Chapter 136: [ A Silver Crystal under the Sea ]

The merwoman felt so angry she wanted to yell and scream. All sorts of feelings were welling up in her heart, but they weren’t good feelings.

What did he mean by a friend? He killed his servants and even made one of them an undead and he said that they were friends?!

What did he mean by saved? He was the one who almost killed her! And he even took her pouch from her!!

So shameless!!

She clenched her jaw so hard that the sound of grinding teeth echoed through the calm sea.

She looked at Allen acting indifferent, and her fist balled up even tighter. She couldn’t stop shaking in anger.

“Who are you? Are you one of the people of the sea king?” Allen asked.

It could be said that he has some friendship with the sea king, not as close as best friends but it was fine.

She gnashed her teeth and said: “Are ye talking about King Oceanus?”

“Yup, that guy.”

“I,”

“Kill her immediately! She’s a witch!”

The merwoman hesitated for a bit but before she could answer, a voice rang out from behind her.

Allen frowned and looked. Since he didn’t use [ Sonar ] in the sea, if there was someone there, he wouldn’t be able to notice it.

So who was this newcomer? And what did she mean by a witch?

Not so far away from them, someone was there, floating in the sea.

A woman.

She was beautiful.

She was simply and utterly beautiful.

Allen thought as he ended up getting captivated by her beauty.

Was she around 18 or 19?

She had blue hair that seemed like it was shining as it draped down to her shoulders.

She had big, beautiful blue eyes that seemed almost transparent.

The length of her smooth, wavy hair and her skin which was as white as snow- this almost unrealistic beauty can only be described as “peerless”.

Surprisingly, aside from the clams covering her beautiful soft-looking mounds, she wasn’t wearing anything.

Who is she?

“Ye stinky Fishman! Do ye want to die!?” The merwoman angrily cried out as soon as she saw the girl.

Fishman?

“Ah!” Allen suddenly realized something. Indeed she was floating in the sea, but if one looks closely, although he can’t see her lower body, each side of her neck were gills akin to a fish.

She’s a mermaid…

“You witch! How dare you attack my village!!” The mermaid yelled.

“Oh, so you’re a criminal?” Allen watched the drama unfolded and reach this conclusion.

Hearing what Allen said, the merwoman’s body trembled. She didn’t say anything and just glared at the mermaid, wishing as if she could devour her alive.

“She’s Agathi Dorhuck! An evil witch! She wanders around destroying every village she saw with her monsters and steals everything she wanted!”

“Slander! I might be evil but how dare ye call me a witch? No witch as beautiful as me possibly existed!”

“Actually, I don’t think that’s the problem here…” Allen retorted at Agathi’s shameless claim.

Allen let out a sigh. “So you’re Agathi, an evil witch. Indeed you look like a Scylla~”

“…” Agathi gnashed her teeth and started saying: “I’m… I’m not a witch!”

“That’s why kill her!” The mermaid said while crying. “Hero, please kill her and avenge my people.”

Allen looked at Agathi, his face wearing his usual smile.

Agathi looked at the mermaid with a murderous expression, one that made others shiver in fear.

“Okay, I heard your plea.”

Allen’s words caused Agathi to instantly pale.

“W, wai-!”

“But, I’ll give you two choices, Agathi.” A cunning gleam flashed across Allen’s eyes. “Become my servant and I will spare you.”

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

“But Hero,”

“This is also good for you, mermaid. I will take Agathi away and your home wouldn’t be attacked by her again.”

The mermaid seems to still have words she wanted to say but Allen ignored her and returned her gaze at Agathi.

“I, I don’t want to die!” Agathi trembled. “I, I don’t want to become an undead!”

“Of course you won’t.” Allen grins at her misunderstanding. “Before I’m a necro, I’m a tamer~”

!?

“So what will you choose?”

--- ---

Allen reanimated the giant squid before putting them inside the summoning grimoire.

As undead was considered as monsters, although they were not tamed properly the Grimoire still allowed storing them.

With a huge difference, that is, all undead was stored inside a very special page… the black page.

The storage page in the back of the book.

Thus, Allen has no choice but to move everything inside with the exception of the guitar case, storing Allen’s Hecate, to another else; the storage bag Alkrasha gave him.

For now, that would be where his undead monsters would be placed at… of course, unless he would find a book or a grimoire that could store undead monsters --- for example, the very famous Necronomicon or the Book of the Dead!

But where can he find that kind of thing? He had heard it existed but never seen it.

Well, things come when they come… no need to worry about it.

As for Agathi Dorhuck, of course, she had become Allen’s tamed beast!

Although she was reluctant and unyielding due to fear of death, she doesn’t have any choice but to surrender!

Right now, Allen had already 22 tamed beasts with additional 2 undead monsters!

Allen ignored the displeased and angry mermaid, bid farewell and left.

He continued on his way to Milan.

He unsummoned Lan and instead of flying, he rode on the Kraken’s back.

Flying while using Lan’s wings consumed mana and also it would exhaust the poor bird so, Allen compromised and rode the Kraken until they reach land, on where he would resume his flying session.

With Kraken’s presence, the way was extremely peaceful.

