnation of Solomon, the Wise Kng of Israel, such skill is nothing praiseworthy.

... ...

The Old Demon’s death caused a not-so-little effect on the entire battlefield. The Demons expression immediately changed into that of fear and dread. Even the other Demon Experts and including those fighting in the air—the extremely powerful vampires and the mysterious demon boy who was actually controlling the Spectral Cyclops felt their complexion blanches.

When their eyes landed on that small demonic figure, their hearts were then filled with fear and horror.

Even the Old Demon couldn’t even do anything against it… what about them?

If even their souls were extinguished as well, who would still dare to fight against him?!

Once their souls were distinguished, they would never have a second chance of again…!

Allen’s figure was enough to tell them that, even if they managed to suppress Asgard today, there was still Allen who could be considered an end-game level boss.

Even the strongest fighter in their group was easily weed out, just how incredulous was this situation?!

Roaring, the demons one by one, transformed into prismatic beams of light as they attempted to flee.

In this war, the Demons had been defeated… completely and utterly defeated!

And by a single person, the almost winnable battle had become a true despair instead.

However, as long as they remained alive, there was always the possibility that they could turn things around in the future. Furthermore, the Demon King has been awakened! The grudge from today will be remembered, and the time of vengeance will come!

Therefore, they fled at top speed, each one heading in a different direction and scattered to avoid being chased down.

Things happened so suddenly, whether it was the God Clans or the Demons did not expect that this would suddenly become like this. And then starting from the Demon Experts who had realized their loss and immediately turned around and flew away, every monsters and demon in the vicinity immediately back out and escape.

The curtain of the war finally slowly close down…!

… …

Allen, holding Eerika, calmly looked at them.

Although he can chase them away, if things become worse and they throw away their lives and seek for both destructions, Allen would be at a disadvantage. He might look powerful compared to them, but that was only at the surface.

With his current body, there was still a limit to the things he could do.

Fighting more than one expert is one of them.

His body was still that of a clone—though because of his intervention, the clone’s body was much stronger than normal clones, it was still…nevertheless a clone. A far cry of his real body. Beyond its limit, the body would wither or explode due to his power. However… Allen, at the same time, can’t just let them leave so easily like that!

They would surely return, and return… who knows what would happen next?

He doesn’t care about the world, or what would happen to Asgard… but Eerika is here…!

It’s completely enough reason for him to move…!

Allen’s aura fluctuated violently and his fiery eyes, abyssal gaze dilated further.

“Rest for a bit,” Allen returned his gaze at Eerika. He leaned down and captured her lips with his for a faint and gentle kiss. His gaze that caused the latter to be slightly in a daze. It was filled with love and kindness, and it slowly caused tears to begin to stream down on the girl’s face.

Eerika’s eyes heated and as she looked at his face, she felt like she was in a trance. She reached out to clasp his hand, and her eyes were filled with both love and tears.

“Hmm… I will,” she replied simply.

Allen smiled. “Don’t cry,” said him, tousling her hair. He was smiling, and the love in his eyes seemed to grow even stronger.

“It’s alright now….” he said calmly. “I’ll just do the finishing touches first,” then he turned around. With her behind him, Allen turned his wrist slightly, and the [ Frostmourne ] trembled, vibrating as if excited. “Blame you ignorance…” He extended his left leg and bent it slightly. And the chilling black sword slashed up from the bottom.

A white arc full of chilling murderous intention shot from the blade of the sword.

The sky and land shook, and all the light in the world seemed to vanish. The only thing left behind was the beautiful yet icy cold, sword beam.

Woooosh.

The sword beam surged, and the black sword descended. It appeared above the forest, flew past the Asgardian Gods, directly in front of the giant Spectral Demon. The boy stared in shock at the sword beam, and its face fell completely. It let out a miserable shriek and appeared to be in a state of thorough astonishment and disbelief. It hurriedly raced backward, accelerating its speed in an attempt to escape as fast as possible.

“This… this….”

Even as the demon retreated with lightning speed, the sword beam closed in. At the same time, an archaic voice echoed out.

“Your Excellency, please calm your anger. I beg of you to show mercy to your kind…!!”

A pleading voice…

But—

“Request denied!” growled a voice which caused explosive pressure to fill the air.

The sword beam swept through the air, and the giant let out a bloodcurdling scream. Its body exploded into burning chunks as it was destroyed in body and spirit.

“NO!!” screamed the boy. At the same time, the terrified demon boy suddenly emitted out despairing scream and BoooOOOmmMMM—!! his body exploded in the air. Then, it was completely destroyed, including its evil soul.

What—?!

All the people stared at the scene aghast!

One sword blow blotted it out of existence. Everything rumbled as one of the powerful demons was wiped away in an instant. The remaining demons froze in midair, and their faces filled with astonishment.

One move…!

Just one move and such a powerful existence were routed out!

After only a moment, with terrified faces, they hurriedly retreated.

Allen saw the demon boy and Spectral Cyclop’s death, his face let out a relief. Then, his sword once again moves as his gaze went towards the vampires anxiously running away. He was about to launch another attack, when—

“Sol!!” an anxious voice cry out from behind him and his hand was grabbed by Eerika who has a pale complexion.

