“How is the boy?”
A middle–aged woman asked when she heard footsteps behind her. She finished her tea and placed down the teacup.
She has dark grey long hair which cascaded down to the middle of her back. Her face was white and her features exquisite and delicate. Her dark brown eyes had a gentle look to them, and there was a faint smile displayed on her face.
If one looks at her, one would never think that her age as far beyond what her appearance dictates.
“Alright but still unconscious,” Eerika replied as she walked over to the table and poured herself a cup of tea from the kettle.
“Judging from the people with you, the journey must have been quite terrible…”
“Not just terrible… we were almost annihilated.” Eerika said while sighing. “I just don’t know how the demons know that I went outside…”
“… a mole, huh…”
“I also think so,” Eerika’s eyes narrowed.
“Then, this must be investigated with great attention…” The woman said indifferently. “Right, tell me what had happened… especially, that slime and that youth,”
Eerika nodded her head and then started narrating what had happened since they came back from their mission. The ambush, the chasing, the hopeless situation and then a youth falling from the sky, accidentally killing the Demon Bull; Rugara.
“…then a slime came out from his body, protecting him,” Eerika said. “It was too overprotective that it won’t even let me come closer to the boy,”
“… …” Listening to Eerika the woman flashed a thoughtful look. “Which clan do you think he came from…?”
Eerika shook her head. “I can’t say for certain.”
“… …”
“His magic power and energy is too depleted that I can sense anything from him. The first time I check his condition, I was startled. His magic power was too dry as if it was consumed entirely. Normal people, even if it was from a major clan, they would certainly be in grave danger in that moment. But I was shocked to feel a small suction coming from within him…”
!? The woman frowned.
“It was replenishing the loss of his magic power at a very astonishing speed. Even the broken and wrecked organs inside his body was mending and recovering at an unbelievable speed. His regeneration ability is really a marvel to see…” Eerika sighed in astonishment.
Recalling the sensation she was feeling, Eerika can help but feel nothing but admiration and awe. Among the current generation, that youth’s regenerative ability is one of the best she had seen so far. Even those from the descendants of the Gods of fertility, his ability was among the best.
For normal high humans and godkins, that mana depletion was extremely dangerous and might even lead to their death but for that youth, due to his regenerative factor, he was quickly recovering what had been lost.
“… …”
“I had said before that he would probably recover in just weeks’ time but from what I could see, it would be even less than that…”
–Though the reason why he had turned into something like that was still something needed to investigate. Who and why had he turned out like that…
“Thus, I concluded that he was certainly not from a small clan, probably a God’s child in some major clans…”

“Then, I’ll try to reach the other clans to see if some of their young’s gone missing,” The woman shrugs.
“Please do mother,” Eerika smiled gently.

Visiting and checking the youth’s condition became Eerika’s new routine.
Eerika stared at the youth lying on the bed with curious and interested expression. Beside the bed was the slime girl who was always taking care of him, causing Eerika to feel slightly moved. For him to have such tamed monster, just who is he…?
As she was observing his body from the distance, since the Slime girl would never let her or other people come close to him, she suddenly noticed a fluctuation of mana from the body.
What…?
Eerika’s eyes widened slightly. Is he waking up…?
Eerika wasn’t the only one who had noticed something as the Slime Girl immediately cheered. Her flaccid like body trembled violently as she stared at the youth’s face.
His eyelids trembled and slowly… it opened, revealing a striking blood colored pupils.
Seeing the youth finally opened his eyes and woke up, the Slime Girl immediately pounced on the youth in jubilation. Too bad, it couldn’t make a sound or else, her happy and excited cry would certainly have echoed in the entire mansion!
Eerika saw the youth frowned and then slowly raised his body up. He looked around with curiosity.
“It’s good that you’re awake,” Eerika walked toward him.
“You are…?” The silver-haired youth stared at Eerika in doubt and suspicion. “Where am I?”
“You’re in the Norse Clan…”
“Norse…?” The Silver-haired youth frowned.
“Now then, may I know your name? Which clan are you from?”
“… ….” The Silver-haired youth clutched his head and his face distorted in pain. “I… I don’t know…”
“What?!” Eerika’s eyes widened.
“I, I can’t… remember…” The silver-haired gritted his teeth as if he was enduring something. He then looked at the slime girl hugging him, “This is…?”
The slime girl raised her head and looked at the youth. She tilted her head, showing her bewilderment.
Did he lose… his memory…?
Eerika stared at the man in disbelief. Is he pretending…? But Eerika wouldn't know if he was really faking it or not, after all, she doesn’t know what had happened to him before.
Just what caused his energy to be depleted…?
Is this also the reason why he lost his memory now…?
Eerika was confused it. “She seemed to be your tamed monster…”
“Mine…?”
Eerika nodded. She wanted to say something else but suddenly she saw the youth’s pained face that seemed to be trying to recall but couldn’t. She couldn’t find any hint that he was just faking it.
After a few moments of hesitation, she said, “I’m going to call some healers. So please wait for a moment,” she then turned around and started walking towards the door.
“Thank you,” A gentle voice rang out behind her.
Eerika glanced at him and nodded. After closing the door, she left.
Looking at the closed door, the youth’s expression changed. The youth’s gentle smile turned into a grin.
“I see… so I safely arrived… still, Norse, huh…” The youth muttered while petting the slime lovingly.
He was none other than, Allen Bando who safely arrived at the Land of the Gods, the Celestial Realm!
Although he had managed to regain a bit of his power but it was still not enough. The worst is, he couldn’t even feel his Grimoire…
It’s probably because, like him, Rebellion had also depleted her magic power.
Allen looked down at Lime and smiled gently. It seems like his debt on Lime once again increased.
Probably, the only reason she managed to appear is that Lime was a special monster. Her life and Allen’s life was connected so she can appear whenever she wanted. She mostly stays within his body rather than stay inside the Grimoire.
Oh well, in any case, he luckily arrived at the Norse Clan and not in a Demon’s territory. He should pretend that he didn’t remember anything and seize this chance to gather information quietly.
Allen’s lips curved upwards.

A high-level healer examined Allen’s condition but aside from having severe energy consumption, there was no other malady or any kind of injury.
Thus, the healers are at lost as to what had caused the memory loss.
However, a healer suddenly thought of something and then check. Much to his surprise, he then found out that a part of Allen’s soul was hurt and seemed to be broken. Due to this unexpected find, the healers concluded that this was probably the primary cause of it!
As for the cause, only Allen knows. This probably happened when they were trying to force their way in into this world. Although, in fact, due to Allen’s strong soul and spirit, it only caused a bit of weakening but this had actually become a good reason for his play –pretend!
Well, I guess this can be a fortune in disguise...
In the study room within the Main Mansion.
“I had already asked… but it seems like, no one knows about this youth…” The middle–aged woman said as put down the paper on the table.
“Really?” Eerika frowned.
“Yeah,” The woman nodded. “Then, there are only two possible conclusions. That boy is from a Major Clan that had been annihilated or from a small Clan that similarly defeated and managed to escape.”
“… …”
“For now, due to the weak and unstable magic power coming from him, we still couldn’t conclude anything. Anyway, observe him for quite some time. We might find some clues to his origins…”
Eerika nodded.
Who is he...?