Some huge monsters appeared but with the Kraken’s strength, it was easily dealt with by it. In this moments, Kraken, is rumored to be Lord of the sea really, deserves its reputation.

Allen didn’t do anything, lazily stretched and just lie down on the Kraken’s back, looking at the peaceful sky. With his augmented vision, he can see some bird type monsters flying.

Although there a bit noise from somewhere, it was still relatively peaceful. He closed his eyes and hummed until he actually fell asleep.

Time passed by…

Suddenly, Allen who was peacefully sleeping frowned. He was rocking from side to side and the ground seems to be shaking as if there was an earthquake.

Ground? Earthquake?

Allen opened his eyes immediately. What do you mean by ground? Wasn’t he still in the sea?

Boom! Boom! Explosions resounded.

Allen finally found out what caused the shaking. The Kraken was fighting against something.

It was another Kraken, though larger and bigger.

Don’t tell me, this idiot… did it just pick a fight without thinking anything?

Tentacles hover and eerie cries and roar disturbed the calm sea.

As Allen wanted to scold the Kraken, at this moment, he felt something.

A familiar sensation.

Mana!?

“There’s a silver crystal somewhere!” Allen muttered. A huge amount of mana enveloped the entire area.

Allen’s eyes locked into the large Kraken. Was it the guardian? Then it means that…

Allen leisurely walked at the edge, a tentacle swept over him but was slapped by the undead Kraken.

He looked down at the sea. Unclear and a bit fuzzy but he can still see a bit of light from it.

This is a problem…

Allen frowned. It really was under the sea… he can’t take it.

As Allen was thinking of what to do, the battle against the two Krakens was getting intense but unfortunately, anyone can already see the outcome.

The Undead Kraken was getting overwhelmed. Fortunately, it was already an undead if not it would have already died from countless holes on its body.

Allen decided first to finish of the Kraken. Clenching his fist, a lightning spear materializes.

With a snort, he throws it towards the Kraken.

And in a blink of an eye, the large Kraken was pierced through the lightning spear and released a large roar of pain before its huge body fell down.

The lightning spear didn’t stop and made a huge line on the surface of the sea, as if it split it into two, reaching until one or two kilometers in sight.

And a huge explosion happened.

Even the shockwave could be felt where Allen was standing.

With the huge Kraken dead, Allen now has the time to consider the problem. The silver crystal was deep in the sea and he can’t swim.

Making his tamed beasts took the crystal for him was also impossible. Although he’s not sure if Monster Kings are the same, still monsters can’t hold Silver crystals as it became intangible for them.

- Though some humanoid monsters can do it, especially those with extremely high intelligence!

Agathi!

Allen immediately thought about the evil witch, ah no, Agathi the evil Alchemist.

Although he’s not sure if she could touch it, she should have something that could help him!

And so, he called out Agathi.

Unlike before, after being tamed, Agathi become extremely obedient.

“Agathi, can you give me something that helps me to breathe underwater?”

Agathi pondered for a moment.

She doesn’t have any potion or knows how to create something that had effects like that, after all, why would she need it? She was already a merman!

“Ah!” Agathi suddenly remembered something. “Master, can ye lend me the pouch for a minute?”

“The pouch? Okay.”

Agathi rummages through the insides of the small pouch until she finally found something.

It was a plant resembling seaweed called green sea fingers or Dead man’s fingers but bluish in color.

“This is called Gillyweed,” Agathi said with a smile. “When ye ate it, it will give ye gills and webbing between the fingers and toes like a Fishman, allowing ye to breathe underwater and move more easily.”

“Gillyweed?” Allen was surprised after hearing the name. That’s kinda familiar, actually…

Ah, Harry Potter!

“Is this what Gillyweed looked like?” looking at the gilly weed, Allen couldn’t help but asked.

From what he knows, in Harry Potter Gillyweed resembles a bundle of slimy, gray-green rat tails.

Not Codium fragile…

“Yes, why master?” Agathi tilted her head in confusion.

“Ah no, I thought they were more like, slimmer, longer, slender… like rat tails~”

“Oh, ye’re talking about the royal Gillyweed!”

“Royal Gillyweed?”

“Royal Gillyweed looks like that and its effect last longer than this common Gillyweed.” Agathi patiently explained.

“Oh, so this is a common Gillyweed?”

“Yes, Master. Royal Gillyweed only grows in the garden of Atlantis, the Kingdom of King Oceanus…”

“Is that so,” Allen nodded. Why does he doesn’t know about this? That bastard Oceanus? Did he actually hide it from him? So stingy!

In the previous life, Allen can only visit Atlantis whenever he equipped his fish-type monsters in order to breathe underwater.

When asked Oceanus about some convenient way, he said he has no clue!

That dumbass!!

Allen suppressed his bubbling rage and swore to destroy some buildings inside Atlantis when he has a chance. He took a deep breath and asked, “So with this, I can breathe even underwater?”

Agathi nodded.

“How long will it last?”

“At most, 30 minutes … probably…”

“That’s better.”

With that, Allen ate the Gillyweed and with Agathi, ordered the Kraken to dive underwater.