“Eerika?” Allen tilted his head in confusion. Why is she stopping her? However, the answer was immediately known.

“Your arm!”

Allen’s arm holding the sword was full of cuts and wounds, bleeding like a fountain. The blood drip on the ground, like a broken faucet, slowly turning into snakes and bugs. Some even turned into deadly venomous spiders and scorpions, scattering around.

Due to the powerful attack, he had just made, the Clone’s body couldn’t house such power and his blood vessels exploded. However, Allen was numb to pain. Thus, it was nothing to him. But that doesn’t seem to be the same for Eerika.

She was angry, bitter and hurt… she didn’t want to let go of his arm. She immediately invoked a healoing spell, trying to close the open wounds. But the rate of recovery was extremely slow. Seeing him like this, was as if there were blades piercing and stabbing her heart.

Even if it was just Allen’s clone, but to her, seeing your beloved being hurt to this extent, was like her heart being ripped apart. Besides, Eerika was certain, one or two of the same attacks, Allen’s currently body would die. If it did, she wouldn’t be able to see Allen again… not until the real body appears in front of her.

And she doesn’t want it… even if it is a clone, as long as it is Allen, she would be satisfied for it to accompany her!

Furthermore, Allen wasn’t the only one here. Eric and the other Mid Gods were already chasing away the demons, it doesn’t need for him to endanger his life again just to finish the accurse enemies by himself!

Hearing her reasons, Allen could only sigh and give up. Anyway, the troublesome demon was already killed by him. Things that happened today should not appear again in the next war. There would be no illusion that would tamper their senses and let things get worse until this dangerous point.

With the Asgardians power, they should be able to at least defend their city—as long as Mammon or Virgil is not present…

[ Frostmourne ] slowly disappeared from Allen’s hand and his expression turned calm. His demonic appearance also subsided—following from his horns, wings, eyes, and black markings tattoo, he slowly reverted to a normal Allen’s clone’s appearance. He opened his hand and closes it, trying to make a feel of his body.

Although a bit sluggish, the clone’s personality seemed to have already disappeared, leaving him within the body. This is better…

“Sol, are you okay?” Eerika grasped his hand and squeeze it. Eerika’s expression was slightly pale but she ignored her own and looks at Allen’s condition.

“Yeah, more or so,” Allen smiled warmly.

In any case, the war is over…at least for now.

Following the Demon’s escape, the offensive charge and momentum of the Monsters and Demons immediately died down. After a few more symbolic rushes, they began to retreat like an ebbing tide.

“The monsters are retreating!”

“The demons are withdrawing!!”

“We’ve defended!”

“We’ve won!!”

“We’ve won!!”

“We’ve won!!”

“All Hail Asgard!!!

“All Hail Asgard!!!

“All Hail Asgard!!!

“All Hail Asgard!!!

After withstanding the impacts of tens of thousands of monsters and demons, the exhausted soldiers and warriors began to cheer, loudly, deafening as if trying to shake the earth and break the sky. The archers and mages still shot their arrows and magic, but chasing them was impossible as they scattered away like rats and cockroaches.

The people had reached the limits of their strength, and even if they were at top condition, it was impossible to chase a stampede of monsters and demons at the same time over a long distance while wearing their heavy equipment.

On another direction, as the crowd cheered on their victory, the dome-like clouds made a creaking sound and then, cracked spread through its surface before slowly disappearing. When the dark grim clouds faded, the crowd once again fell into silence as they turned their heads towards that piece of land.

Upon seeing the disastrous mess in front of them, all those who saw it suffered from a great shock!

Was this something that a person could cause?

On the center of it was a big crater, the center of it was a huge big hole, at least forty to fifty feet in depth, radiating out in a bowl-shaped depression. It would still be acceptable if it was just earth, but this was rock-hard granite!

Within the hole, there was not even a piece of rubble that was bigger than a fist! If one were to use their hands to pick it up, the rock pieces would immediately turn to powder and dissipate with the wind!

In the surroundings of the hole, the place was neat and clean for a good few feet around it, without even a blade of grass present. The surface was neat and flat, as though a group of workers had dusted the place thoroughly. It was possible that even if it was them, they might not even be able to match this standard!

The trees around the area were strangely devoid of leaves at the side facing the huge hole, forming an interesting sight with one side bare and the other bursting with lush leaves. Lines of white ash were present around the area, forming a scene as though a prehistoric animal had suddenly bared its fangs!

In the area, dark red splashes could be seen intermittently for over a good hundred feet!

What had happened in this place… a while ago?

Confused, terrified, happiness, excitement and many more kind of feelings surfaced on each of the faces of the people as they look at the small and lithe figure holding hands with their little princess; Eerika, who was currently smiling and laughing happily.

At this moment, she looks like a young mother going a stroll with her son… but no one dared to laugh or smile due to this comical scene, because the particular son on this image, is a grand demon whose power can’t be measured accurately!

This Demon… was it a friend… or a foe…?

No one had a question about it before due to the tension of the war, nor have they a time to care for it. But now, with all things clear and done, they finally realized such an issue!

Who was this demon whose power seemed to be comparable to their Gods…?
