Chapter 766: [Would you admire me more?]

Chapter 766: [Would you admire me more?]

“Dimension Monsters?!”

This inconceivable scene greatly shocked not only Allen but also Mia and the other people on the battlefield and those within the City.

Monsters from other dimensions—although not uncommon but something this big, large-scale was the first…of course, since the start of the Cataclysm. No, that should be one and only event in a single world. But now, it happens again.

This event had not occurred in the previous world causing most reincarnators to feel panic and anxiety.

There were many different types of monsters that had appeared, and there were too many to be counted. The most common, and with the lowest grade, were Rook-ranked Monsters. There were also several Knight, dozen Bishops, and to everyone's horror, they were several Queen ranked Monsters.

With Allen’s current strength, he did not even place Queen-ranked monsters, which could cause mass destruction in any continent, in his eyes anymore. However, just as he saw the Queen ranked Monsters in the air, its numbers greatly shocked him.

Damn so many!!

The monsters in the air drew closer and closer to the ground on the entire continent, and a dark and suppressive air covered the entire city of Italica.

In an instant, the entire battlefield turned even more chaotic as powerful monsters started appearing and attacking the City Barrier intensely.

“Go die!!”

How could Allen allow these monsters to break the barrier? He instantly killed a dozen monsters of Bishop Level that had descended above the City’s barrier. However, the barrier was suffering quite large damages due to the number of monsters that had descended from above, catching the defenders off-guard.

Allen took a deep breath and spewed out dragon breathes, incinerating the monsters that were attacking the barrier directly. However, although he had killed dozens every passing minute, he wouldn’t be able to kill all of them immediately with these numbers.

“We’re going in!”

Mia and the others immediately muttered and each of them exploded their own powerful auras.

Mia’s body was immediately covered by a blue-colored steel armor with white feathers attached to her helmet and wrists. There’s also a pair of beautiful white feathery wings sprouted on her back. However, unlike the normal angelic wings, its coverts and wingtips are covered by metallic sheen as if it was made from pure silver.

With a spread of her wings, she flew towards the incoming monsters.

Aileen’s body glowed brightly and she immediately followed Mia. Layla started chanting her magic skills to give them support while Sara Avesta activated his Demi-Beast Mode of her Manticore, giving her bestial features such as a lion mane and fur. A pair of enormous bat-like wings appeared on her back and her eyes glared out its feline predatory gaze.

With a roar, she immediately followed Aileen and Mia in the air.

There are also other people who had followed Mia and the others, rushing towards the direction of the monsters that were assaulting the barrier.

The war on the battlefield once again becomes even more intense than ever before with the appearance of the high-level monsters. Without the support of Allen, who had focused on the falling monsters that were attacking the Barrier, the Superhuman were slowly being pushed back. Even Eliade, Ava, Flor, and Sun Lingling were having much difficulty from the newly arrived invaders.

“Tsk! I don’t know what’s going on here but, things have gone awry, isn’t it?!” Flor frowned.

“I haven’t heard about this… These monsters, they’re no less dangerous than Dragons!”

After she had finished speaking, the color of Sun Lingling's arms changed into that of a diamond. It was a sign that she was using the {Kira Kira no Mi}, an ability to transform her body into that of a diamond, giving her a very tough body, as diamond is one of the hardest substances in the world.

"Good! You defend, and I attack!"

Flor said happily as she saw Sun Lingling using her devil fruit. Actually, she too was given the chance of obtaining a Devil Fruit. However, she didn’t want to give up her ability to swim, since she unexpectedly likes swimming and surfing. Besides, she was already satisfied with her current power and abilities, and having more would just be a disadvantage to her because she wouldn’t know what to prioritize.

The huge demonic mosquito was very fast, and when it sped forward, it didn't fly in a straight line. Instead, it zigzagged left and right, and then up and down...

Apparently, it was using tactics while attacking?

However, Sun Lingling and Flor who was a veteran warrior felt that it would have been better if the demonic mosquito had simply flown in a straight line and increased its speed in the process. After all, the fact that it was zigzagging its way toward them didn't really cause them any annoyance.

“Still, giant mosquitoes, huh… just where are these monsters coming from…?”

Just as Sun Lingling was in deep thoughts, the huge mosquito suddenly disappeared from her sight.

The huge mosquito had suddenly accelerated and teleported next to Sun Lingling. The speed of that sudden acceleration surpassed the speed that Sun Lingling was able to react to. The huge mosquito grinned and used its long and thick mouthpart to stab Sun Lingling. If that thing were to hit her, Sun Lingling would get sucked dry in the blink of an eye. However, if she was a normal Superhuman.

Claang!

As if a dull knife trying to stab a thick metal wall, the huge mosquito was stunned after failing to penetrate its target. When it looks again, the target’s body turned into a beautiful shining crystal.

“Too bad, you’ve chosen the wrong prey,”

A smirking voice appeared from behind the huge mosquito and Flor appeared, slashing down at the monster.

“Try eating that!”

The huge mosquito let out a painful cry as a large wound appeared on its back and cutting its wings. However, it was still alive—as expected of a Knight Class Blood Mosquito.

However, Sun Lingling appeared below it and with her Demon Sword, slashed its belly with a horizontal stroke. Blood and organs spewed out from the gaping wound. Then, Sun Lingling leaped and her long slender leg sweeps like a whip—

Baaaang!!

The Blood Mosquito was sent flying away, hitting another Blood Mosquito that was attacking a group of defenders.

“This is what chaos, supposed to meant,” Flor chuckled as she landed on the ground.

“Not a word I’m fond with,” Sun Lingling muttered with a wry smile.

“But it’s a word greatly associated with ‘him’ so as long as you stand beside him, you have no other choice but to get used to it,”

“Actually, you have a point there,” Sun Lingling laughed as she sent several blade arcs and cutting down enemies like reaping weeds in a garden.

““OOorya~!!””

Sun Lingling and Flor jumped almost simultaneously and kicked a three to four-meter Orc-like creature that was holding a massive battle mace. And with the momentum, used its chest as a stepping stone and jumped up.

““Yaaaa~!”””

Then, they attacked the heads of the other Orc-like monsters behind it.

Each bringing down a monster with the exact same moves using their Demon Swords.

“Guooooooh!”

“Mh, this is?”

From the right direction, an ‘Ogre’ made his appearance while raising a war cry.

They resemble the orcs in their build itself, but the redness of their skin and the horn growing on their head brought forth a clear difference.

And also the ogres are not carrying fat, but bulky muscles instead. As if they were made of stones, they are somewhat intimidating. They’re even acknowledged as dangerous monsters among the Knight Rank monsters from their hitting power and superhuman strength.

“Hey! That one’s a Demon Ogre――”

“Out of the way!”

Flor accelerated and drew her sword. And then, just like that, cut down the ogre in front of them with a single swing.

There were no signs of her stopping.

“You’ve taken my prey again,” Sun Lingling sigh helplessly.

“Well, first comes first served,” Flor grinned mischievously.

“Huooooah!”

Sun Lingling whose body shined with glorious light, turning into a diamond, intercepts one of the orc’s deadly blows.

“Haaaah!”

While the orc is still recovering, Flor once again cuts it down. The orc’s disgusting blood gushes out, clinging to the otherwise beautiful figure of Sun Lingling. However, instead of feeling disgusted, the blood on his body churned and suddenly shot towards her Demonic Sword—and like a sponge that was drenched in water, it was immediately absorbed by it.

Sun Lingling’s Demon Sword gleamed ominously and the blood-splattered around her moved like living things and then turned into blood spears, a skill almost identical to that of Pure Vampires.

“In any case, we need to clean this area immediately and head back. The Monsters dropping from the sky filled the Barrier with pests,”

“I know, so let’s do this!”

“Uuoooh!!”

… …

While the battle in the mortal world was becoming tense, so was those in the other realms, especially in the Demon World.

“It must be strange for you, coming into this room.”

Suddenly, Lucifer, in Mammon’s body, muttered with a faint smile.

His gaze roamed around the hall they were currently in.

“… not at all—in fact, it's like staring into a backed-up toilet!”

Allen replied in a cynical fashion as he looks around the place they ended up with after fighting for so long. It was a room—a Throne Hall, to be exact. High above, the blue ceiling can be seen glittering with constellations, and the Thrones Chairs, more than ten, stand in a ‘U’ around a hearth.

Allen and Lucifer were floating above the over ten-meter tall Throne Chairs, overlooking the surrounding.

This is…?

Allen’s face somewhat turned strange. This is an exact replica of the Hall of the Gods found in Mt. Olympus, the land where the Gods of the Greeks resided; {The Olympians}

Why is it here?

No, why did something so similar exists in this place…?

Did Lucifer build it…?

Upon realizing that, Allen couldn’t help but smile bitterly; “…Why do you always like reviving the past which no one likes to remember. Come on, dude, don't you have any hobbies? At least, pleasant ones…?”

“One cannot walk further without looking back at the past. What about you, Brother? How could you just walk away, without even looking back behind you? Why are you forgetting the past? The people you were protecting have done to us? Why is it are you capable of turning your back to your real family and just ignored the sufferings we had forced to experience, all because of the selfish people you are now trying to protect…?”

“You are not wrong. However, what happens in the past must stay in the past, Lucifer. Bringing it out now and for the future will only lead to endless hatred and pain. Going loop by loop, without any end. Why bother? All of us make mistakes, who didn’t? But it doesn’t mean you can condemn countless people, countless worlds, just because of the mistakes of a few bastards did… you are just propagating pain. You are repeating what we didn’t want to happen again.” Allen snarled in anger.

“Yeah, you might be right… but it doesn’t mean that what happened in the past can be left alone!” Lucifer snorted. His eyes glowing coldly. “Do you still think that what happened to Hel, my beloved daughter, eternal imprisonment is justifiable, Dante?”

“… …” Allen frowned.

Lucifer continued, “I was standing right here when it happened. She was very brave, my beloved daughter. She was outstanding. Our brothers too. Our Mother. But no one stands up for them. No one heard their cries. They didn't deserve to be punished like that- nobody deserves to be punished like that.”

Allen growled hatefully; “But you just stood there and watched.”

Lucifer shook his head. “A thousand men just stood there and watched. All the great people, the Gods, the Deities, you think anyone said a word, lifted a finger? No, Dante. A thousand men and this room were silent as a crypt...except for the screams, of course, and the Arrogant King laughing. And later, when I watched the Arrogant King die, I remembered him laughing as my daughter threw in that hellish prison and our brothers, our mother killed...it felt like justice.”

Allen snickered.

“Is that what you tell yourself at night, Lucifer? You're a servant of justice? That you were avenging Hel, and all of them when you shoved your sword in Zeus back?”

Lucifer snickered; “Tell me, if I'd stabbed that arrogant bastard in the belly instead of the back, would you admire me more?”

“… …”
